1.A bibliometrics study of literature on medical image processing for the past ten years.

We searched and retrieved literature on the topic of medical image processing published on SCI journals in the past 10 years. We then imported the retrieved literature into TDA for data cleanup before data analysis and pro cessing by EXCLE and UCINET to generate tables and figures that could indicate disciplinary correlation and research hotspots from the perspective of bibliometrics. The results indicated that people in Europe and USA were leading researchers on medical image processing with close international cooperation. Many disciplines contributed to the fast development of medical image processing with intense interdisciplinary researches. The papers that we found show recent research hotspots of the algorithm, system, model, image and segmentation in the field of medical image processing. Cluster analysis on key words of high frequency demonstrated complicated clustering relationship.

2.Clinical analysis of 31 cases of testicular torsion

Objective To improve early diagnosis of testicular torsion,reduce misdiagnosis and reduce the rate of orchiectomy.Methods The diagnosis and treatment of testicular torsion in 31 cases were retrospectively ana-lyzed.Results 54.8% misdiagnosis rate was in this group,all the 31 cases were diagnosed by color Doppler ultra-sound,including 19 cases of retained testicle and orchiectomy in 12 cases (38.7%).In 19 cases of this group retained testis,testicular torsion time within 5 hours was 2 cases,and postoperative had testicles survival.In the 6 cases of testicular torsion time within 5 hours to 10 hours,5 cases had the testis survival.In the 5 cases of torsion of testis time was 10 hours to 24 hours,3 caseshad the testis survival.In the 6 cases of testicular torsion time more than 24 hours,2 cases of testis survival.After postoperative following-up,19 cases of retained testis had no recurrence,all the 31 cases were found no contralateral testicular torsion and all cases sex hormone levels were in the normal levels. Conclusion Testicular torsion is easily misdiagnosed,color doppler ultrasound should be preferred.Early diagnosis and aggressive surgical exploration,unity and strictly control the orchiectomy surgery indications,means a lot to reduce the rate of orchiectomy.
3.Therapeutic effect of 138 imported falciparum malaria patients

Objectives To summarize the clinical characteristics of imported falciparum malaria patients and the treatment so as to provide the evidences for improving the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Methods A total of 138 imported falci?parum malaria patients who received the treatment in Shandong Institute of Parasitic Diseases from January 2007 to February 2013 were adopted as the observation subjects and their clinical data were collected and analyzed. Results All the 138 pa?tients were back from African countries. The main manifestations were fever headache asthenia and hepatosplenomegaly and most of them were with decreased RBC PLT levels and increased LDH levels and 36.96%of them were misdiagnosed as respiratory diseases nephritis hepatitis and so on. Through antimalarial treatment of artemether or artesunate or dihydroartemis?inin and primaquine or dihydroartemisinin and piperaquine and symptomatic treatment the short?term and long?term cure rates were 98.55%and 94.93%respectively with 1 case unrecovered and 1 died. Conclusions Artemisinins are still the most effective antimalarial drugs for falciparum malaria. However some patients recrudesce as the Plasmodium in their body is resis?tant or insensitive to these drugs. We should pay more attention to the antimalarial and symptomatic treatments in the early stage of severe malaria so as to improve the cure rate.
4.Effect of homeopathic bidirectional-traction reduction device and traction table in surgical treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly

