Objective To investigate the influence of thiopentone, midazolam, etomidate and propofol on the suxamethonium-induced serum potassium increase, muscle fasciculations and myalgia Methods Sixty patients, ASA class Ⅰ-Ⅱ were allocated randomly to receiving intravenous thiopentone 5mg/kg(thiopentone-group), midazolam 0.3mg/kg( midazolam-group), etomidate 0.3mg/kg(etomidate-group)or propofol 2mg/kg(propofol-group) respectively, followed by intravenous suxamethonium and tracheal intubation. Serum potassium concentration was measured before induction and intubation and after intubation. The incidences of muscle fasciculation during induction and postoperative mylgia were observed .Results As compared with that before induction ,the serum potassium levels in thiopentone- and etomidate-group increased significantly by 3.4% and 5.3% respectively after induction (P0.05).The incidences of muscle fasciculation and postoperative myalgia inmidazolam- and propofol -group were significantly lower than in thiopentone- and etomidate -group (P
3.EFFECT OF ANORDRIN AND ITS ANALOGUE ON THE UTERINE ENDOMETRIAL STRUCTURE IN MICE
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1954;0(02):-
In this paper attempt has been made to observe the effect of Anordrin and its analogue SIPPR-113 on the morphological characters of uterine endometrium in mice implantation period and after castration. 100 mice were used in two experiments. The first experiment was performed in mice after mating, it included 5 groups as follows: control, estradial, progesterone, Anordrin and SIPPR-113 groups. The mice were treated with least doses (2-4mg/kg) which can prevent implantation on dayl-2 after mating. The animals were killed on the 5th day of pregnancy. The second, experiment contained also 5 groups: mature female mice were treated with 1/4-1/2 of above doses on the 25-26th day and were killed on the 29th day after castration. The uterine endometrium was embedded with paraffin and Epon812, histological sections and semi-thin sections (1ftm thick) and ultra-thin sections were made. They were observed under light microscope and electron microscope (Hitachi-600). Similar results were obtained in the two series of experiments. The endometrium had grown obviously and the numbers of glands and of cell's mitosis were increased, edema was indicated in stroma, as well as secretory function of glands was prevented period of implantation. Some lysosomes and lipid drops were found in the glandular cells and micro-filaments were observed in stromal cells under electron microscope. The effect of SIPPR-113 were similar to Anordrin, their anti-implantation action may be related to their estrogen and anti-progestrone action. 4.Role of radiotherapy in lymphoma treatment and its updation
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2011;20(10):634-636
Lymphoma is a group of malignancies that affect lymphatic system of the body, and often originates from the abnormal cloned proliferation of B,T or NK cell lineage. It contains mainly two categories:Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL).The treatment options consist of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and radioimmunotherapy,et al.It has been demonstrated that lymphomas are typically radiosensitive tumors and undergo apoptosis readily after radiation therapy(RT).RT produces very high local complete response rate for all lymphoma subtypes. This review will mainly focus on the role of RT in the treatment of aggressive lymphoma, indolent lymphoma, extranodal lymphoma and HL,as well as the application of modem RT techniques.
5.Mesenchymal stem cells for liver cirrhosis: problems and prospects
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;19(19):3102-3106
BACKGROUND:Studies have shown that under certain conditions, mesenchymal stem cels can be induced to differentiate into hepatocytes and promote local angiogenesis to generate new capilary network and build rich colateral circulation for the purpose of improvement and treatment of liver cirrhosis. OBJECTIVE:To review the latest advances in mesenchymal stem cel transplantation for the treatment of liver cirrhosis. METHODS:PubMed, CNKI, Wanfang and VIP databases were searched using keywords of marrow stem cels, hepatic cirrhosis in the title and abstracts for articles addressing mesenchymal stem cel transplantation for liver cirrhosis published from January 2000 to December 2014. Finaly, 53 articles were reviewed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Mesenchymal stem cels have self-replication and multi-directional differentiation potential, and also possess paracrine and immune functions, which are ideal seed cels used for cel replacement therapy. At present, the techniques for isolation, culture, identification andin vitroamplification of mesenchymal stem cels have been quite mature, and animal studies have confirmed that umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cels is safe and effective to treat decompensated cirrhosis, which can fundamentaly treat target organ damage and improve liver function, but there are stil many clinical issues to be resolved.
6.Effect of different polyols on the cryopreservation of mouse embryonic stem cells
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;11(3):576-578
BACKGROUND: The long-term cryopreservation of embryonic stem cells is an important link in its researches and application. Traditional protectants of cryopreservation often contain dimethyl sulfoxide, glycerine, animal serum, etc., but they cannot effectively ensure the survival rate of some cells, and even damage some functions of the cells.OBJECTIVE: To develop the suitable protectant for the cropreservation of mouse embryonic stem cells. DESIGN: An observational study.SETTINGS: Department of Physiology, Conghua College of Guangzhou Medical College; Sinocells Bio Technologies Co.,Ltd.MATERIALS: The experiment was carried out in the laboratory of Sinocells Bio Technologies Co.,Ltd. from October 2004 to September 2005. Mouse cell line mES-1 was given as a present by the Research Room of Cell Biology, Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Academy of Military Medical Sciences of Chinese PLA.METHODS: The cells collected from cultured mES-1, a mouse embryonic stem cell line. Dimethyl sulfoxide was used as the main protectant for cryopreservation. There were four different groups according to different protectants. In the control group, the protectant for cryopreservation contained DMEM (high sugar), 10% dimethyl sulfoxide, 10% FBS,10 mg/mL ascorbicacid, 0.18 mg/mL inositol and 0.44 mg/mL folic acid; Besides, 7.56 mg/mL mannose in the mannose group, 34.23 mg/mL mycose in the mycose and 41.94 mg/mL saccharu in the saccharu group were supplemented respectively. The effects of different polyols on the survival rate and ability of multiple differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cells after cryopreservation were observed.MATN OUTCOME MEASURES: Formation rate of mouse embryonic stem cells colony; Formation rate of embryoid bodies.were all significantly decreased as compared with that before cryopreservation [control group: (24.0±8.8)%; mannose group: (42.0±10.1)%; mycose group: (84.0±8.2)%; saccharu group (70.0±14.2)%; before cryopreservation: (95.0±4.7)%,embryoid bodies in the mycose group was higher than those in the control group and mannose group [(90.0±5.2)%,(80.0±6.9)%, (82.0±9.6)%, P<0.05], but had no significant difference as compared with that in the saccharu group.CONCLUSION: The protectant for cryopreservation by taking mycose as the main component can effectively maintain the abilities of self-renewing and multiple differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cells.
