Objective To investigate the expression of caspase-3 in colon carcinoma, colon adenoma and normal colon mucosa and its clinical significance. Methods The expression of caspase-3 was detected with immunohistochemical EnVision in 60 cases of colon carcinoma,30 cases of colon adenoma and 30 cases of normal colon mucosa. Results The positive expression rates of caspase-3 in colon carcinoma, colon adenoma and normal colorn mucosa were 18.3%(11/60),50.0%(15/30),86.7%(26/30).There was significant difference among three groups(P<0.01).The expression of caspase-3 was closely related to Dukes clinical stage, differentiation degree, lymph node metastasis and the degree of infiltration(P<0.01).Conclusion The low expression of caspase-3 may play an important role in the carcinogenesis of colon carcinoma and it is involved in the metastasis and infiltration.

Objective:To evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the Personal and Social Performance scale (PSP-CHN) in patients with schizophrenia. Methods:Totally 165 out-patients and in-patients meeting the DSM-IV-TR criteria for schizophrenia were entered in the study.Ten of subjects was included the intra-rater reliability training. The Global Assessment of Functioning Scale (GAF) was regarded as the' gold standard' to investigate the validity of PSP-CHN,and the Positive and Negative Rating Scale was used to assess the severity of disease to explore the correlative validity,in the other 155 subjects.Five to seven days after the first PSP-CHN interview, the second PSP-CHN was evaluated by another investigator to assess the test-retest reliability among 66 subjects.Twenty-seven subjects with the score of Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) more than 60 were followed up for 8 weeks of standardized pharmacotherapy.By the end of 8 week of treatment, the PANSS and PSP-CHN were assessed again to explore the sensitivity of PSP-CHN.Results:The internal consistency (Cronbach α=0.84) and the inter-rater reliability (κ value=0.56,ICC=0.94 for PSP-CHN total score) were good. The test-retest reliability was high [intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) of 0.95].The scale showed good construct validity with statistically significant correlations with the Global Assessment of Functioning Scale (GAF) (ICC of 0.95).The PSP-CHN score had a good negative correlation with the PANSS total score(r=-0.79,-0.57,-0.63 and -0.71,respectively,P<0.01).After 8 week treatment,PSP-CHN total score was increased with the improvement of PANSS,and the responder showed higher increasing of PSP-CHN total score (21.2) than those partial responder(10.2),significantly.Conclusion:The Chinese version of the PSP-CHN is a convenient and valid instrument to assess the personal and social functions of stabilized and acute patients with schizophrenia.

Chinese Journal of Radiological Medicine and Protection 2020;40(2):156-160
The article briefly described the frequency of CT scans and the development trend of CT exposure doses in children, and introduced the main method and achievements in the cancer risk evaluation of pediatric CT scans in different time periods. This review will provide the references for optimizing the radiation dose of CT scans.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of limited pars plana vitrectomy(LPPV), pressure-controlled phacoemulsification(PCP), intraocular lens implantation(IOL), and posterior capsulotomy (PC) in treatment of nanophthalmic glaucoma eyes which intraocular pressure(IOP) were still out of control after peripheral iridectomy. Methods:All 24 patients(29 eyes) with nanophthalmic glaucoma whose IOP failed to be reduced after peripheral iridectomy and needed LPPV plus PCP plus IOL plus PC were recruited from July 2017 to April 2021. The age of these patients was(44.6±11.0) years old. Preoperative and postoperative IOP, best corrected visual acuity(BCVA), anterior chamber depth(ACD) and number of glaucoma medications were recorded by chart review and compared by using paired t-test or Wilcoxon signed rank-sum test. P<0.05 was considered as statistical significant. IOP could be controlled in normal range(≥5 mmHg and≤21 mmHg), without both of disease progression and serious complications were regarded as the success criteria of the operation. Surgical success rate was evaluated. Surgery-associated complications were recorded. Results:The average follow-up time was(11.52±12.44) months. After the microsurgery, IOP decreased from(33.12±9.25) mmHg to(14.23±3.44) mmHg( P<0.01); The ACD increased from(1.23±0.46) mm to(2.86±0.62) mm, and the median number of glaucoma medications dropped from 3(3,4) to 3(0,3) at final follow-up visit( P<0.05). There were no significant differences in BCVA( P=0.196) and the degrees of angle closure(AC) ( P=0.478) before and after operation. The total surgical success rate was 86.2%(25/29) at the final follow-up visit. Two eyes suffered from local choroidal detachment which recovered within 2 weeks with medical treatment. Conclusion:LPPV plus PCP plus IOL plus PC is a safe and effective novel surgical procedure in the treatment of nanophthalmic glaucoma patients with uncontrolled IOP after peripheral iridectomy. It could significantly decrease IOP, increase the depth of ACD, reduce the number of glaucoma medications and maintain BCVA. It can be considered as a first choice for the surgical management for patients with a such condition.

Objective:To study the healthcare level (HCL) in China and its influencing factors. Methods:By using the data reported in the China statistical yearbook published by the National Bureau of Statistics and in other public literature, HCL was calculated in terms of the number of population and physicians in the whole country and various provinces. Multiple regression was used to analyze the relationship between HCL and regional population, area, number of administrative divisions and gross domestic product (GDP). Pearson correlation analysis was applied to analyze the relationship between healthcare level and medical radiation frequency. Results:Since 2015, Chinese HCL value was lower than 1 000, but there were two provinces with HCL value greater than 1 000 in 2019. Population and GDP were the influencing factors for the HCL, with correlation coefficients of 0.416 and -0.583, respectively. There was a correlation between HCL and medical exposure frequency of Chinese population( r= -0.620, P=0.028). Conclusions:Chinese HCL value was 542 in 2020, but there has been great differences between various provinces. HCL as an indicator of medical exposure assessment needs further research in China.
