Interferon-γ-inducible protein 10 (IP-10),also known as chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 10(CXCL10),belongs to the CXC subfamily.IP-10 exerts its function by binding to chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 3 or Toll-like receptor 4.IP-10 plays an important role in the occurrence and development of autoimmune diseases.The expression of IP-10 in blood and body fluid is closely associated with the activity of autoimmune disease.IP-10 is expected to become a potential new marker and possess a significant application value in early screening,condition monitoring and therapeutic evaluation of autoimmune diseases.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the determination of related substances in Levo-cetirizine hydrochloride chewable tablet. METHODS:RP-HPLC was performed on the column of Venusil XBP-CN with mobile phase of acetonitrile-0.05 mol/L Sodium dihydrogen phosphate solution(pH value adjusted to 3.0 by phosphoric acid)(60∶40,V/V)at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min, the detection wavelength was 230 nm,column temperature was 25 ℃,and volume injection was 20 μl. RESULTS:Levo-cetirizine hydrochloride chewable tablet showed good separation with related substances;the linear range of levo-cetirizine hydrochloride was 1.2-2.8 μg/ml(r=0.999 9);the quantification limit and detection limit was 1.4 ng/ml and 0.3 ng/ml,respectively;RSDs of preci-sion,stability and reproducibility tests were lower than 1%;recovery was 96.3%-105.0%(RSD=1.7%,n=9);the contents of re-lated substances were no more than 0.17%. CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple,sensitive,reproducible,accurate and reli-able,and can be used for the determination of related substances in Levo-cetirizine hydrochloride chewable tablet.

It has long been acknowledged that there is a link between inflammation and cancer, but its molecular mechanism remains unclear. A key player in inflammation is nuclear transcription factor NF-?B, that activity is triggered in response to infectious agents and proinflammatory cytokines via the I?B kinase. In parenchyma cells, inflammation through I?B kinase/NF-?B pathway suppresses apoptosis, accelerates cell cycle, then promote tumorigenesis. In mesenchyma cells inflammation through I?B kinase/NF-?B pathway produces cytokines and chemokines that may serve as tumor growth factors. To sum up, I?B kinase/NF -?B pathway represents a critical molecular link between inflammation and cancer.

Objective To acknowledge the spouse comorbid conditions of diabetes patients by comparing the average blood sugar level of the spouse of the diabetes patients with normal Guangzhou residents.Methods To sift and analyze the spouse test results of 152 hospitalized diabetes patients from January 2012 to January 2013,by testing the blood sugar level of the experimental subjects,comparing the different blood sugar level results between when they were with empty stomach and 2 hours after oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT).Results There were 32 cases with diabetes,9 cases with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) and 11 cases with impaired fasting glucose (IFG) in the above 152 experimental subjects.The morbidity rates were 21.05％,5.92％ and 7.24％.All the above results were higher than the Guangzhou residents survey level,there were statistical differences between them.Conclusions The high morbidity rates of diabetes and impaired glucose regulation in diabetes patients spouse are obvious.The works for diabetes sifting and analyzing together with the health education instruction need to be strengthened.

Adjuvant treatment, which includes chemotherapy and endocrine therapy, for early breast cancer may impair bone den-sity, resulting in bone loss. The third generation bisphosphonate-zoledronic is an anti-resorptive agent that inhibits osteoclast-mediated bone resorption. This drug can be mainly used in the treatment of hypercalcemia caused by bone metastases of the cancer. The Zome-ta-Femara Adjuvant Synergy Trial revealed that immediate zoledronic acid and endocrine therapy not only prevents bone loss, but also reduces recurrence. The Austrian Breast and Colorectal Cancer Study Group-12 (ABCSG-12) also confirmed that zoledronic acid, when combined with endocrine therapy, could reduce the risk of cancer disease progression and death. Moreover, preclinical studies and clini-cal trials have demonstrated the synergistic antitumor effects of chemotherapy and zoledronic acid. Neo-adjuvant zoledronic acid to re-duce recurrence trials showed that the addition of zoledronic acid to adjuvant chemotherapy significantly reduced the risk of disease pro-gression and death in postmenopausal women more than five years postmenopause at the beginning of the study or over 60 years of age at the baseline. The ABCSG-12 subgroup analysis based on age (≤40 years or>40 years) also showed that zoledronic acid can signifi-cantly improve the prognosis in women who were over 40 years at the study entry. These results suggest that zoledronic acid administra-tion in patients with lowered estrogen levels (naturally or as a consequence of adjuvant treatment) easily exerts anti-tumor effects. How-ever, the optimal dose and duration of zoledronic acid requires further studies. More clinical trials should be performed to provide suffi-cient evidence to support the effectiveness of zoledronic acid in the treatment of early breast cancer.

