ObjectiveTo observe the effects of local mild hypothermia at different time on dopamine (DA) and 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) concentration in rabbits brain basal ganglion with bilirubin encephalopathy. MethodsThe model of bilirubin encephalopathy was established, and treated with mild hypothermia for different time. The DA and 5-HT in the basal ganglion were detected with fluorescence spectrophotometry. ResultsThe DA and the 5-HT decreased in the basal ganglion significantly after modeling (P<0.01), and increased when treated for 6 h, 12 h or 24 h (P<0.01). ConclusionLocal mild hypothermia can significantly reduce the disorder of DA and 5-HT during bilirubin encephalopathy. The longer the hypothermia, the better the effect is.

Objective To investigate the expression of human leucocyte antigen-G (HLA-G) in the endometrium of patients with endometriosis (EM). Methods The expression of HLA-G protein was detected in ovarian endometriosis (OEM) and adenomyosis (AM) using immunohistochemistry method, and the expression of HLA-G mRNA was detected using in situ hybridization technique (ISH), to compare with that in the endometrium of hysteromyoma as the control group. Results The rate of positive HLA-G expression in EM (including AM and OEM) was significantly higher than that in control group (P0.05). The expression of HLA-G protein showed no relation with different clinical phase or different endometrial cycle. Conclusion HLA-G is overexpressed in EM, which may play certain role in the pathogenesis of the disease.

Objective To explore the regulatory effects of thioredoxin on chemosensitivity of gastric cancer cells. Methods RT-PCR was employed to clone the full-length cDNA of thioredoxin (Trx) from human drug-resistant gastric cancer cell line SGC7901/VCR. The sense and antisense eukaryotic expression vectors corresponding Trx were constructed and transduced into gastric cancer cells SGC7901 and SGC7901/VCR by lipofectamine, respectively. MTT assay was used to evaluate the sensitivity of gene-transfected gastric cancer cells and control cells to anti-cancer drugs in vitro. Results The results indicated that SGC7901 cells transfected with Trx sense vector showed significantly decreased sensitivity to vincristine, cisplatin and adriamycin, while SGC7901/VCR transfected with Trx antisense vector showed significantly increased sensitivity to these drugs. Conclusion All these data suggested that Trx might participate in the formation of multidrug resistance of gastric cancer cells and alteration of Trx could regulate chemosensitivity of gastric cancer cells.

Objective To explore the clinical significance of urinary ?1-microglobulin (?1-MG), ?2-micro-globulin (?2-MG), albumin (MA), immunoglobulin G (IGU) and transferritin (TRU), and investigate the correlation between microproteinuria and renal pathological changes in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods According to the presence of nephritis, 47 SLE patients who had renal biopsy were divided into two groups: 30 patients with clinical lupus nephritis (OLN), and 17 patient with silent lupus nephritis (SLN). The urinary ?1-MG, ?2-MG, MA, IGU and TRU were measured in SLE patients and compared with healthy control group. The level of microproteinuria and renal biopsy pathological changes in SLE patients were studied. Results ①The levels of urinary ?1-MG, ?2-MG, MA, IGU and TRU had statistical differences between SLE group and healthy control group, OLN group and SLN group, SLN group and healthy control group respectively. ②The levels of urinary MA、TRU、 IGU were significantly higher in WHO class Ⅳ than in class Ⅱ LN, the level of urinary MA was markedly increased in class Ⅳ than in class Ⅲ LN and ?1-MG was significantly different between class Ⅳ and Ⅴ LN. In classⅤ LN, the urinary MA was obviously increased compared with class Ⅱ LN. Conclusion ①The urinary ?1-MG, ?2-MG, MA, IGU and TRU reflects the severity of renal damage in SLE patients and may be used as sensitive markers for early lupus nephritis. ②The measurement of microproteinuria indicates that the difference in severity of renal damage exists among different WHO classes of LN and urinary MA and ?1-MG may be sensitive indicators.

OBJECTIVE: To develop a method for the determination of levodopa in human plasma and study aarodopa's pharmacokinetics. METHODS: Experiments were performed on Waters 2010 HIPLC system with a 474 fluorecence detector (?EX = 278nm, ?Em = 325nm) and a Lichrospher 100 C18 column. The mobile phase(pH3. 7) was 90% water containing 0.08 mmol/L EDTA, 70mmol/L KH2PO4, 2. 08mmol/L sodium heptanesulfonate and 10% methanal. The flow rate was 1. 0ml/min. The plasma sample was directly injected for determination after being deproteinized with perchloric acid. RESULTS: The linear range was 0. 125-4.0ug/ml,the limitation of detection was 0. 25ug/ml,within- day RSD

AIM: To explore the effect of nuclear factor-?B (NF-?B) on the anti-apoptosis induced by brain ischemia preconditioning (IP). METHODS: Temporary middle cerebral artery occlusion for 20 min followed three days reperfusion before 6 hours middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) trancranially was used as preconditioning in Wistar rats. The protective role was evaluated by analyzing the infarct volume. The status of neuronal apoptosis was observed by TUNEL. The expression of NF?B p65 protein, the assay of SOD activity and MDA concentration were analyzed by using the methods of immunohistochemistry and cytochemistry. RESULTS: Compared to the control group, 20 min ischemic preconditioning, which did not produce neuronal damage obviously, reduced the infarct volume significantly after MCAO 6 h and obviously decreased the number of neural cell apoptosis in penumbra (P
