Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Niaodukang-enema liquid on chronic renal failure. Methods: 112 cases were divided into treatment group and control group randomly. The patients of treatment group were given oral Medicinal Charcoal Tablets and Niaodukang-enema liquid(120ml) for enema at high position,56 cases. The patients of contral group were given oral Medicinal Charcoal Tablets only, 56cases. OBJECTIVE To discuss the clinical traits,pathogenesis and TCM stepwise treatments of urinary tract infection(UTI) based on symptom differentiation among elderly patients.METHODS Because of the whole and the partial immune defense function descending,the elderly patients easily suffered from UTI,which was characterized by non-typical symptom,complex and serious condition.In the aspects of the pathogenesis of UTI among elderly patients,the principal aspect of which was the deficiency of the kidney and spleen(weakened body resistance)and the secondary incidental was accumulated damp-heat in the lower warmer(affected pathogenic factor),viz weaken healthy qi and excessive pathogenic factor.Hence during the clinical treatment we should attach importance to regulate entire faculty condition.Considering the acute attack stage and non-acute phase,we will differently inflict therapies of clearing away the heat-evil,dissolving dampness,treating stranguria,hemostasis,and invigorating spleen and kidney assisted by treating stranguria and so on,according to differentiation of symptoms and treatments,in which way we could give attention to both the principal and the secondary aspects of a disease.RESULTS The TCM stepwise therapy of UTI among elderly patients had the characteristics of high efficacy,few side reactions and stable long-term curative effects.CONCLUSIONS The TCM therapy of UTI among elderly patients has more potentiality and predominance,which deserves further study.

OBJECTIVE To discuss the clinical traits and pathogenesis of uremic pneumonia for early diagnosis to avoid misdiagnosis and give effective treatment. METHODS The clinical manifestation,chest X-ray characteristics and treatment in 33 cases of uremic pneumonia patients were retrospectively analyzed. RESULTS In 33 cases of uremic pneumonia patients,27 cases had main respiratory symptoms such as cough,much phlegm and respiratory difficulties. The main signs of chest X-ray were pulmonary hemostasis,pulmonary interstitial edema,pulmonary alveolar edema and pleuritis. In 20 cases of receiving hemodialysis treatment,1 case was dead (5.00%). OBJECTIVE To discuss the characteristics and risk factors of nosocomial infection inpatients with chronic kidney disease.METHODS The data from chronic kidney disease(CKD) patients retrospectively analyzed.RESULTS The nosocomial infection rate of CKD patients was 14.73%,urinary tract was the most comun site,The main-pathogens were Gram-negative bacteria,and then Gram-positive bacteria and fungii.The patients with diabetic nephropathy,lupus nephritis,aging,lower glomerular filtration rate,hypoproteinemia,anemia,and long time duration were easy to get nosocomial infection.CONCLUSIONS Nosocomial infection in CKD patients is related to underlying diseases,age,kidney function,serum albumin level,hemoglobin level,duration time in the hospital.

OBJECTIVE To discuss the clinical traits,pathogenesis and TCM stepwise treatments of fungal urinary tract infection.METHODS According to the risk factors and clinical character of fungal urinary tract infection,we clarified the mechanism of the disease.The principal aspect was spleen-kidney vacuity detriment and the secondary incidental was accumulated damp-heat and static blood in the lower burner,viz weaken healthy qi and excessive pathogenic factor.Hence during the clinical treatment we should regulate faculty condition.In the acute infection period we should give priority to dispel evils supplemented by the recovery of right qi.In the convalescence we should pay more attention to support right supplemented by dispelling.RESULTS The most common pathogen of fungal urinary tract infection was Candida albicans.The TCM stepwise treatments of fungal urinary tract infection together with regulatiy entire faculty condition had the characteristics of high efficacy and few side effects.CONCLUSIONS The TCM stepwise treatments of fungal urinary tract infection has more potentiality which deserves further study.

OBJECTIVE To study the situation of nosocomial infection of maintenance hemodialysis of chronic renal failure patients and discuss the risk factors and preventive measures.METHODS Retrospective analysis of our hospital clinical data in hemodialysis patients with nosocomial infection from Jan 2005 to Dec 2006 was taken.RESULTS There were 44 nosocomial infection cases from 89 cases.The infection rate was 49.43%.Hemodialysis patients were high-risk population of the nosocomial infection.The common infection site was the respiratory tract(52.27%),followed by central venous catheter-related infections(25.00%),urinary tract infections(15.91%) and intestinal infections(6.82%).The primary diseases of diabetic nephropathy,serious anemia,low albumin and elderly were the risk factors(P

OBJECTIVE To investigate the clinical characteristics and prevention of urinary tract infections in chronic renal failure(CRF) patients.METHODS An analysis of pathogens and clinical characteristics of 96 hospitalized patients with CRF complicating urinary tract infections was performed.RESULTS Among CRF patients complicating urinary system infections,the most common pathogens were Escherichia coli(51.03%),Klebsiella pneumoniae(12.50%),Staphylococcus epidermidis(11.46),etc.There were no significant difference between symptom group and non-symptom group.But they were obviously more among senile patients over 60 years old in the asymptomatic group,accounted for 67.50% and significantly higher than that in symptomatic group(39.29%,P
