1.Impact of parents' occupational class and intergenerational occupational mobility on children's health in the future
Chinese Journal of Health Management 2012;(6):367-370
Objective To assess the impact of parents' occupational class and intergenerational occupational mobility on children's mental health so as to provide evidence for improving health equity. Methods Chinese general social survey 2005 (CGSS2005) dataset was used for multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA).Results The proportion of children whose father or mother was of lowerclass occupation was 59.0% and 62.9%,respectively.When grew up,this figure dropped to 49.8%.Those whose father was in the higher-class occupational group reported better mental health status (F =1.449,P=0.015).Downward occupational class mobility experience also increased the risk of mental illness (F =3.050,P =0.048).Conclusion This study suggests an independent relationship between mental health and parents' occupational class and intergenerational occupational mobility.

International Eye Science 2014;(8):1484-1487
AIM:To analyze the recovery of visual cortex activation range of color vision in anisometropia amblyopia children after treatment by using blood oxygen level dependence-functional magnetic resonance imaging ( BOLD- fMRI ) and SPM8 software.
METHODS:Self-control study. This fMRI study directly compared activity in visual cortex produced by color monocular stimulation in 13 monocular anisometropia amblyopia children. The project of study was blocked design. The data of functions and anatomical MRI was stimulated by three-primary colors and was preprocessed and analyzed by SPM8 that based on MATLAB software. According to the data, we compared the change of the central area of color vision when first visit and 1, 2 ,4wk after treatment.
RESULTS: The BA17, BA18, BA19 and BA37 of amblyopia children were different activated after they accepted the three-primary colors stimulation (P<0. 01). After 4wk treatment, amblyopia children accepted red stimulation, the visual cortex activation range without expanding; after accepting green stimulus, on the left side of the visual cortex BA37, BA19, BA20, the average t value were 3. 5210, 3. 2716, 3. 1534 ( P< 0. 01 ); after accepting blue stimulation, the scope of the right side of visual cortex at BA19, BA18 were expanded to different extent, the average t value were 3. 7345, 3. 2701 (P<0. 01).
CONCLUSION: After 4wk treatment, visual cortex activation of color vision of anisometropia amblyopic children is expanded, but with low extent, after the short-term treatment of amblyopia, visual cortex activation of color vision has a certain degree of recovery but not obvious.

ObjectiveTo detect the effect of electroacupuncture combined with acupoint injection of deer melon polypeptide on the bone morpho-genetic protein synovial, BMPs and serum rheumatoid factor IgA-RF, IgM-RF.MethodsA total of 246 patients with Rheumatoid arthritis were divided randomly into control group and combined treatment group, 123 patients in each group. The control group received the treatment of electro-acupuncture, drug and Ultrashort wave therapy, and the combined treatment group continue to receive acupoint injection of deer melon polypeptide after 30 minutes when the treatment of control group was completed. Both groups were treated for 2 weeks. The expression of BMPs, MMP-1 and the ESR, serum rheumatoid factor IgA-RF, IgM-RF were detected. The morning stiffness time, Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) and visual analogue scale (VAS) were recorded for outcome assessment.ResultsCompared with control group after treatment, the positive expression rates of ESR (8.79 ±1.61 mm/hvs.12.41 ± 2.57 mm/h,t=3.654), IgM-RF (22.38% ± 5.45%vs.39.57% ± 6.18%,t=2.365), IgA RF (32.84% ± 6.57%vs.49.84% ± 4.20%,t=2.574) in the combined treatment group significantly decreased. Compared with the control group, the expression of BMPs (15.43 ± 2.94vs.7.22 ± 1.52,t=3.914) in the combined treatment group significantly increased, while MMP-1 (8.01% ± 1.54%vs. 15.34% ± 2.47%,t=2.015) in the combined treatment group significantly decreased (P<0.05). Compared with control group, the outcomes VAS (3.37 ± 0.35 vs.5.75 ± 0.39, t=3.251), WOMAC (22.36 ± 3.49vs.30.50 ± 4.11,t=4.021), and morning stiffness (34.32 ± 5.57 minvs. 49.84 ± 4.20 min,t=3.914) in the combined treatment group significantly decreased (P<0.05). The total effect rate (82.11%vs. 71.55%,χ2=12.764) of combined treatment group was significantly higher than control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Electroacupuncture combined with acupoint injection of deer and melon peptide can improve effect rate.

ObjectiveTo study the effect of low molecular weight heparin sodium (LMWHS) therapy for exertional heat stroke (EHS) patients with pre-disseminated intravascular coagulation (pre-DIC).Methods A prospective randomized controlled trial (RCT) was conducted. Thirty-six patients with EHS with pre-DIC admitted to Department of Critical Care Medicine of 180th Hospital of Chinese PLA from April 2012 to November 2014 were divided into heparin sodium group (n = 20) and LMWHS group (n = 16) in accordance with the random number table. All patients received bundle treatment after being admitted to the hospital, including rapid cooling, fluid resuscitation, organ support (mechanical ventilation, hemopurification if necessary), supplement of pro-coagulation factors, etc. The patients in heparin sodium group were treated with continuous heparin sodium 12 500 U throughout 24 hours with intravenous pump for 5 days, and the patients in LMWHS group were given LMWHS 2 500 U subcutaneously, twice a day for 5 days. The incidence of DIC, incidence of bleeding and mortality of two groups were compared. The platelet count (PLT), prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), fibrinogen (Fib) and D-dimer of each patient between pre and post treatment times were compared. Results No significant difference was found in the incidence of DIC and mortality between LMWHS group and heparin sodium group (31.2% vs. 30.0%,χ2 =0.007,P = 0.936; 6.2% vs. 5.0%,χ2 = 0.026,P = 0.871). Incidence of bleeding during treatment in LMWHS group was significantly lower than that in heparin sodium group (12.5% vs. 45.0%,χ2 = 4.425,P = 0.035). After treatment,PLT in both LMWHS group and heparin sodium group was significantly increased compared with that before treatment (×109/L: 140.5±17.5 vs. 110.5±16.5, 152.6±21.5 vs. 120.0±20.0, bothP< 0.05) and D-dimer was significantly decreased (mg/L: 0.5±0.1 vs. 3.2±1.2, 0.6±0.2 vs. 4.4±1.8, bothP< 0.05). APTT after treatment in heparin sodium group was significantly prolonged compared with that before treatment (s: 75.3±10.6 vs. 44.1±8.2,P< 0.05) while no change in APTT was found in LMWHS group (s: 38.6±5.5 vs. 42.1±8.4,P> 0.05). No significant difference was found in PT and Fib between pre and post treatment in all the patients. Conclusion When LMWHS was applied in EHS patients in pre-DIC stage, it could not only prevent DIC as efficiently as heparin sodium, but also results in lower incidence of bleeding. So LMWHS is safer.
