Objective To observe the effect of extract of Coprinus comatus on small intestinal propulsion and gastric emptying function in mice. Methods Effect of extract of Coprinus comatus at different doses on small intestinal propulsion and gastric emptying function was observed in normal mice,neostigmine-load mice and epinephrine-load mice by charcoal powder method and by modified phenol red method respectively. Results The small intestinal propulsion of normal mice was promoted by the extract of Coprinus comatus at the doses of 3.0,6.0,9.0 and 12.0 g/kg,and the gastric emptying function of normal mice was promoted by the extract of Coprinus comatus at the doses of 1.5,3.0,6.0,9.0 and 12.0 g/kg,the difference being significant as compared with the normal group (P

Objective To investigate the impact of the"micro-monovision"approach with ex-tended depth of focus(EDOF)intraocular lens on visual quality in elderly patients with senile cata-racts.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of elderly patients with senile cataracts treated from January 2020 to December 2023.Forty-six patients who received trifocal intraocular lens were randomly selected and included in trifocal group, while 53 patients who under-went the"micro-monovision"approach with EDOF intraocular lens were included in EDOF group.Preoperative and 3-month postoperative uncorrected distance visual acuity(UCDVA),uncorrected in-termediate visual acuity(UCIVA),uncorrected near visual acuity(UCNVA)and visual function in-dex(VF-14)scores were recorded for both groups.Defocus, contrast sensitivity(CS)and spectacle independence were also evaluated at 3 months postoperatively. Results At 3 months postoperatively, both groups showed significantly higher UCDVA,UCIVA,UCNVA and VF-14 scores compared to preoperative levels;the UCIVA,UCNVA and VF-14 scores in the EDOF group were significantly higher than those in the trifocal group(P<0.05).At 3 months postoperatively, both groups a-chieved visual acuity greater than 0.35 at refractive errors from-4.0 D to+2.0 D.The EDOF group achieved visual acuity greater than 0.9 at refractive errors from-1.5 D to+1.5 D,and greater than 0.8 at refractive errors from-2.5 D to-1.5 D.Within the refractive range of 0.5 D to+2.0 D,the EDOF group had better visual acuity than the trifocal group, with more stable visual acuityin the range of-2.0 D to 1.0 D.Under photopic and mesopic conditions, the EDOF group demonstrated significantly higher CS values at different spatial frequencies(3,6,12,18 degree per week)compared to the trifocal group(P<0.05).Conclusion In elderly patients with senile cat-aracts,the"micro-monovision"approach with EDOF intraocular lens implantation provides superior visual quality andintermediate and near vision compared to trifocal intraocular lens.

Objective:To explore the barriers and facilitators for family members to inform elderly cancer patients of their condition. Methods:From August 2020 to September 2021, a total of family members of 16 elderly cancer patients admitted to the Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University were selected by convenient sampling. Semi-structured qualitative interview was conducted with the patients' family members. Colaizzi 7-step analysis method was used to analyze, sort out and refine the data. Results:A total of 8 themes were extracted. Barriers included integrating the patient's personality and experience to speculate the patient's acceptance, it was predicted that the sadness would be aggravated after being informed according to the current condition, lack of support and communication barriers. Facilitators included conjecture based on the patient's personality and willingness, there was a need to know the condition, maintaining family atmosphere and family culture and reference to relevant external information. Conclusions:There are many barriers and facilitators in the condition notification of elderly cancer patients. Medical and nursing staff and family members should not blindly conceal patients' condition. We should pay attention to patients' expression and respect their wishes, and provide personalized information and care strategies based on their past experience and current situation.

To investigate the related substances of tenofovir, 3 related substances were synthesized. RP-HPLC analytical method was developed using Agilent ZORBAX SB-C18 column. The mobile phase composed of methanol and 0. 02 mol/L potassium dihydrogen phosphate. Linear gradient elution was used and the detection wavelength was 260 nm. 3 impurities were found in tenofovir. The established method was accurate and reproducible, and it can be applied for the related substances test in tenofovir.
