Chinese Mental Health Journal 2017;31(4):286-294
Objective:This paper explores the development characteristics of posttraumatic growth, and the acceleration of resiliency in posttraumatic growth among adolescents after Wenchuan Earthquake. Methods:We constructed our sample which consisted of 46 adolescents who had traumatic experience in the Wenchuan Earthquake using stratified sampling method. We tracked and monitored the psychological well-being of our subjects for approximately two and half years and six months using questionnaires.9 individuals from the sample were selected based on purposeful sampling according to the longitudinal data and in-depth interviews were conducted for these selected adolescents. The data were collected by semi-structured interviews, organized by Nvivo8.0 and analyzed using thematic analysis. Results:Posttraumatic growth contained four dimensions, including new possibility of the emergence, positive changes of attitude in interpersonal relationship and in philosophy of life, personal strength except altruistic behavior and spiritual change.Protective factors of resiliency among the interviewed students showed individual and gender differences, adolescents with a higher level of resilience had a higher level of posttraumatic growth. Conclusion:The dimensions of posttraumatic growth have unique features.Resilience plays an important role in facilitating individual's posttraumatic growth after the Wenchuan Earthquake.Positive experience in the past and the positive reflection on the event can promote the level of posttraumatic growth.
3.Effects of simvastatin on vascular smooth muscle cells regulated by sterol regulatory element binding proteins
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2009;29(6):627-632,655
Objective To explore the biphasic effects of simvastatin on vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs), which were regulated by sterol regulatory element binding proteins(SREBPs).Methods ① Rat primary VSMCs were cultured, the effects of different concentrations of simvastatin on proliferation and migration of VSMCs were observed, and the expression of SREBP-1 and SREBP-2 mRNA on VSMCs was detected.② Rat models of atherosclerosis were established, and were divided into atherosclerotic injured group (n=6), low concentration simvastatin group (n=6) and high concentration simvastatin group (n=6). Besides, normal control group (sham operation group, n=8) was established. Intragastric group and high concentration simvastation group, respectively, while those in normal control group and atherosclerotic injured group were given same amount of normal saline. Rats were sacrificed 4 weeks later. Plasma lipid levels were examined by enzymic method, ratios of intima/(intima + tunics media) of thoracic aorta and left common carotid artery were determined, and the expression of SREBP-1 and SREBP-2 mRNA on blood vessels was detected by RT-PCR. Results Simvastatin didn't show biphasic effects on the proliferation and migration of VSMCs. Low concentration simvastatin didn't promote the proliferation and migration of VSMCs, while high concentration simvastatin showed inhibition effect on the proliferation and migration of VSMCs, which was dose-dependent and independent of lipid regulation effect by simvastatin. Simvastatin could activate the expression of SREBP-1 and SREBP-2 mRNA of VSMCs. Moreover, high concentration simvastatin could significantly activate the expression of SREBP-1 and SREBP-2 mRNA. Conclusion Simvastatin can inhibit the proliferation and migration of VSMCs by activating SREBPs.

Objective To discuss the effect and clinical value of serum sialic acid (SA) and lactadherin(MFG-E8) in the coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(CHD).Methods Selected 295 patients who visited to Wuhan University Renmin's Hospital cardiovascular medicine (from January to June, 2014), and then according to the results of coronary angiography divide the subjects into control group (n =78, the result of coronary angiography completely normal)and coronary heart disease group(n =217, the results of coronary angiography showed that one major coronary stenosis was more than 30%).Detected their serum level of lipid, SA, MFG-E8, hs-CRP index. At last, analyze the differences of SA and MFG-E8 between these groups, and the correlation with the severity of coronary stenosis (symbolize with Gensini score), use the binary logistic regression analysis to research the relationship among the serum level of SA, MFG-E8 and the risk of CHD.Results Compared with the control group, the patients with CHD have a higher level of serum SA and a lower level of MFG-E8 (U =4 402.5, 2 736.0 respectively,P <0.001);the AMI group has a higher level of serum SA than the StA and UA groups (U =1 329.0,957.5 respectively, P <0.001);the AMI group has a lower level of serum MFG-E8 than the StA groups (U =1517.0, P < 0.001).The spearman correlation analysis showed that the serum SA has a positively correlation with the level of TG, hsCRP and Gensini score, and has a negatively correlated with the level of MFG-E8 (r =0.214, 0.462, 0.378,-0.322 respectively,P <0.01);the MFG-E8 has a negatively correlated with the level of TG, hsCRP and Gensini score (r =-0.18,-0.425,-0.564 respectively, P <0.01).Binary logistic regression analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between the serum SA and the risk of CHD (OD =4.782, 5.319, 4.179 3.832, 3.648 respectively, P <0.001), and the was a negative correlation between the serum MFG-E8 and the risk of CHD (OD =O.118, 0.112, 0.127, 0.135, 0.134 respectively, P < 0.001).Conclusion With the serum SA rised and the MFG-E8 reduced, the risk of coronary heart disease was higher, combined detection these two indexes may be able to diagnose the CHD and assess the degree of stenosis and the risk of CHD.

Objective To study the clinical value of combined detection of D-dimer,PT,FIB and Cyc-C in the patients with nephrotic syndrome(NS) complicating thromboembolism. Methods Sixty-five patients with clinically diagnosed NS(observation group) in the Huangshi Municipal Central Hospital from April 2013 to March 2016 were selected and divided into the non-thromboembolism group(group A,45 cases) and thromboembolism group(group B,20 cases).Contemporaneous 43 individuals undergoing physical examination served as the control group(group C).The levels of Cys-C and 24 h urine protein were tested by the electrochemical luminescence method;meanwhile PT,FIB and D-dimmer levels were detected by the nephelometry method.Their changes in the patients with NS complicating thromboembolism were observed. Results The levels of Cys-C,24 h urine protein and D-dimer in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.01).The difference of PT and FIB levels were not statistically significant(P>0.05);the D-dimer and Cys-C levels in the observation B group was significantly higher than that in the observation A group(P<0.05),moreover the D-dimer level was positively correlated with Cys-C.Conclusion D-dimer and Cys-C can be used as the predictive factors of thromboembolism occurrence in NS patients.

Objective To explore the cause, clinical characteristic and the relation to the alterations of bone metabolism and bone mineral density (BMD) in senile male patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods Fifty senile male patients with simple stable COPD were divided into moderate and severe groups based on the diagnostic criteria of pulmonary function. Thirty senile male health volunteers were considered as control group. Blood gas analysis, BMD, bone mineral content (BMC), biochemical indexes relative to the bone formation and bone absorption in blood and urine were measured and analyzed. Results Reductions in BMD and BMC were more significant in two COPD groups than those in control group (P

The method for determining the content of gallic acid and ellagic acid in Granati Pericarpium was established by HPLC. Using the method, the content of raw and charred Granati Pericarpium was determined. By comparison, it was found that the content of gallic acid and ellagic acid increased first and then reduced during processing. When processed on an appropriate degree, the content reached the maximum. The result indicated that gallic acid and ellagic acid can be used as indicators to control the processing degree of charred Granati Pericarpium.