Trastuzumab is a specific inhibitor against human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER-2). Trastuzumab is widely used in the neo-adjuvant treatment of HER-2 breast cancer. Large-scale randomized and controlled clinical trials have demonstrated that pathologic complete response rates (pCRs) were significantly increased with neo-adjuvant trastuzumab therapy plus chemotherapy than with regular chemotherapy. The use of trastuzumab plus chemotherapy with lapatinib supplements could further improve pCR rates. An-thracycline and non-anthracycline drugs could both be used concurrently with trastuzumab. Endocrine therapy could be used as an alter-native for estrogen receptor-positive patients. pCR is a powerful predictor of long-term outcomes in HER-2 positive patients under neo-adjuvant therapy with trastuzumab. However, patient loss of HER-2 expression with residual disease after neo-adjuvant therapy with trastuzumab is a poor prognostic factor. This study paper will provide a review of related research.

Aim To examine the role of antioxidant effect of subhypotensive dose of ACE inhibitor ramipril in its anti hypertrophic effect in rat myocardium. METHODS Model of hypertension induced myocardial hypertrophy of rat was reproduced by coarctation of abdominal aorta. The effects of nitric oxide (NO) synthase inhibitor N L arginine (6 mg?kg -1 ?d -1 ) and Vitamin E(200 U?d -1 ) on cardiac hypertrophy were examined. The change of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and NO production (assayed as NO 2 -) were monitored. RESULTS The myocardial hypertrophy was effectively prevented under hypertensive condition after treatment with ramipril for 8 week, while SOD activity and NO 2 - content were significantly increased and lipid peroxidation was significantly attenuated. Vitamin E enhanced ramipril effect and N L arginine reversed its benficail effects. CONCLUSION These data showed that sub hypotensive dose of ramipril and in combination with vitamin E enhances myocardial antioxidative capability and NO release, which plays an important role in the mechanism of action involved in their antihypertensive cardiac hypertrophic effects.

Objective To explore the clinical features and prognostic factors of breast cancer during pregnancy and lactation.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 77 patients admitted to the Tianjin Cancer Hospital from January 2002 to December 2012.According to when the cancer was found,these patients were divided into the pregnancy group (n =23) and the lactation group (n =54).Survival rate was calculated by life table,Multivariate factors for survival were analyzed by COX proportional hazards regression model.Results The mean maximum diameter of the tumor was 5.9 cm,49 cases had axillary lymph node metastasis.Compared with the lactation group,the patients in pregnancy group had larger tumor diameter,the mean diameter was 6.8 cm (P =0.031).The median follow-up time was 39 months and 5-year disease-free survival (DFS) rate and 5-year overall survival (OS) rate were 52.6％ and 61.8％,respectively.Multivariate analysis showed that the independent factors of DFS and OS were breastfeeding and tumor size.Conclusions Diagnosis of breast cancer daring pregnancy and lactation were usually delayed and often in late TNM stage.Breastfeeding and tumor size are independent prognostic factors.

AIM: To explore the effect of oxides of low density lipoprotein (OX - LDL)on apoptosis in vas- cular endothelial cells(EC) and its possible mechanisms. METHODS: Culted vascular ECS were incubated with OX - LDL(0.1?g/L or 0. 3?g/L) for 4 hours, flow cytometer with PI staining methed was used to determine the rate of cellular apoptosis, gel - electrophoresis was performed to observe foe DNA ladder of apoptosis, cellular RNA was isolated and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT - PCR)was performed to determine Fas antigen ex- pression. RESULTS:OX - LDL treatment induced apoptosis in EC dose - dependently. No DNA ladder was ob- served in control EC. But it presented in EC beated with low dose of OX - LDL, and was even more when beted with higher dose of OX - LDL. RT - PCR revealed Fas antigen baldly had any expression in basic condition, OX - LDL treatment induced Fas antigen in EC in a dose dependent manner. CONCLUSION: OX - LDL can induce apoptosis in EC, upregulaton of Fas antigen expression maybe one of the possible mechanisms.

Objective To explore the methods and the nursing points during the course of using methotrexate to cure moderate and severe psoriasis.Methods 41 moderate and severe patients with psoriasis have been adopted in this study.The procedure of nursing care included medical education,clinical care and psychological nursing in order to increase the compliance of patients.Results All the patients have accepted the therapy of using methotrexate to cure psoriasis,the effective rate was 80.5%,only one case have withdrawed from the study because of leucopenia.The compliance of patients have increased significantly.Conclusion Using methotrexate to cure psoriasis is effective and safe,which can increase the compliance and the confidence of patients.