Objective To compare the outcomes of homeopathic bidirectional-traction reduction device and traction table in surgical treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fractures.Methods A retrospective case control study was made on 94 cases of femoral intertrochanteric fractures treated from July 2015 to December 2015.There were 26 males and 68 females,aged 60-75 years.According to the Evans classification,the fractures were type Ⅱ in 24 cases,type Ⅲ in 32 and type Ⅳ in 38.Fifty-seven cases sustained chronic diseases.According to the random number table,the subjects were assigned to receive homeopathic bidirectional-traction reduction (homeopathic reduction group,48 cases) and traction table reduction (control group,46 cases).All fractures were fixed with proximal femoral nail antirotation.Operation time,reduction time,tluoroscopy time,blood loss and rate of closed reduced cases were recorded.Fracture union and rotation of the affected femur to the tibia were detected after operation.Functional outcome was evaluated using the Harris score at the final follow-up.Results All fractures were reduced closely in homeopathic reduction group,while 15 fractures in control group were reduced via a small-incision anterior approach.Operation time,reduction time and fluoroscopy time in homeopathic reduction group were (62.9 ± 12.1) min,(6.8 ± 1.5) min and (11.3 ± 5.6) s respectively,significantly less than the corresponding data in control group (all P < 0.05).One month after operation,rotation of the affected femur to the tibia was (2.8 ± 1.2) ° in homeopathic reduction group,significantly less than that in control group [(11.5 ± 4.7) °] (P < 0.05).Bone union was observed in all cases.At the final follow-up,Harris hip score was (92.6 ± 7.6)points in homeopathic reduction group,significantly higher than that in control group [(87.3 ± 6.5) points] (P < 0.05).Conclusion For the elderly patients with intertrochanteric fractures,homeopathic bidirectional-traction device has advantages of high rate of closed reduction,shorter operation time,less radiological exposure and satisfactory function recovery of the affected hip joint.
5.Perioperative nutrition management of liver transplantation patients

Objective:To summarize the perioperative nutrition management,improve the successful rate in liver transplantation patients and reduce the complications after operation.Methods:A retrospective analysis of the perioperative nutrition treatment was made in 71 cases with liver transplantation.The principle of enteral nutrition before operation was appropriate energy,protein and rich vitamin,and the branched-chain amino acid(BCAA) and glutamine(Gln) were supplied.Intravenous nutrition,early enteral nutrition and total enteral nutrition support were applied during the postoperation period.Results: Except 5 cases that died from respiratory failure and 2 died from hemorrhagic shock respectively,other 64 cases recovered gradually in liver function,and their nutrition indices were enhanced significantly.Conclusion:The perioperative nutrition management is very necessary for liver transplantation patients,and the appropriate nutrition support is helpful to rehabilitate the function of graft organ and the nutritional status of the recipients as possible as early.
6.Detection and signlficance of C-reactive protein in elderly patients with diabetes mellitus and cerebral infarction

ObjectiveTo evaluate the significance of the detection of serum C-reactive protein (CRP) in elderly patients with diabetes mellitus and cerebral infarction.MethodsSeventy-two patients with diabetes mellitus and cerebral infarction (diabetic cerebral infarction group),66 patients with cerebral infarction and without diabetes mellitus (non-diabetic cerebral infarction group) and 60 healthy persons (control group) from October 2008 to January 2011 were selected.The level of serum CRP was detceted.ResultsThe level of CRP was ( 3.81 ± 2.23 ) mg/L in diabetic cerebral infarction group,( 2.48 ± 2.24 ) mg/L in non-diabetic cerebral infarction group and (0.68±0.16) mg/L in control group.The levels of CRP in diabetic cerebral infarction group and non-diabetic cerebral infarction group were significantly higher than that in control group (P < 0.05).The level of CRP in diabetic cerebral infarction group was obviously higher than that in non-diabetic cerebral infarction group(P <0.05).CRP abnormal rate was 70.8%(51/72) in diabetic cerebral infarction group and 43.9% (29/66) in non-diabetic cerebral infarction group,which had statistical significance (P < 0.05).ConcluslonCRP has important predictive value to the occurrence and development of diabetic cerebral infarction.
7.The influence of atorvastatin on the carotid atherosclerotic plaque and prognosis of older apoplexy

Objective To explore the influence of atorvastatin on the carotid atherosclerotic plaque and prognosis of older apoplexy.Methods 124 patients with carotid atherosclerotic plaque were randomly divided into 2groups,64 cases in the observetion group who had given atorvastatin(20mg) and general,and 60 cases in control group who had given genenal treatment.The relapse rate of apoplexy,the level of blood-fat and live viability condition were compared.Results ( 1 ) In the treatment group,the recurrence rate was 4.7%,and 18.3 % in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(x2=5.76,P < 0.05 ).The two groups of adverse events had no significant difference ( x2=0.00,P > 0.05 ).(2) In the treatment group,after treatment compared with before treatment,after the treatment group compared with the control group after treatment,TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C levels were statistically different ( all P < 0.05 ).(3) The life skills of the treatment group after treatment was signiflcantly better than the control group,the difference was statistically significant( x2 =24.18,P < 0.05 ).Conclusion A torvastatin could significantly reduce the level of blood fat,improve prognosis,and reduce the rate of apoplexy,and had good effect.
8.Comparative analysis of conventional ultrasonography and contrast-enhanced ultrasound in diagnosis of renal artery stenosis

