International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2015;(4):442-443
Objective To investigate the prevalence of thalassemia gene carried by child-bearing age people in Meizhou area. Methods Use regular blood tests and hemoglobin electrophoresis to screen the suspect thalassemia patients in couples of child-bearing age who underwent premarital examination or pregnancy check in the hospital.Samples with positive results were tested by using hybridization reverse dot blot to make a definite diagnosis of thalassemia. Results 208 samples were screened to be positive, among which there were 64 cases ofα-thalassemia carrier(30.67%),32 cases ofβ-thalassemia carrier(15.38%),3 case of combina-tion thalassanemia(1.92%).Conclusion The study may provide a reference for taking effective measures to prevent the birth of children with thalassemia.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2003;0(03):-
The operation of the culture and quality education is one of the best effective forms to execute education of various cultures and self-quality to our university students right in the classroom . But in the practical teaching work ,there is a series of questions such as the lower curricular quality , utilitarianism in teaching and studying , loose management and so on .The existing questions are analyzed and the appropriate measures are put forward in this paper.
3.Post-stroke urinary incontinence
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2014;22(8):637-640
Urinary incontinence is a common complication of stroke,40% to 60% of inpatients with stroke have urinary incontinence.Post-stroke urinary incontinence is a strong predictor of death, functional disability, and admission of rehabilitation institutions.Recovery of urinary incontinence is associated with a better stroke outcome. This article reviews the epidemiology, causes and classification, effects on stroke outcome, and treatment strategies of post-stroke urinary incontinence.

Unusual dTDP-sugars are key intermediate in many pathogenic bacteria. In this study, negative-ion electrospray tandem mass spectrometry (ESI-MS-MS) with collision-induced dissociation (CID) was used to study the fragmentation characteristics of six unusual nucleotide diphosphate sugars. The results indicated the major fragment of the six unusual nucleoside sugars observed in the ESI-MS-MS spectra resulted from cleavage of diphosphate moiety and their characteristic fragment ions at m/z 401, 383, and 321, correspond to [TDP-H] together with fragment ions resulting from the loss of water and phosphate moiety, respectively. Furthermore, 4-position substituted change of unusual sugar rings affected the stability of two important characteristic fragment ions of [glycosyl-1"-PO3](-) and [glycosyl-1"-P2O6](-).

Cancer Research and Clinic 2010;22(1):38-40
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of thalidomide combined with NP regimen in treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and to analyse the change of VEGF and bFGF in peripheral blood in patients with advanced NSCLC. Methods 57 patients with advanced NSCLC were divided randomly into NP plus thalidomide treatment group and NP contrast group, and VEGF and bFGF were measured by ELISA. Results The response rate was 44.4 % in trial group and 23.8% in control group (P>0.05). The clinical benefit rate were 77.8% in trial group and 42.9% in control group (P>0.05). The median TIP was 5.1 months and 3.0 months for trial group and control group respectively(P=0.05). Patients in benefit in trial group had a remarkable decrease in the number of VEGF (P<0.05) while patients in benefit in control group had a little decrease in the number of VEGF (P>0.05). Patients out of benefit in trial group and control group had a increase in the number of VEGF (P<0.05). Patients in benefit in trial group and control group had a tendency of decrease in the number of bFGF (P>0.05) while patients out of benefit in trial group and control group had a remarkable increase in the number of bFGF(P<0.05). Conclusion The addition of thalidomide to NP regimen results in significantly and clinically meaningful improvement in response rate, median time to tumor progression, and clinical benefit rate compared with NP alone in advanced NSCLC patients.Thalidomide in combination with chemotherapy shows a favorable toxic profile in advanced cancer patients.VEGF and bFGF can be detected in patients with advanced NSCLC.

Objective: To study the influence of the Ewi-anticarcinogen Prescription on associated gene protein in process of rat hepatocarcinoma induced by diethylnitrosamine (DEN). Methods: Rats hepatocarcinoma model was induced by DEN, while the Eqi-anticarcinogen Prescription was used during the stage. At the end of 12th week and 16th week, the influence of the Eqi-anticarcinogen Prescription on positive expression of PCNA and p53 protein were examined by immuneohistochemical method. Results: The positive expression of p53 protein was occurred in precancerous hyperp lastic nodules; The Eqi-anticarcinogen Prescription can significantly inhibit the overexpression of p53 (P

Objective To investigate the management of prevention and control of catheter-related bloodstream in-fection (CRBSI)in intensive care units (ICUs)of tertiary hospitals in a city, and explore stategies. Methods Data about CRBSI prevention and control as well as quality management were collected and surveyed by self-developed questionnaires. Results Of ICUs in 8 hospitals, the incidence of CRBSI was 4.81 ‰,case infection rate was 5.02‰.6 (75.00%)hospitals had standard operating instruction for the prevention and control of CRBSI, 2 (25.00%)hospitals had maintenance record on central venous catheter, and 2(25.00%)hospitals implemented maximum sterile barrier and catheterization combination strategy, none hospital adopted anti-infective dressing and chlorhexidine bathing. Conclusion There are many problems in the standard operating instruction and implementa-tion of measures for the prevention and control of CRBSI in ICUs of tertiary hospitals in this city, which needs to be improved.
