Objective: To study the effects of potentill on all systems of experimental animals to provide experimental evidence for the comprehensive safety evaluation of potentill.Methods: Mice and rats were given potentill orally to determine the influence on all systems, and the general pharmacological activities of potentill were recorded.Results: The general behavior of mice was normal after the adminisration of potentill , the test samples showed no synergetic hypnotic effect with nembutal at subthreshold dose, and had no influence on the spontaneous activity and body coordination ability of mice (P＞0.05).The test samples showed no obvious influence on the cardiovascular system and respiratory system of rats (P＞0.05).Conclusion: Potentill meets the general requirements of pharmacology at the prescribed dose.

Ten pregnant rats randomly chosen from the total twenty rats on day 9 ofprognancy were injected a high dosage of LRH-A.The other ten were used ascontrol group.After one day and two days the ultrastructure of the luteal cell wasobserved by transmission electron microscope.Compared with the control group,theexperimental group showed an increase of lipid droplets,and a lot of large lipiddroplets appeared.The smooth endoplasmic reticulum decreased,dissolved and lostits regular array.Mitochondria degenerated,Autophagocytic vacuole,lysosome,myelin figure,multivesicular body as well as residual body increased.Golgi appa-ratus swelled in the first day after injection,and then shrank.Microvilli on thesurface of the cell decreased.The above results all suggest that with the injection of high dosage of LRH-Ainto the pregnant rats,luteal cell shows morphologic regression and decrease insecretive function.

AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation surgical intervention of complicated cataract in patients with uveitis.
●METHODS:Retrospective study. A total of 57 cases (57 eyes ) with complicated cataract with uveitis were involved in the study from Jan. 2015 to Dec. 2015. All cases underwent phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation surgery successfully. The postoperative reaction, effect, complications and so on were retrospectively analyzed after phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation surgery. The date of visual outcome was analyzed using Non - parametric Wilcoxon test.
●RESULTS: lris were bleed in 21 eyes ( 37%) , 4 eyes ( 7%) with posterior capsule rapture and posterior chamber intraocular lens was not implanted in 4 eyes ( 7%) . The uncorrected visual acuity ( UCVA ) was significantly increased after surgery. The UCVA of 8 eyes (14%) were 0. 1 or better before surgery, and the UCVA of 42 eyes (74%) were 0. 1 or better 3mo after surgery, the difference was statistically significant ( Z=23. 42, P<0. 001). The corneal edema (17 eyes, 30%), uveitis (2 eyes, 4%) and intraocular hypertension ( 1 eyes, 2%) were appeared in postoperative 1d. The corneal edema (3 eyes, 5%) was appeared in postoperative 1wk. The uveitis ( 1 eyes, 2%) was appeared in postoperative 1mo. The corneal edema (1 eyes, 2%), uveitis (2 eyes, 4%) , intraocular hypertension ( 1 eyes, 2%) and after-cataract ( 3 eyes, 5%) were appeared in postoperative 3mo.
● CONCLUSION: The phacoemulsification combined intraocular lens implantation surgical intervention of complicated cataract in patients with uveitis has good effect and fewer complications.

Objective To analyze the efficacy and safety of suprapubic arc sling (SPARC) and transobturater vaginal tape (TOT) for female stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 275 women ( 139 in TOT group and 136 in SPARC group) in our institute from September 2008 to January 2011.We had compared the complications of the two groups.All the patient's ICI-Q-SF scores and PISQ-12 scores were collected.We compared the pre- and post-operative Qmax and PVR to find out if SPARC or TOT tap cause bladder outlet obstruction (BOO). Results The operative time was 25.1 ± 3.3 min for TOT and 34.8 ± 5.6 min for SPARC.There was statistical difference between the two groups in the aspects of operative time (P =0.00).The improvements of average symptom and QOL scores in patients undergoing TOT and SPARC were statistically significant (P =0.00).The improvements of the PISQ-12 scores in the two groups were statistically significant (P ＜0.05 ) as well.There was no significant difference (P ＞ 0.05 ) in the total cure rate of TOT and SPARC.The complications post SPARC and TOT were low.In the TOT group,the Qmax changed from 30.2 ± 8.7 ml/s per-operatively to 24.9 ± 8.6 ml/s post-operatively in a week.PVR changed from 1.6 ± 4.2 ml pre-operatively to 3.2 ± 6.5 ml post-operatively in a week.In the SPARC group,the Qmax changed from 31.7 ±9.4 ml/s pre-operatively to 26.9 ± 8.9 ml/s post-operatively in a week.PVR changed from 1.4 ± 3.7 ml pre-operatively to 3.5 ± 6.3 ml postoperatively in a week.All the changes were significant ( P ＜ 0.05 ).And in the SPARC group,the Qmax changed from 31.2 ± 10.0 ml/s pre-operatively to 26.2 ± 9.1 ml/s post-operatively; the PVR changed from 1.8 ± 3.2 ml pre-operatively to 4.7 ± 8.8 ml post-operatively (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusions Both the TOT sling and the SPARC sling have high cure rates for SUI.But the retropubic sling may lead to BOO and other complications,so the transobturate sling is a better treatment option for SUI.

