Objective To investigate the effect of cold pressed Camelina Sativa oil (CPCO) on growth performance and lipid metabolism of hyperlipemia rats. Method The rats were divided into control group (Cont),high fat diet group (HFD),fish oil group (HFD+FO),low dose CPCO group (HFD+LCPCO) and high dose CPCO group (HFD+HCPCO). The latter 4 groups were fed high fat feed. Fo and CPCO were given by gavage. Total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and HDL-C subtype levels in serum were determined at the end of 6w. The distribution of HDL-C particles was studied by agarose gel electrophoresis. Results HFD resulted typical hyperlipemia. Body weight,TC and TG level were significantly decreased, and HDL-C particles tended to be miniaturized and the HDL3 level increased by feeding Camelina Sativa oil as compared with HFD group. TC content in HFD+FO and HFD+HCPCO group was decreased 46.06% and 30.60% respectively. TG content in these two groups was decreased 25.81% and 22.72% respectively as compared with HFD group. Conclusion Chinese Camelina Sativa oil which contained high level of ?-linolenic acid(ALA)could prevent and cure hyperlipidemia by regulating blood lipid metabolism and protecting hepatic function.

Implant-associated infection is a serious problem in the clinical application of biomaterials.which greatly restricts the generalizatjon of cardiovascular biomaterials, while bacterial adhesion is the initial cause for implant-associated infections of cardiovascular biomaterials.Therefore.the prevention of bacteriaI adhesion to the biomaterials plays a crucial role in the cure of biomaterial center infection. It has reported that human plasma protein influences the bacterial adhesion to biomateriais. Some plasma proteins inhibit bacterial adhesion.whereas some promote jt.Study on the correlation between plasma protein and hacterial adhesion to the biomaterials is of great importance in the prevention and cure of biomaterials center infection.

Objective To study the effects of As_2O_3 on tumor model of hepatocarcinoma. Methods HepAgrafed hepatocarcinoma mouse model was established by subcutaneously injection of mouse hepatoma cells(1×10~6)into the oxter of mice. After treated by As_2O_3,the volume change of tumor and tumor inhibition rates were observed. The expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) was detected by immunohistochemical and calculated the difference of MVD.Results The volume of tumor and the tumor inhibition rates were significantly decreased in As_2O_3 group compared with control group(P<0.05).The As_2O_3 could inhibit angiogenesis of xenograft tumor, depress expression of VEGF and decrease microvascular density(MVD).Conclusion As_2O_3 can inhibit the growth of tumor, inhibit the expression of VEGF and decrease MVD.

Objective To investigate the morphological change and SHP -2(src -homology domain contai-ning protein tygosine phosphatase type 2) gene expression in auditory cortical neuron after auditory deprivation in rat .Methods A total of 48 SD rats were randomly divided into 2-week group ,4-week group ,6-week group ,8-week group and 4 corresponding control groups with 6 rats in each group .Bilateral cochlear ablation was done to traumatized groups to ensure their postoperative ABR threshold was above 90 dB SPL .Then paraffin sectioning and HE and Nissl staining were used to detect morphological change of auditory cortical neuron ,simultaneously the RT-PCR was used to measure the expression of SHP -2 gene in auditory cortical neuron of each group ,and relative quantitative analysis was used .Results The HE and Nissl staining revealed that apoptotic shape of auditory cortical neuron became serious by time ,with the diversified cellular morphology .The relative quantity of SHP -2 gene showed statistical differences between any two groups by the method of one -way ANOVA ,showing a rising trend by time (P<0 .05) .Conclusion Along with time ,auditory cortex ,auditory deprivation showed increasing neuronic apoptosis and neuronic proliferation .Apoptosis was the final result from the mutual antagonism by the 2 factors .

Objective To discuss the application of nano-hydroapatic crystals and polyamide composite(n-HA/PA66) for artificial vertebrae in treating thoracic or lumbar vertebrae tumor. Methods A total of 14 cases suffering from thoracic or lumbar vertebrae tumor underwent deuto-total vertebrae resection via anterior approach, then canalis vertebralis was deboosted, artificial vertebrae was implanted and fixed with screw-stick system.Fourteen patients,9 male and 5 female were admitted by our hospital from Dec 2003 to Sep 2005,aged 32 to 68 years old(average 50).The tumor located at T_(11) in 2 cases,T_(12) in 2,L_1 in 5,L_2 in 5.Pathological diagnosis showed 3 cases were of aneurysmal bone cyst,5 of hemangioma,2 of giant cell tumor,3 of metastatic thoracic lumbar vertebra tumor. Results The follow-up lasted 3-18 months, mean 10 months. The rate of bone graft fusion reached 85.7%,with no loosened internal fixation or breakage of screw or stick. No screw breakage or spinal instability occurred during the follow-up.All cases were alive till follow-up finished. Conclusion If the thoracic vertebral tumor compresses spinal cord seriously, the patients should be recommended for surgical treatment.Total vertebrectomy followed by reconstruction could relieve the compression caused by tumor and restore the stabilization of spine effectively.Artificial vertebrae is the ideal substitute material for bone transplantation, for it has good biocompatibility, high security, high rate of bone graft fusion and firm fixation.