Objective To compare contrast-enhanced ultrasound and conventional ultrasound in determining artery stenosis of varying degrees of accuracy. Methods Using conventional ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound renal artery stenosis was diagnosed.And the renal artery diameter stenosis were measured the extent to which digital subtraction angiography (DSA) as the standard diagnostic accuracy of two methods to determine the rate. Results 50 patients were diagnosed as renal artery stenosis with DSA,21 patients stenosis rate 30%-49%,23 patients stenosis rate 50%-75%,6 patients stenosis rate >75%.diagnose accordance rate 78%(38/50)with conventional color doppler and 92% (46/50) with contrast-enchanced ultrasound.The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05=. ConclusionUsing ultrasound imaging of the renal artery stenosis to determine the degree had higher accuracy than the conventional ultrasonic testing method,was suitable for clinical application.
9.Risk factors and treatment efficiency for lung cancer patients with venous thromboembolism

Objective To investigate the risk factors and treatment efficiency for lung cancer patients with venous thromboembolism (VTE). Methods Total 282 cases of lung cancer patients with VTE were enrolled into two groups , including the VTE group and the non-VTE group , for comparation analysis based on a series of clinical data. Results The occupation rate of adenocarcinoma and Ⅳ period were 65.28% and 87.50% in VTE group, respectively, higher than those of 51.43% and 75.71% in the non-VTE group. The increased rate of blood viscosity and d-dimer respectively were 65.28% and 70.83%, higher than those of 51.43% and 56.67% in the non-VTE group, with significant differences (P < 0.05, respectively). Result of logistic regression analysis showed that tumor stage , d-dimer levels , smoking , age , and blood viscosity levels were highly correlated with venous thrombosis in patients with lung cancer, and the OR value among them was 3.802, 2.339, 5.814, 3.875 and 6.404, respectively, with significant differencees (P < 0.05, respectively). Conclusions Lung adenocarcinoma with stage Ⅳ, smoking , age and increase of blood viscosity and d-dimer were the important risk factors for VTE in patients with lung cancer chemotherapy. Timely assessment of risk factors and early anticoagulation therapy in lung cancer patients with venous thromboembolism associated with VTE can improve the treatment efficacy and reduce the complications.
10.The effect of catalase on smoking related laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.

OBJECTIVE:
Investigate the effect of oxidative stress on the occurrence and development of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma associated with smoking, and the clinical diagnostic value of catalase on smoking related laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.
METHOD:
Collecting 119 smokers(including the smoking related laryngeal cancer group 68 cases, the control group 51 cases), the indexes of catalase (CAT), malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione (GSH), nitric oxide (NO) in blood plasma and cancerous tissue in two groups were compared. The association between these oxidative stress indicators and the occurrence and severity of smoking related laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma was analysised by SPSS 17.0.
RESULT:
(1) Compared with control group, the smoke frequency and amount, CAT, MDA, GSH increased significantly in the smoking related laryngeal cancer group (P = 0.000; 0.000; 0.000; 0.000; 0.000); whereas SOD, NO decreased (P = 0.000; 0.000). (2) The lower the differentiation degree, the higher the serum CAT (P = 0.000) and the higher CAT, MDA, GSH of larynx tissue (P = 0.000; 0.000; 0.000), but the lower the serum NO (P = 0.000) and the lower SOD, NO of larynx tissue (P = 0.000; 0.000); The higher the clinical stage, the higher CAT of serum and larynx tissue and the higher GSH of larynx tissue (P = 0.000; 0.001), the lower NO of larynx tissue (P = 0.009). (3) The serum CAT, MDA were independent risk factors of smoking related laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OR = 1.060, 2.475; P < 0.01, P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION
Oxidative stress is the key factor of the occurrence of smoking related laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma, and the CAT can be used as the indicator of clinical diagnosis of smoking related laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.
