Objective:To observe therapeutic effect of Fufang Cangzhu Decoction on senile obesity or overweight with impaired glucose tolerance(IGT).Methods:32 cases of senile obesity or overweight with IGT were treated by Fufang Cangzhu Decoction and 32 cases by dimethyldiguanide as controls.Changes of body weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, waist hip circumference ratio(WHR),glucose tolerance, fast serum insulin and blood lipid before and after treatment were compared. Results:After treatment, body weight, waist circumfereince, hip circumference and WHR,glucose tolerance, blood glucose and fast serum insulin ,blood lipids in the Fufang Cangzhu Decoction treatment group decreased significantly(P0.05).Conclusion:Fufang Cangzhu Decoction can obviously decrease body weight, waist circumference, hip circumference and WHR,blood glucose, fast serum insulin, blood lipids in the senile patient of obesity or overweight with abnormal glucose tolerance.

Objective To explore the insulin resistance(IR),serum cortisol.level and circadian secretion rhythm in the patients with pituitary adenoma(PA).Methods Sixty-seven patients with PA in this hospital from October 2016 to April 2017 were selected as the observation group, including 23 cases of pituitary Cushing syndrome,15 cases of growth hormone adenoma,16 cases of prolactinoma and 13 cases of non-functioning adenoma.Contemporaneous 49 individuals undergoing healthy physical examination were selected as the control group. The biochemical indexes of fasting plasma glucose(FPG),fasting insulin(FINS) and serum cortisol were measured and the homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance(HOMA-IR) was determined. The correlation between insulin resistance and serum cortisol was analyzed. Results The incidence rate of cortisol circadian rhythm disorder in the observation group was 58.21%,the level of fasting serum cortisol in abnormal secretion rhythm of PA group was higher than that in normal secretion rhythm of PA group and control group(P<0.05);the levels of FINS and HOMA-IR in the pituitary Cushing syndrome and growth hormone adenoma group were higher than those in the control group, the correlation analysis showed that HOMA-IR in PA patients was positively correlated with fasting serum cortisol level and FINS level(P<0.05).Conclusion The IR occurrence exists in pituitary Cushing syndrome and growth hormone adenoma, which may be closely correlated with serum cortisol increase.

ObjectiveTo compare the regulatory effects of five plant polysaccharides on immune function of cyclophosphamide (CTX)-induced immunosuppressed mice by network Meta-analysis, to provide evidence for the clinical application of polysaccharides and the development of effective polysaccharides and oligosaccharides. MethodSeven databases including PubMed, Embase and Web of Science were searched, and studies that met the inclusion criteria were selected. The methodological quality of the included studies was evaluated using the risk of bias tool of Systematic Review Centre for Laboratory Animal Experimentation (SYRCLE), and the data were analyzed using RStudio and StataSE 17. ResultA total of 62 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were included, involving 1 512 mice and five plant polysaccharides: Astragalus polysaccharide (APS), lentinan (LNT), Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide (GLP), Poria cocos polysaccharide (PCC), and Codonopsis pilosula polysaccharide (CPP). The network Meta-analysis showed that APS ranked first in increasing spleen index (mean deviation (MD)=3.54, 95% confidence interval (CI) [2.10, 5.96]), thymus index (MD=1.98, 95%CI [1.55, 2.54]) and T helper cells (CD4+)/T suppressor cells (CD8+) (MD=1.63, 95%CI [1.13, 2.37]), while CPP ranked first in up-regulating the number of peripheral blood leukocytes (MD=24.16, 95%CI [8.21, 71.12]), macrophage phagocytosis index (MD=2.52, 95%CI [1.32, 4.82]) and immunoglobulin M (IgM) content (MD=1.79, 95%CI [1.12, 2.85]). ConclusionAll the five plant polysaccharides can regulate the immune function of immunosuppressed mice. Among them, APS has advantages in elevating spleen index, thymus index and CD4+/CD8+, while CPP focuses on increasing the number of peripheral blood leukocytes, macrophage phagocytosis index and IgM content. Due to limited number and quality of included studies, the conclusions needs to be further verified with large samples and high-quality studies.
