3.SF-1 gene mutation and gonad development
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(6):631-633
Orphan nuclear receptor steroidogenic factor 1 (SF-1) is a member of the nuclear receptor superfamily. It regulates the expression of multiple genes involved in adrenal and gonadal development, steroidogenesis, and reproductive function. Twenty five different mutations have been described and their clinical features are various. Detection of SF-1 gene may be contribute to the etiological diagnosis for 46, XY disorder of sex development patients.
5.Analysis of TCM syndrome based related index of metabolic syndrome
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2012;34(11):972-975
Objective To probe the relationship on TCM syndromes and related index of metabolic syndrome. Methods 1124 people who receive physical examination were undertaken TCM syndrome differentiation, and five viscera syndromes, the deficiency syndromes, excess syndromes, cold and heat syndromes were found. The relations between TCM syndromes and waist circumference,triglycerides,high-density lipoprotein, blood pressure, fasting blood glucose were studied. Results ①The deficiency syndrome groups and the groups of metabolic syndrome related index by clustering analysis had a higher consistency.②Discriminated analysis demonstrated waist circumference,high-density lipoprotein, and diastolic blood pressure could be used to determine liver syndrome.Blood sugar could be used to determine kidney syndrome.Waist could distinguish blood deficiency syndrome.Blood glucose and systolic blood pressure could distinguish Yin deficiency syndrome.Systolic blood pressure could determine Qi stagnation syndrome.Siastolic blood pressure could determine heat syndrome. The liver syndrome group and the actual liver syndrome group had higher consistency by discriminated analysis. After establishing the discriminated equation, total correct rate of distinguishing were 57.3%,67.1%,63.8%,61.5%,52.4%,47.2%.③Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis showed that blood glucose had diagnostic significance to renal syndrome. The area under the curve was 0.562.Triglycerides,blood glucose, blood pressure had diagnostic significance to Yin deficiency syndrome. The areas under the curve were 0.541,0.556,0.580 and 0.569.Waist circumference,triglycerides,high-density lipoprotein had diagnostic significance to moisture syndrome. The areas under the curve were 0.622,0.609 and 0.605.Diastolic blood pressure had diagnostic significance to heat syndrome. The area under the curve was 0.544.Conclusion By the multifarious analytical methods,we can see that syndromes have more contacts to related index of metabolic syndrome.
6.Analysis of antibiotics utilization in patients of acute upper respiratory infection in a outpatient department
Clinical Medicine of China 2011;27(10):1039-1040
Objective To understand the utilization of antibiotics for acute upper respiratory infection through retrospectively analyzing the prescription in the outpatient department in a whole year, therefore to improve the rational drug using in primary healthy institutions. Methods Prescriptions from the outpatient department,Jan.2010 to Dec.2010 were managed in Excel software and the utilization was analyzed. Results In a total of 6101 prescriptions,2462(40.35% ) were for upper respiratory infection.Of the 2462 prescriptions,1962(79.69% )used antibiotics. The amount of prescriptions and the rate of antibiotics used were significantly higher than those for other infection diseases. Conclusion The investigation shows antibiotics abuse in primary healthy institution has become a severe problem. While the stuff in primary healthy institution are trained for some specific aims, the promotion should be spread to let doctors and patients know the danger of antibiotics abuse.
7.The levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha、IL-6 and adiponectin associated with insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes mellitus
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2011;18(10):1308-1309
Objective To explore the relationships between Serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha TNFα,1L-6,adiponectin and insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes. Methods 80 T2DM patients and 40 healthy controls were recruited.Levels of serum TNF-α,IL-6,adiponectin,plasma glucose, insulin and BMI were measured.Insulin resistance was evaluated by HOMA-IR.Results The levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in T2DM group were significantly higher than that in control group(all P<0.05);The levels of adiponeetin in T2DM group was significantly lower than that in control group(P<0.05).The levels of TNF-α and IL-6 were positively correlated with HOMA-IR(P<0.05),adiponeetin was egatively correlated nwith HOMA-IR(P<0.01).Conclusion TNF-α,IL-6 and adiponectin were closely related with insulin resistance, and should take parts in development of T2DM.
8.The effects of pulsatile perfusion during cardiopulmonary bypass procedures on renal inadequacy
Journal of Chinese Physician 2011;(z1):22-24
Objective To evaluate the clinical effects of pulsatile perfusion on the renal inadequacy during cardiopulmonary bypass ( CPB). Methods From January 2007 to May 2010, 55 patients with renal inadequacy undergoing open heart surgery were randomized into pulsatile group ( n = 28 ) and nonpulsatile group (n =27). Following parameters were examined: urea nitrogen , creatinine, uric acid, urine volume and blood gas, electrolyte and lactic acid before arteriae aorta opening. Results The urine volume during CPB was significant higher in the pulsatile group ( P <0. 01). The blood lactate level before arteriae aorta opening were significant lower in the pulsatile group ( P <0. 01). Conclusion The pulsatile flow is better than nopulsatile flow in oxygen metabolism of renal protection.
