Mammalian gonadotropin-releasing hormone(termed GnRHⅠ) is a decapeptide that plays key role in the process of reproduction.In addition to its well-known endocrine function, it has become evident that GnRHⅠ and the second GnRH subtype(termed GnRHⅡ) are potentially important autocrine and/or paracrine regulators in placental trophoblast cells.The effects of GnRHⅠ and GnRHⅡ on trophoblastic cell invasion were investigated in human choriocarcinoma cell line(JEG-3) by the methods of invasion assay, RNA interference, Western blot and Real-time PCR.The data revealed that exogenous native peptide of these two forms of GnRH significantly induced the expression of typeⅠ GnRH receptor(GnRHRⅠ) in JEG-3 cells.The specific siRNA for GnRHR Ⅰ was capable of blocking the invasion-promoting effect of GnRHⅠ, but did not influence the effect of GnRHⅡ.The data suggested that the two hormones may be elicited by distinct receptors.Interference of the activities of ERK and JNK was capable of attenuating GnRH Ⅰ and Ⅱ-induced MMP-2 expression and trophoblast invasion, indicating that activation of ERK and JNK are required in both GnRH Ⅰ and GnRH Ⅱ-mediated MMP-2 production and invasion-promoting effect in human trophoblastic cells.

AIM: To explore protective and therapeutic effects of the shenfu injection (SF) against renal ischemia reperfusionand and its possible mechanisms by studying the impact of SF on P38 mitogen activated protein kinase (P38MAPK), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-?) and intercellular adhensive molecule-1 (ICAM-1). METHODS: 36 male SD rats were randomly divided into control group, ischemia reperfusion (IR) group and SF group. Rats were subjected to left renal pedicle occlusion followed by reperfusion with contralateral nephrectomy. The expression of P38MAPK and ICAM-1 were evaluated by Imunohistochemistry. The expression of TNF-? in the kidney tissue and plasma were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunoadsordent assay (ELISA). Objectives To investigate the changes and signiifcance of serum tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and anti-ds-DNA antibody in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and lupus nephritis (LN) in children. Methods Sixty-seven children with SLE among whom 52 children had LN were selected and 30 healthy children were selected as normal controls. The level of serum TNF-αwas measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and the anti-ds-DNA antibody level was measured by radioimmunoassay. Results The serum levels of TNF-αand anti-ds-DNA antibody were signiifcantly higher in children with SLE or LN than those in healthy controls (P all<0.01). Furthermore, the serum levels of TNF-αand anti-ds-DNA antibody were signiifcantly higher in active phase than in stationary phase of SLE and LN (P all<0.01). The serum TNF-αlevel was positively correlated with SLE disease activity index score and serum anti-ds-DNA level in 67 SLE patients (P<0.05). Conclu-sions The serum levels of TNF-αand anti-ds-DNA antibody were increased in children with SLE and LN and were positively correlated with disease activity.

Objectives　To evaluate the reliability and validity of SF-36 in old people in community. Methods　 378 old people in community were investigated by SF-36 by face-to-face interview, and the score of items was analyzed.Reliability and validity of SF-36 were evaluated by item-internal consistency,item discriminant vadility,Cronbach's alpha coefficient, et al. Results　The clustering and ordering of the item means of SF-36 were the same as that hypothesized, except for items PF2,PF10,RP3,GH4. The correlation between an item and its hypothesized scale was 0.4 or above for all items. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient were above the standard of 0.7 for all except SF scale. Conclusions　SF-36 Health Survey Questionnaire is available for the elderly people. The present evaluation proposes some minor word and item changes which is more suitable for old people.

砄bjective:To investigate the consistency of Streptococcus mutans and Streptococcus sobrinus isolates identified by colony morphology,biochemical tests and DNA base content analysis.Methods:46 clinical isolates (30 of S.mutans and 16 of S.sobrinus ) were identified by colony morphology,biochemical tests and determination of DNA base contents with reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography. S.mutans Ingbritt and S.sobrinus 6715 were used as the controls. Results:The DNA contents (G+C mol%) of S.mutans and S.sobrinus clinical isolates, identified by colony morphdogy and biochemical test, were 37.52 and 45.19 respectively,consistent with the expected 36～38 and 44～46 mol percent of G+C.Conclusion: S.mutans and S.sobrinus isolates,identified by colony morphology and biochemical tests ,were consistent with the DNA G+C content analysis. S.mutans and S.sobrinus can be easily and reliably identified by colony morphology and biochemical tests.

Objective To study on antibacterial effect of active ingredient of se-enriched Macleya cordata.Methods Penicillin sodium and saline as control, detected the average inhibition zone diameter of se-enriched Macleya cordata group ( containing 0.96 mg/mL sanguinarine) on 9 common bacteria with disc agar diffusion method;20% methanol and saline as control, se-enriched Macleya cordata group which the average inhibition zone diameter was minimum, without se-enriched Macleya cordata group and penicillin sodium were diluted with 20% methanol, made concentration of 0.48, 0.24,0.12,0.06, 0.03 mg/mL.minimal inhibitory concentration ( MIC) of each treatment group was determined by agar dilution method, evaluated antibacterial effect of se-enriched Macleaya cordata group.Results se-enriched Macleya cordata group could improve antibacterial effect significantly, the average inhibition zone of 100 μg/mL sodium selenite treatment group was minimum(Φ15.33 mm);MIC of se-enriched Macleya cordata group on E.coli O1 , E.coli P22 , E.Dublin reduced from 0.96 to 0.24 mg/mL;MIC of S.typhimurium and S.suipare were 0.12 mg/mL;MIC of S.aureus and S.suis were 0.06 mg/mL; MIC of E.Dublin and L.murrayi were less than 0.03 mg/mL.Conclusion Se-enriched Macleya cordata improves the antibacterial effect signififcantly, and it lays the theoretical foundation for development and utilization of se-enriched Macleya cordata for future.

Objective To compare the curative effect and complication of traditional open thyroid operation and minimally invasive laryngeal endoscopic thyroid operation.Methods 80 cases with thyroid disease were randomly divided into group I and groupⅡof 40 cases in each group,the group Ⅰ received the minimally invasive laryngeal endoscopic thyroid operation, while the Ⅱ group was treated with traditional open thyroid operation.The operation time,intraoperative amount of bleeding,postoperative drainage,hospitalization time and complications of two groups were compared.Results The operation time,hospitalization time of groupⅠwere (63.1 ±0.2)min,(5.7 ±0.6)d, which were significantly shorter than those of the control group[(90.4 ±1.1) min,(8.4 ±0.2) d].Amount of bleeding,postoperative drainage volume after operation in groupⅠwere (19.2 ±0.9) mL,(30.4 ±2.6) mL,which were significantly less than those of the control group[(42.1 ±1.8)mL,(46.2 ±1.2)mL] (t=9.819,12.168, 11.182,9.928,all P <0.05);The incidence of postoperative complications of group Ⅰ was 2.5%,lower than 15.0%of groupⅡ,the difference was statistically significant between the two groups(χ2 =13.197,P <0.05). Conclusion Minimally invasive laryngeal endoscopic thyroid operation has advantages in little trauma,short opera-tion time,rapid postoperative recovery.
