1.SF-1 gene mutation and gonad development
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(6):631-633
Orphan nuclear receptor steroidogenic factor 1 (SF-1) is a member of the nuclear receptor superfamily. It regulates the expression of multiple genes involved in adrenal and gonadal development, steroidogenesis, and reproductive function. Twenty five different mutations have been described and their clinical features are various. Detection of SF-1 gene may be contribute to the etiological diagnosis for 46, XY disorder of sex development patients.
2.Protective effect of vitamin E on rat liver mitochondrial respiratory dysfunction induced by lipid extract of burn eschar
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(04):-
Lipid extract of burn eschar (D_1) added to isolated rat liver mitochondrialcaused depression of respiratory control ratio (RCR), ADP/O ratio, rate of ATP produc-tion, respiration rate in state 3 but it stimulated the respiration rate in state 4. Pretreat-ment with vitamin E significantly prevented the inhibition of mitochondrial respiratoryfunction caused by D_1. The addition of vitamin E after that of D_1 had no protective ef-fect. Heat-treatment of D_1 markedly reduced its inhibitory effect on mitochondrial respira-tory function. Cumene hydroperoxide (CHP) markedly depressed mitochondrial respiration.Vitamin E caused a significant increase in RCR, which was inhibited by CHP at lowerconcentrations. Vitamin E reduced MDA formation considerably in normal mitochondriaand in those mitochondria incubated with D_1, heated D_1 or CHP. These findings indicatedthat D_1 -and CHP-induced depression of mitochondrial respiratory function was probablydue to lipid peroxidation damage which was proved by the protective effct of the pota-tive antioxidant vitamin E.
3.Primary culture of nontumorigenic human mammary epithelial cells
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the feasibility of primary culture of nontumorigenic human mammary epithelial cells, and the effect of proliferation due to hormone. Methods Normal human mammary tissue was taken from mammary segment ectomy, and the tissue was digested by collagenase type Ⅰ.Epithelial depuration was carried out by integration of burning and enzyme digestion. The cells we acquired were identified by observation of cell morphology by light and Transmission Electron Microscopy(TEM).Results It is feasible to culture nontumorigenic human mammary epithelial cells.?-estradiol and progesterone at 1?10-5 g/L can promote the proliferation of the normal human mammary epithelial cells.
4.Effect of absorbable poly-D,L-lactide acid rod on development of rabbit epiphyseal plate
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2001;0(09):-
0.05).Both femur bone lengths in 3.2mm group were shorter than those in the 1.5 mm and 2.2 mm groups. No abnormalities of cartilage cells were observed, without obvious histological evidence of inflammation;only nonspecific foreign body reaction and macrophage infiltration were noticed. Conclusion: PDLLA rod itself does not cause any disturbance to the development of the epiphyseal plate. The growth disturbance of epiphyseal plate depends on the area of injured epiphyseal plate;a injured area over 7% of epiphyseal plate may cause the growth disturbance of epiphyseal plate.
5.Determination of the Trace Elements Ox-gallstong from Three Sources with EDAX
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(06):-
Nine samples of oX-gallstong have been studied by scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer. The determinative results indicated that calculus of Bos faurus domesticus Gmelin contained ten trace elements (Na, K, Ca, Mg, Zn, Fe, Cu,P, Cl,S), calculus of B.grunniens L. contained eight trace elements (Na, K, Ca, Fe, Cu,Ce, Cl, S), cultivate calculus of B. grunniens L. contained ten trace elements (Na, K ,Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu, P, Nd, Cl, S).Three species calculus all contained seven trace elements (Na, K, Ca, Fe, Cu, Cl, S), and the differences of their coontent were no significant.
6.Effect of leptin on nerve function in patient with Parkinson disease
Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2015;(8):152-153,157
Objective To investigate effect of leptin on nerve function in patient with Parkinson disease .Methods 68 cases patients with PD were selected and randomly divided into two groups, according to random number table, from October 2013 to December 2014 in the hospital.34 cases in control group were treated with conventional therapy, and 34 cases in experimental group were treated with leptin, with a consecutive treatment of twelve weeks. The score of activity of daily living scale ( ADL ) and mini-mental state examination ( MMSE ) were analyzed pre and post-treatment. ResuIts After treatment, the ADL score of experimental group was significantly lower than that of control group ( P<0.05 ) , MMSE score of experimental group was significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05).The adverse reactions in both groups were minor.ConcIusion Leptin has good curative effect in treatment of Parkinson disease, and could significantly improve the neurological function of patients, with mild adverse reactions.
7.Pathogens in Liver Abscess:A Study of 88 Cases
Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(09):-
OBJECTIVE To analyze the prevalence of pathogens in liver abscess and their resistance.METHODS All specimens of liquor puris were collected from patients with liver abscess by liver puncture in Union hospital,Fujian Medical University from Jan 2002 to Dec 2007.Pathogens were isolated, and followed by antibiotics resistance assay.RESULTS The key pathogens of liver abscess were Gram-negative bacteria. The main Gram-negative bacteria were Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae. The main Gram-positive bacteria were Streptococcus,Enterococcus and Staphylococcus. The resistance of K.pneumoniae was increased in recent years.CONCLUSIONS The bacterial species in the liver abscess are varying in recent six years, the ESBLs are the important factor of the resistance to antibiotics.
8.AEG-1 and cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2011;38(1):9-12
Astrocyte elevated gene (AEG) -1 is cloned as a human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) -1-inducible and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α)-inducible transcript in primary human fetal astrocytes (PHFA) by a rapid subtraction hybridization approach. AEG-1 has been reported to be up-regulated in various types of human cancers. Multivariate analyses indicat that AEG-1 correlates with the ability of growth, invasion, metastasis, angiogenesis and chemoresistance of tumors. AEG-1 over-expression activates the PI3K-Akt,nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) and Wnt-β-catenin signaling pathways in several crucial aspects of tumorprogression. AEG-1 represents a viable potential target for the therapy of human cancers.
9.Liver transplantation for fulminant liver failure
Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery 2008;7(2):86-88
fulminant liver failure(FLF)is a rapid onset life-threatening emerency in which liver dysfunction, liver failure and hepatic encephalopathy occur within 8 weeks in previouslv norillal person. It has been confirmed by available clinical experience and literatures during the past decades that FLF patients are ideal recipients of liver transplantation. However, the prognosis of the FLF patients who accepted liver transplantation differed greatly according to the available reports because of the differences of supportive treatment during waiting period, the criterion for recipient assessment, the determination of operation chance, the use of critical techniques during operation and postoperative management between different transplantation centers. We probe the standardized clinical use of the aspects above mentioned in liver transplantation for FLF,particularly discuss the treatment of complications resulting from coagulopathy, determination of operation chance, significance of standardized etiological treatment and the indication of the use of veno-venous bypass technique during transplantation to provide better treatment strategy and improve the prognosis of FLF patients.