Objective To assess the safety and efficacy of the transohturator tape (TOT) for surgical treatment of female stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Methods Clinical data of 206 TOT procedures for female urinary incontinence from Jan 2007 to Dec 2009 was retrospectively analyzed.Thirty-one women were identified as having mixed stress urinary incontinence.The mean age was 54.29 years(range,32-81 years),themean disease coursewas 10.31 years (range,1-40 years),and the mean follow-up time was 17.3 months (range,3-39 months).Therapeutic effects were assessed by Grouts-Blaivas outcome score.The results of the operation,complications and changes of urodynarnics were observed. Results The TOT operations were conducted under local anesthesia.The mean operative time was 23.9 min (range,16-35 min),Mean blood loss was 17.8 ml(range,15-30 ml).Short-term complications were as follows:thigh pain 14.08%,dysuria 5.83%,urinary posture change 0.97% and urinary retention 0.49%.The long-term complication rate was 0.97%,including vaginal wall defect and tape exposure in one case:the burr of tape exposure and sex life influence in one case.Long-term symptoms disappeared completely in 202 cases.The cure rate was 98.06%,and the rate of satisfaction was 100%. Conclusions Our results demonstrate that TOT procedure is a minimally invasive,safe and effective surgical treatment for stress urinary incontinence.

In recent years,exciting research progress has been made on hepatic Kupffer cells.For inflammation,the study of Kupffer cells focused on its mechanism of whether and how Kupffer cells play a role in regulating inflammatory reaction,especially molecular mechanisms.For fatty liver,researchers are exploring the role of Kupffer cells in the development of fatty liver,as well as potential treatments.For the treatment of ischemia-reperfusion injury,latest protocols were based on Kupffer cells.In the area of liver transplantation,the study of Kupffer cells centered on immune tolerance and graft versus host disease (GVHD).As for tumor,current studies focused on regulatory mechanism of Kupffer cells on growth and metastasis of tumor.This article will present a review on the latest progress.

A sensitive LC-MS/MS method to determine cocaine and its major metabolite benzoylecgonine in guinea pig's hair has been established. About 20 mg of decontaminated hair sample was hydrolyzed with 0.1 mol·L-1 HCl at 50 ℃ overnight, in the presence of cocaine-d3 and benzoylecgonine-d8 used as internal standards, and then extracted with dichlormethane. The analysis was performed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Positive electrospray ionization (ESI+) and multiple reactions monitoring (MRM) mode were used. The limit of detection (LOD) for cocaine and benzoylecgonine was 1 pg·mg-1. The calibration curves of extracted standards were linear over the range from 5 pg·mg-1 to 250 pg·mg-1 (r2≥0.999 7). The method was validated and applied to the analysis of guinea pig's hair after a single dose administration of cocaine hydrochloride. Cocaine and benzoylecgonine were not only detected, but also quantified in guinea pigs hair.

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical significance of determination of 20S proteasomal activities changes in circulating white blood cells (WBC) in patients with advanced gastric carcinoma.MethodsThe 20S proteasomal activities in circulating WBC separated from 80 patients with advanced gastric carcinoma were determined by 20S proteasome assay kit; the concentrations of interleukin-6(IL-6) in plasma were determined by radioimmunoassay method.The result was compared with that of 11 healthy volunteers.ResultsThe proteasomal activities in circulating WBC[(38.26 ±9.23),(101.85 ±27.63)pmol AMC/ ( s *mg pro) ] and concentrations of IL-6 [ (23.89 ± 6.76),(72.52 ± 20.71 ) ng/L ] of healthy volunteers and the patients with advanced gastric carcinoma had statistical significance (P ＜ 0.01 ).The proteasomal activities and the concentration of IL-6 were correlated with age,pathological type,weight changes,Karnofsky score and disease severe degree(P ＜ 0.01 );while they had no relationship with sex(P ＞ 0.05).Cox's proportional hazard regression model demonstrated that pathological type,Karnofsky score and proteasomal activities were the independent risk factors affecting the survival of patients with advanced gastric carcinoma (P ＜0.01 or ＜0.05).20S proteasomal activities and the concentration of IL-6 had positive correlation (r =0.691,P =0.000).ConclusionsThe proteasomal activites in circulating WBC and the concentration of IL-6 in plasma increase and are correlated with age,pathological type,weight changes,Karnofsky score and disease severe degree.Proteasomal activities in circulating WBC can be used as the prognostic reference factor of advanced gastric carcinoma.20S proteasomal activities and the concentration of IL-6 have positive correlation.
