1.Learning needs of nursing students for nursing English in senior high vocational school
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2013;(1):99-102
Objective To understand the learning needs of nursing students for nursing English in senior high vocational school. Methods A survey was carried out among 982 three-year nursing students in grade 2007-2009 in Cangzhou medical college by questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics with SPSS 17.0.Results Most students (93.0%) believed that nursing English was important and had a strong desire for most English skills, especially speaking and listening ability. They (90.7%) expected nursing teachers to take charge of or participate in teaching work and some students (30.6%) were dissatisfied with teaching material. They depended on teachers' instruction and preferred learning in real situations. Conclusions Nursing students in senior high vocational school have strong needs for nursing English, but there is a gap between current teaching situation and learning needs, which the course designers and teachers should take into full consideration in order to make the teaching more effective.
2.Progress in inflammatory cardiomyopathy
International Journal of Pediatrics 2011;38(2):141-143
Viral myocarditis can cause severe myocardial injury and even acute heart failure, then evolve into dilated cardiomyopathy, known as inflammatory cardiomyopathy. Immune reaction plays a key role in the transformation from viral myocarditis into dilated cardiomyopathy, including virus RNA continuous replication,immune-mediated injury, cellular apoptosis, other cellular immune response , myocardial antibodies and other humoral immune response. In the clinical treatment, besides anti-heart failure and cardiac nutrition, the use of ribavirin, α1-receptor blockers, β-receptor blockers, calcium channel blockers, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors and spironolactone should be emphasized.

Chinese Journal of Medical Library and Information Science 2015;(6):59-61
Reference service is one of the key tasks in library. The current situation of reference service in library and its problems were analyzed from the need of readers, and the problems to which attention should be paid were pointed out from its convenience and time-effectiveness .
6.Comparative analysis of retrieval results from PubMed and Embase.com
Chinese Journal of Medical Library and Information Science 2014;(9):75-77
Objective To recommend the appropriate retrieval tools for scientific researchers and improve their re-trieval efficiency by comparatively analyzing the retrieval results from PubMed and Embase .com.Methods Eight retrieval terms from different subjects were used to retrieve PubMed and Embase .com by subject headings and basic retrieval methods than can automatically transfer their function .Results Six different results were retrieved from PubMed and Embase.com with 8 retrieval terms. Conclusion The recall ratio is higher in Embase.com than in PubMed when they are retrieved by subject headings while the accuracy ratio is higher in PubMed than in Embase . com when they are retrieved by basic retrieval methods than can automatically transfer their function although error transformation occurs in both PubMed and Embase.com.
7. Influence of RNA interference targeting P13K p85a expression on invasion and metastasis of colorectal cancer cells
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;30(5):496-499
Objective:To investigate the infloence of RNA interference targeting P13K p85α on the invasion and metastasis of colorectal cancer cells. Methods:Foor shRNA vectors and one negative control vector were designed and stably transfected into LoVo cells. Western blotting analysis was used to screen for the groop which had the highest inhibitory rate; the cells were sobjected to woond closore assay and transwell assay to determine the migration of LoVo cells after stable transfection. Results: Western blotting analysis showed that cells transfected with shRNA/324 vector had the strongest inhibition of P13K p85α protein, with the inhibition rate being 77% , and cells in this groop were osed for woond closore assay and transwell assay. Wound cloaore assay showed that the healing ability of P13K p85α-depleted cells was significantly lower than that of the control cells (P<0.05). Transwell assay showed that the cells passing the polycsrhonate membranes was significantly less in P13K p85α-knockdown cells than in the control cells (P<0.05). Conclusion:Depletion of P13K p85α protein can obvioosly inhibit the migration of LoVo cells. P13K p85α may be a new therapeotic target for treatment of colorectal cancer metastasis.
8. Observation of synergistic anti-inflammatory effect of combination of sodium ferulate and oxymatrine
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2011;42(3):538-541
Objective: To assess the synergistic anti-inflammatory effect of sodium ferulate (SF) and kushenin, i.e. oxymatrine (OMT). Methods: The anti-inflammatory effect of the combination of SF and OMT was evaluated on xylene-induced murine ear edema model, carrageenin-induced rat paw edema model, and rat tampon-induced granuloma model in vivo. In vitro, the effect of SF and OMT on the nitric oxide (NO) production induced by LPS was observed on RAW264.7 cells. The content of NO in the supernatant was detected with Griess reagent. Results: When SF was used in combination with OMT, the edema induced by xylene and carrageenin was markedly inhibited, the weight of granuloma caused by tampon was also reduced in the high dose group, and the inhibition rate was more considerable by combined treatment than those by SF or OMT alone. In vitro, the NO production induced by LPS was depressed by combined treatment, and a synergistic anti-inflammatory effect was observed. Conclusion: The present study demonstrate that the combination of SF and OMT could exert conspicuous synergistic anti-inflammatory effect, and the mechanism may be related to the inhibited effect of NO production in inflammatory factors induced by LPS.
9.Dynamic imaging assessment on the upper airway in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2012;26(8):381-384
It is vital to make an individual plan for each patient with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) according to the obstruction sites. The high resolution anatomical information of upper airway and soft tissue can be obtained, especially by MRI and CT scans. Dynamic and state-dependent imaging techniques are beneficial to study stereo changes of anatomy and morphology of upper airway in quiet breathing, sleeping or airway closure. Although dynamic imaging examination has value in diagnosis and treatment of OSAHS, there has no uniform position diagnosis standard. This article reviews the history of dynamic imaging study on OSAHS, the advantages and disadvantages of various imaging technologies and prospects of imaging position diagnosis.

10.Assessment of Function of a Single Limb after Injury.
Journal of Forensic Medicine 2015;31(5):356-358
OBJECTIVE:
To explore the method for the objective evaluation of single limb function after in- jury in forensic medical practice.
METHODS:
The score of activities of daily living (ADL) were graded for a single limb function after injury from 47 cases. All cases were simultaneously evaluated using the different methods including Fugl-Meyer motor function assessment (FMA), weighting, look-up table (LUT). The correlation were compared between ADL and the other three methods.
RESULTS:
Injured part and the score using the three methods were correlated with ADL score (P < 0.05). The correlation coeffi- cient (|r| value) showed highest using LUT method, and lowest using FMA method.
CONCLUSION
The loss function of limb is affected by the injuried parts. The methods of FMA, weighting and LUT show a good accuracy for evaluating the limb function after injury and the correlation presents higher using LUT method.
