Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(03):-
A large number of natural acetogenins have been isolated from se veral genera of the plant family Annonaceae. Many of these compounds have very p otent and diverse biological effects such as cytotoxic, antitumour, anti-malari al, pesticidal and anti-feedant activities. This paper reviews research finding s about the effects of annonaceous acetogenins on antitumor, MDR, mechanism of ac tion, structural-activity relationships etc.
3.Effect of chemotherapy drug on protein expression of pancreas cancer cell lines SW-1990
Chinese Journal of Digestion 2001;0(03):-
Objectives To verify if chemotherapy drug gemcitabine could induce a change of protein expression in pancreatic cancer cell line SW-1990, and to provide evidence for clinical therapy. Methods We use two-dimensional gel eleclrophoresis(2-DE), mass speclrornetry and bio-information methods to compare the change of protein expression before and after gemcitabine and 5-FU treatment of cell line SW-1990, and identify the discrepant protein expression. Results The concentration of gemcitabine, that can suppress 50 percent of the pancreatic cancer cells was 1-100 ng/ml, while same suppression for 5-FU was 250-2500 ng/ml. Six discrepant protein expressions, one in 5-FU group and 5 in gemcitabine group were found. Conclusions Gemcitabine has better therapeutic effects on the growth of pancreatic cancer cell line SW-1990 than that of 5-FU. Gemcilabine was involved in sugar and fat metabolism, and it could induce some changes of protein expression, for example ?-actin and MGC: 19713, which is of somewhat importance for clinical investigation of pancreatic cancer therapy.

5.CHANGES OF ? ADRENERGIC RECEPTORS AND ANGIOTENSIN Ⅱ RECEPTORS IN SPONTANEOUSLY HYPERTENSIVE RATS AND DIFFERENT AGES WKY RAT HEARTS
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1981;0(06):-
To study the changes of ? adrenergic receptor subtypes (? 1 AR,? 2 AR) and angiotensin Ⅱreceptor subtypes (AT 1 R,AT 2 R)mRNA levels in spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHR) hearts at 14 weeks of age, and WKY rat hearts at ages 14 and 48 weeks, the total cellular RNA was extracted from the left ventricular tissue, and reverse polymerase chain reaction analysis was performed for measurement of the four receptors. The expression levels of ? 1 AR mRNA and ? 2 AR mRNA were down regulated in WKY hearts at age 48 weeks and in 14 week SHR. AT 1 R mRNA levels were decreased in 48 week WKY and 14 SHR, and AT 2 R mRNA levels were significantly increased in SHR. The expression levels of ? 1 AR and AT 1 R mRNA were declined following the increase of ages. The levels of ? 2 AR mRNA were down regulated in hypertension and myocardial hypertrophy conditions first because ? 2 AR was more sensitive to myocardial hypertrophy than ? 1 AR. Long term and hyper AngⅡ levels stimulated AT 1 R mRNA down regulation in SHR, and it is the myocardial hypertrophic compensatory process that increases the AT 2 R mRNA levels.
6.Changes in mRNA levels of cardiac α1-adrenergic receptor and angiotensin Ⅱ receptor subtypes with aging in rats
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2008;27(9):697-701
Objective To examine the expression levels of α1-adrenergie receptor(α1-AR)and angiotensinⅡ reeeptor(ATR)subtypes in left ventricle of rats from adolescent age, middle age, presenium to senium. Methods Semiquantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to quantitate the messenger RNA (mRNA) of α1-AR and ATR subtypes in left ventricle in Wistar rats aged 3-months (adolescent age), 12-months (middle age), 18-months (presenium) and 24-months (senium). Results The expression of α1A-AR mRNA was decreased gradually with aging, and the gene expression of α1 D-AR was repressed in middle age and presenium, while the expression of a,B-AR mRNA remained unchanged during senescence. Cardiac AT1R expression was not affected by aging from adolescent age to presenium, but exhibited a remarkable up-regulation in senium There was no significant discrepancies of cardiac AT2R expression among the four different age groups. Conclusions The results suggest that there are considerable changes in mRNA levels of cardiac α1-AR and ATR subtypes with aging. The change of cardiac α1-AR and ATR expression during aging is a protective response for senescence and has an important significance in maintaining normal physiological functions of heart.
7.Therapeutic Observation of Electroacupuncture plus Topical Laser Treatment for Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2015;(4):348-350
ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy ofelectroacupunctureplustopical laser treatmentin treating hyperplasia of mammary glands.MethodFifty-eight patients with hyperplasia of mammary glands were randomized into a treatment group of 30 cases and a control group of 28 cases. The treatment group was intervened byelectroacupunctureplustopical laser treatment, while the controlgroup was by oral administration of Ru Zeng Ning tablets. The intervention began from 15 d prior to the menstrual period. After 3 successive treatment courses, the clinical efficacies were compared, and the efficacies in treating three different patterns of mammary glands hyperplasia were also compared, i.e. qi-stagnation due to liver depression, accumulation of phlegm and stagnation, and imbalance of the Thoroughfare and Conception Vessels.ResultAccording to the comprehensive efficacy evaluation, the total effective rate was 86.7% in the treatment group versus 57.1% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The efficacy of the treatment group in treating the pattern of qi-stagnation due to liver depression was significantly higher than that in of the control group (P<0.05); there were no significant differences in comparing the efficacies in treating the types of accumulation of phlegm and stagnation and imbalance of the Thoroughfare and Conception Vessels between the two groups (P>0.05).ConclusionElectroacupunctureplustopical laser treatmentis effective in treating hyperplasia of mammary glands, especially for the type of qi-stagnation due to liver depression.
8.Progress in the reprogramming of induced pluripotent stem cells with small molecules
International Journal of Pediatrics 2015;42(2):149-151
Induced pluripotent stem cells can differentiate into a variety of cell types, which promote the development of human disease model, drug toxicity screening and sources of autologous cells. However, there have been many problems in the induced pluripotent stem cells reprogramming, such as safety and low efficiency.Small molecules are considered as a promising method to improve the reprogramming processes of induced pluripotent stem cell, and more and more small molecules have been identified to maintain stem cell self-renewal,providing a new approach to produce the desired reprogramming cells.
