The imaging techniques have been widely used in the diagnosis of chronic osteomyelitis, including plain radiography, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography and radionuclide imaging.Plain radiography is useful in the early detection of suspected osteomyelitis, but its sensitivity is low.Due to its high resolution and sensitivity,MRI has been the most widely used but its specificity is relatively poor.CT is mainly recommended for diagnosis of chronic osteomyelitis in complicated anatomic regions.Radionuclide imaging will have prospects of broad application due to its diverse radiotracers and high sensitivity. This paper reviewed the research of imaging modalities in diagnosis of chronic osteomyelitis.

Journal of Southern Medical University 2009;29(7):1384-1386
OBJECTIVETo detect the expression of RhoA in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BLF) from asthma patients allergic to dust mites and study its clinical significance.
METHODSBLF was collected from 47 mite-allergic asthma patients, 15 asthma patients non-allergic to dust mites and 7 healthy volunteers to detect RhoA expression by immunohistochemistry.
RESULTSThe total positivity rates of RhoA expression were 66.7% in mite-allergic asthma patients, 70.2% in asthma patients non-allergic to dust mites and 0 in healthy volunteers, showing significant difference between the 3 groups (P<0.01). No statistical difference was observed in RhoA expression levels between male and female asthma patients allergic to dust mites (P>0.05). The total positivity rate was 83.3% in asthma children allergic to dust mites, higher than that in other patients with different ages, but their RhoA expression levels showed no significant differences (P>0.05). The total positive rates were 33.3%, 57.9%, 88.2% and 100.0% in patients with clinical grades I, II, III and IV, showing significant differences (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONSThe positivity rate of RhoA in the BLF is higher in asthma patients allergic to dust mites than in normal healthy subjects, increases with the clinical grade.

The World Journal of Men's Health 2016;34(3):173-178
Premature ejaculation (PE) is a common male sexual dysfunction that can have significant effects on a couple's relationship. Behavioral therapy and psychotherapy are both safe and effective methods of treating PE. Ancient Chinese fangzhongshu (sexual skills and methods), which reflects a summary of expert experiences in sexology, contains many therapies for sexual dysfunction that are similar to those used in behavioral therapy or psychotherapy. A brief introduction dealing with the latest definitions of PE and treatment strategies drawn from behavioral therapy and psychotherapy is provided. Typical therapies for PE from ancient Chinese fangzhongshu are listed and briefly analyzed in order to define their domain of applicability and instructions for use. Ancient Chinese fangzhongshu contains many effective and safe therapies for PE. It should be incorporated into modern medical practice after critical analysis, and its scientific aspects should be promoted as a way of improving reproductive health, both to benefit individuals affected by PE and to promote traditional Chinese culture. Based on an analysis of the condition of the individual patient, one or multiple therapies guided by fangzhongshu can be expected to have an effect on the patient. Ancient Chinese fangzhongshu is of great value and should to be popularized and applied as a remedy for PE.
