The clinical and pathological data of eight cases of nasal solitary keratoacanthoma were analyzed and relevant literatures were reviewed. All of the cases were verified via pathological examination after local lesion excision, along with reconstruction of tissue defects in external nose. The patients were all primary healed. With a follow up from 8 months up to 7 years, only one case relapsed one year after first surgery, and given another operation, no recurrence happened thereafter. The other seven cases did not recur so far. The nasal solitary keratoacanthoma is a squamous tumor with potential malignancy, which manifests similarly with squamous cell carcinoma, and the correct diagnosis requires comprehensive judgment from both the clinical and histopathological characteristics. The disease shows favorable prognosis and low recurrence rate.

Chinese Journal of Neurology 1999;0(06):-
Objective To explore the relationship between the overexpression of P glycoprotein (P GP) multidrug resistance (MDR) gene in the epileptic patient's peripheral blood lymphocytes and the drug resistance of the intractable epilepsy Methods This is a prospective, observational study. First, the overexpression of P GP MDR in 85 epileptic patients' (M 39, F46,overage age 24 years) peripheral blood lymphocytes were investigated by using immunocytochemistry (ICT) or flow cytometer (FCE). Then, patients were given a single or a combining of two antiepilepstic drugs which they did not received before (including carbamazepine, valproic acid, phenobarbitone, phenytoin), when the single drug was not effective in observing the clinical efficacy Results In FCE study group, results showed that the 11 patients with overexpression of P GP MDR in the epileptic patient's peripheral blood lymphocytes became tolerant to antiepileptic drugs. Eighteen out of 32 patients without overexpression of P GP MDR are effective. In the ICT study group, it is effective that there are only 2 out of the 22 patients with overexpression of P GP MDR. Seven of 12 patients without overexpression of P GP MDR are effective Conclusion It is suggested that the overexpression of MDR in the intractable epileptic patient's peripheral blood lymphocytes might be a significant drug resistance marker. The sensibility of ICT method should be better than the FCE,though the latter may be more accurate.

Objective To observe the effects of neuromuscular activation (Neurac) training on balance and walking in children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy. Methods 30 children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy from March to October, 2015 were divided into observation group (n=15) and control group (n=15). Both groups received routine rehabilitation, while the observation group received 30-minute Neurac training in addition, 5 times a week, for 3 months. They were assessed with D and E domains of Gross Motor Function Measure 88 (GM-FM-88), balance of Fugl-Meyer Assessment and footprints analysis before and after treatment. Results The scores of D and E domains of GMFM-88 and balance of Fugl-Meyer Assessment, and the step length, step width and velocity improved in both groups after training (t>7.31, P<0.001), especially in the observation group (t>2.08, P<0.05). Conclusion Neuroac training can further promote the recovery of gross motor function, balance and walking in children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy.

Objective:The study is to investigate whether macrophage migration inhibitory factor(MIF)-173 single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) correlates with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) in Chinese Han population in Zhejiang Province.Methods:MIF-173 SNP alleles were typed using tetra- primer amplification refractory mutation system(ARMS) and restriction fragment length polymorphisms(RFLP)-PCR in 142 healthy subjects and 98 patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),respectively. At the same time, the PCR products were cloned and sequenced. Results:We detected three kinds of genotypes at the MIF-173 locus,no deviation from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium were observed. The result was the same from tetra-primer ARMS and RFLP-PCR.Statistical analysis showed, the frequency of MIF-173 CC genotype was significantly higher in patients with ulcerative colitis(UC) 15.5% than in healthy individuals 5.6%(P

OBJECTIVE To investigate the use of antibiotics in our Outpatient Department during 2006-2007,and to analyze and evaluate the trend and rationality.METHODS The data about consumption quantity and consumption sum of antibiotics in our Outpatient Department during 2006-2007 were retrieved by means of computer management software in the department of pharmacy for the analysis of the clinical use of antibiotics using the method of defined daily dose(DDD).RESULTS Fluoro quinolones, cephalosporins and plant antibiotics have dominated the first places among the antibiotics used in our hospital, and the consumption of cephalosporins kept increasing year by year.CONCLUSIONS The use of antibiotics in our hospital should be further standardized to ensure the drug using safe, efficient and economic in our hospital.

OBJECTIVE To promote clinical rational use of antibiotic prophylaxis through surveying it in Obstetrics and Gynecology Department (OG) by pharmacists. METHODS Data of 223 cases using of antibiotic prophylaxis in OG were retrospectively analyzed. According to unreasonable use of antibiotic prophylaxis, the clinical pharmacists put out reasonable measures and directed treatment in succedent 206 patients. RESULTS The rate of unreasonable use of antibiotic prophylaxis in 223 cases was 100% and rate of infection after operation was 9.87%. After giving intervention, the rate of unreasonable use of antibiotic prophylaxis and infection were reduced to 3.88% and 1.46%,respectively (P

AIM: To explore the immunomodulatory effect of paecilomyces cicadidae polysaccharides (PCPS).METHODS: Subcutaneous injection with 50, l00, 200 mg/kg of PCPS were given in the back of the rats everyday for l5 days. The number of white blood cells (WBC) was counted. The activities of acid phosphatase (ACP) and lactase dehydrogenase (LDH)in liver, kidney, spleen and thymus were detected by automatic biochemistry analyzer. The ability of devouring neutral red and activity of ACP, LDH, arginase in alveolar macrophages were also detected. The body weight of the rat everyday during experiment and weight of the spleen and thymus after the rats were killed were measured and wet weight index was calculated.RESULTS: The wet weight index of spleen and thymus, the activity of ACP, LDH, arginase and ability of devouring neutral red in alveolar macrophages in the test group treated with PCPS were significantly higher than those in control group. CONCLUSION: PCPS shows a significant immunomodulatory effect with the increasing counts of WBC and activation of alveolar macrophages in a dose-dependent manner.

AIM: To study the immune regulation of paecilomyces cicadidae total polysaccharides. METHODS: After subcutaneous injection with 200 mg/L paecilomyces cicadidae total polysaccharides in the back of the rats for 17 days, the white blood cell (WBC) counts, and the levels of lipid peroxide (LPO) and reduced glutathione (GSH) in the spleen and thymus of rats were detected. The alveolar macrophages (AM?) cultured with 10% fetal bovine serum-RPMI-1640 for 2 h in vitro , then the activity of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and acid phosphatase (ACP) were detected by automatic biochemistry analyzer, and the ability devouring neutral red in the AM? were examined. RESULTS: Compared with control group, the WBC, the levels of GSH in the spleen and thymus, and the activities of LDH and ACP were significantly increased and the ability of devouring neutral red was also strengthened( P
