4.Holism of human being and universe on TCM
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(09):-
The interlink, consistency and unity of all things is an important thought in traditional Chinese philosophy. Therefore, holism of human being and universe is the long-dominant thought in China.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)forms its theory based on this holism concept. From the perspect of history and philosophy, the difference between TCM and western medicine was discussed after retracting the influence of the holism of human being and universe on TCM.Holism of human being and universe has a profound impact on TCM,which also contributes to differences between TCM and western medicine.
5.CD4~+ CD25~+Regulatory T Cells、IL-2 and Immune Tolerance
Yan-Yan QU ; Yong ZHAO ;
China Biotechnology 2006;0(11):-
More and more research proved that CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells (Treg cells) play an important role in immune tolerance in these years. Known as a T cell growth factor, Interleukin2 (IL-2) regulated the immune tolerance induced by Treg cells. IL-2 sustained the activity of Treg cells both in thymus and periphery while it was dispensable for the development of Treg cells in thymus. In addition, IL-2 signal affected the function of Treg cells and maintained their competitive fitness. Therefore, CD4+CD25+ Treg cells and IL-2 formed an immune network to regulate the processes of immune response, immune tolerance and autoimmune homeostasis.
6.Case-control study on the operative treatment for terrible triad of the elbow.
China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2014;27(1):41-45
OBJECTIVETo retrospectively analyze therapy comparison between hinged external fixator combining with internal fixation, soft tissue repair and plaster fixation after routine surgery for terrible triad of the elbow.
METHODSFrom January 2003 to June 2011,26 patients with terrible triad of the elbow (posterior dislocation associated with fracture of both the radial head and the ulnar coronoid process) were treated respectively by unilateral hinged external fixator and plaster fixation. Fourteen patients were treated with external fixator combining with internal fixation, soft tissue repair and reconstruction, including 8 males and 6 females, ranging in age from 20 to 62 years with an average of (33.60 +/- 8.53) years. The mean time of fixation was 7.5 weeks (ranged, 6 to 8 weeks), and forearm rotation exercise was performed after the first day of operation, elbow flexion and extension activities after 4 to 6 days. Twelve patients were treated with plaster external fixation combining with open reduction and internal fixation, including 8 males and 4 females, ranging in age from 21 to 63 years with an average of (34.80 +/- 7.41) years. The mean time of plaster fixation was 30.4 days, and functional exercise was carried out after 4 to 6 weeks of plaster removal. JOA assessment score were used to evaluate the elbow joint function.
RESULTSAll the patients were followed up, and the duration ranged from 12 to 36 months, with an average of 18.6 months. The mean time of fracture healing was (8.6 +/- 3.1) weeks in plaster group and (9.0 +/- 2.7) weeks in fixator group, with no statistical difference between the two groups (t =1.47, P > 0.05). The function and are of motion in plaster group and fixator group showed significant difference. While the pain, articular instability and deformity showed no statistical difference. The total assessment score between two groups indicated markedly difference (t = -2.66, P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONHinged external fixator can enhance lateral stability of elbows, benefit the reduction of fracture dislocation, guarantee early and safe functional exercise, prevent elbow stiffness, and reduce heterotopic ossification. In treating terrible triad of the elbow, the hinged external fixator is superior to other therapies with respect of improving the function of elbow joint.

7.Clinicai investigation on esomeprazoie treatment of sixty-nine asthmatic patients with gastroesophageal reflux symptoms
Chinese Journal of Digestion 2009;29(7):479-480
Objective To study the efficacy of esomeprazole in treatment of asthmatic patients with gastroesophageal reflux (GER) symptoms. Methods Sixty-nine asthmatic patients with GER symptoms were received esomeprazole 40 mg daily and mosapride 5 mg three times daily for 8 weeks. After that, esomeprazole 20 mg and mosapride 5 mg daily were prescribed to the patients for sustained therapy. The effect of asthma control was evaluated according to criteria for asthma control level made by Chinese Society of Respiratory Disease Asthma Group. All patients were followed up for 2 years. Results It was revealed that complete asthma control was achieved in 39 patients, well control in 25 patients and the total effective rate was 93 %. Asthma-control medication was stopped in 42 patients, dose reduced to 1/2 in 18 patients and continuous therapy in 9 patients. During 2 years follow-up, 58 patients were benefited from the treatment with complete asthma control and seldom attack of asthma was seen in 11 patients with reduced frequency and severity. Conclusion The symptoms of asthmatic patients with GER symptoms can be improved by esomeprazole, so that their quality of life areimproved.
8.Evaluation of treating mild ametropic amblyopia by refractive correction alone
Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2013;(3):220-221
A total of 102 cases (204 eyes) with mild ametropic amblyopia underwent refractive correction without any vision training. After wearing glasses, visual acuity was examined every 3 months during a follow-up period of 12 months. After wearing glasses 12 months,201 eyes (98.53%) were treated effectively,175 eyes (85.78%) cured basically and 3 eyes (1.47%) became invalid. The changes of visual acuity were satisfactory(P <0.01).The difference of visual acuity between every two observation timepoints were satisfactory(P <0.01).Treating mild ametropic amblyopia by refractive correction alone is both simple and effective. And it has an excellent compliance and a low cost.
9.Imaging of transient ischemic attack
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2012;(10):766-771
The causes of transient ischemic attack (TIA) are diverse and complex. It often attacks repeatedly and its early risk of stroke is high.Identifying etiology and pathogenesis and start the correct treatment in time are the important measures for the prevention of cerebral infarction. However, the conventional CT and MRI reveal no abnormalities in patients with TIA,and it brings difficulties to the clinical diagnosis and treatment.CT perfusion imaging can reflect abnormal cerebral blood flow perfusion in patients with TIA.CT perfusion imaging in combination with CT angiography may visually display its corresponding abnormal changes in the feeding artery and provide the valuable diagnostic information for the location of vascular stenosis, severity, plaque characteristics and collateral circulation. It has very an important significance for guiding clinicians to choose the best treatment options, improve clinic efficiency and observe efficacy.
10.Chitosan Promoting the Growth of in vitro Cultured Retinal Nerve Cells of SD Baby Rats
Acta Medicinae Universitatis Scientiae et Technologiae Huazhong 2010;39(1):116-119
Objective To study the effect of chitosan on the growth of the in vitro cultured retinal nerve cells. Methods The retinal nerve cells of SD baby rats were cultured in vitro. The effects of chitosan at 0.065%,1.25%,2.5%,5%,10%,15% on the growth of the retinal nerve cells were measured by MTT method. The blank control group was created. Results 1.25%,2.5%,5%,and 10% chitosan could obviously promote the growth of retinal nerve cells, and 10% chitosan was the optimal concentration for the growth of nerve cells. Conclusion Chitosan can effectively promote the growth of retinal nerve cells, and it is necessary to undertake the further study of Chitosan.
