Chinese Journal of Bases and Clinics in General Surgery 2003;0(03):-
Objective To explore the influence of cirrhotic portal hypertension and its complications on liver transplantation. Methods The literatures of the recent years on influence of hepatic cirrhotic portal hypertension on liver transplantation were reviewed. Results Splenomegaly, hypersplenism, portal vein thrombosis, portosystemic shunt and collateral flow in cirrhotic patients will increase the difficulty of liver transplantation and lead to more postoperative complications. Appropriate handling of these conditions can achieve a higher success rate of liver transplantation. Conclusion Correct management of end-stage cirrhotic portal hypertension and its complications can expand the indications of liver transplantation and improve long-term survival rates.

Journal of Environment and Health 2000;17(6):351-354
[Objective]To understand the changes of children's blood lead levels and intelligence quotient (IQ) andthe effects of automobile exhaust on the prevelance rates of respiratory symptoms of children. [Methods] 151 pupilsof Y primary school in urban area were selected as exposure group, 160 pupils of Z primary school in Pudong districtwere selected as control group. The health questionaire survey and health examination were carried out amongpupils. The peripheral blood lead levels of the forth finger were determined. The IQ was determined by combinedRaven's Test. The data were statistically analzed by EPI Info and SAS statistic softwares. [Results] Significant differ-ences of blood lead levels were observed between exposure group and control group. The blood lead levels (x) negatively correlated with children's IQ (y) (y= 120. 11--0. 129x) . The prevelance rates of sore and uncomfortable feelings and foreign body sensation in throat and cough of exposure group were significantly higher than those in controlgroup. The ORs of corresponding symptoms were 1.71, 2, 64 and 2. 92 respectively. The multiple linear regressionanalysis showed that exposure to automobile exhaust and the distances from the residential region to street with heavytraffic were the main factors affecting the children's peripheral blood lead levels and the prevelance of respiratorysymptoms. [Conclusion] Further control of the emission of automobile exhaust and reasonable planning of location ofresidential areas were the main measures to control the prevelance of lead poisoning and its related diseases of children.

Journal of International Oncology 2012;39(5):330-333
Because of the characteristics of microRNAs (miRNAs) and their important regulative roles in human tumor diseases, they may be novel approaches for gene target therapy. Most studies focus on finding critical regulator miRNAs of oncogenes or tumor suppressor genes.Recent researches show that the expression of miR-221 and miR-222 are abnormal, and they play different roles in different types of human tumors. The regulation of miR-221 and miR-222 may be a novel effective therapy for tumor.

Chinese Journal of Forensic Medicine 2002;0(05):-
Objective To select the indexes of forensic identification in digital orthopantomogram and formulate the full dentition pattern code. Methods To collect randomly 620 samples with dental interventions and 150 samples with dental pathological changes but without therapy. Then to observe and compare them respectively, select indexes for full dentition patterns according to the dental physiological variations, pathological changes and interventions Finally the diversity of the full dentition patterns in two groups would be evaluated by statistical analysis. Results The group with dental interventions had 619 kinds of dental pattern in 620 samples, its diversity of full dentition patterns was 99.84%.The group with dental pathological changes but without therapy had 146 kinds of dental pattern in 150 samples, thus its diversity of full dentition patterns was 97.33%.Conclusion These full dentition pattern indexes were valuable in the forensic identification of persons with abnormal teeth.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a microbial limit test method for povidone iodine solution.METHODS:Validation on methodology of the microbial limit test of povidone iodine solution was performed using plating method(Ⅰ),culture agent dilution method(Ⅱ),membrane-filter procedure method(Ⅲ)and sodium thiosulfate neutralization in combination with membrane-filter procedure method(Ⅳ).RESULTS:The recovery rates of all of the test organisms in method Ⅰ and method Ⅱ approached zero, less than 70% in method Ⅲ but above 85% in method Ⅳ.The growth of the control bacteria was abnormal in method Ⅱand method Ⅲ,but normal in method Ⅳ.CONCLUSION:It is advisable to adopt the method Ⅳ for microbial limit test of povidone iodine solution.

Objective To analysis the effect of metformin on the expression of heat shock protein and VEGF in 5637 cell line of bladder cancer. Methods 5637 cell line of bladder cancer were selected, divided into blank control group, metformin 2 mM group, 5 mM group, 10 mM group and 20 mM group, 5637 cell line of bladder cancer were treated in each group. The cell proliferation inhibition rate was detected by MTT colorimetric assay, cell clone formation rate was detected by plate clone formation test, flow cytometry was used to detect cell cycle change, the expression levels of HSP-70, HSP-90α, VEGF were detected by Western blot method. Results Compared with control group, the inhibition rate of 5637 cell line of bladder cancer after 24, 48, 72 h were higher in all concentrations of metformin group(P<0.05), the higher the concentration and the longer the action time, the stronger inhibitory effect on cell proliferation.Compared with control group, the clone formation rate of 5637 cell line of bladder cancer in all concentrations of metformin group was lower, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with control group, the proportion of G1 phase cells were higher, the proportion of S phase cells were lower in in all concentrations of metformin group (P<0.05), the proportion of G2 phase cells in metformin 2 mM group, 5 mM group were lower(P<0.05).Compared with control group, the expression levels of HSP-70, HSP-90α, VEGF protein were lower in all concentrations of metformin group, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion Metformin has obvious inhibitory effects on the expression of HSP-70, HSP-90α, VEGF in 5637 cell line of bladder cancer, can inhibit cell proliferation and cloning, promote the occurrence of G1 block, cause cell apoptosis, the effect was dose dependent.

Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation 2003;0(06):-
Objective To establish an effective method for inducing mouse bone marrow mononuclear cells(MNCs) to differentiate into hepatocytes. Methods MNCs were isolated by gradient density centrifugation, and the cells were cultured in Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's medium supplemented with 10 % new bovine serum(NBS),20 ng/ml hepatocyte growth factor(HGF),10 ng/ml fibroblast growth factor-4(FGF-4) and 10 ng/ml oncostatin m(OSM) for 21 days' induction. The medium was changed every 3 days. Results When MNCs were cultured with HGF,FGF-4 and OSM,cuboidal morphology was observed, and cells also expressed marker genes specific for liver cells in a time-dependent manner.?-fetoprotein(AFP) and cytokeratin 19(CK19) were expressed on the day 7,and CK18 and TAT were detected on the day 14-21,in common with the immunofluoresence results.Differentiated cells further demonstrated these cells also acquired functional characteristics of hepatocytes. Conclusion Mouse MNCs can differentiate into hepatocytes when induced by HGF,FGF-4 and OSM.
