Objective To study the anti-fatigue effects of enzymatic hydrolyzed protein from Pinctada martensii. Methods Swimming time, contents of liver glycogen and serum urea nitrogen after swimming were determined. Results Three dosages of EPA were all able to prolong swimming time and decrease liver glycogen consumption and serum urea nitrogen content after exhausted swimming in various degree. Conclusion The EAP has evident anti-fatigue effects.
4. Effects of Shufengjiedu Capsule on model of viral myocarditis in mice
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2016;47(1):110-113
Objective: To investigate the effect of Shufengjiedu Capsule on the modality of myocardial tissue and levels of serum TNF-α and SAA in mice with viral myocarditis. Methods: BALB/C mice were randomly divided into normal control group, virus group, Shufengjiedu Capsule 0.1, 0.2, 0.5 g/kg/d groups, and ribavirin 0.1 g/kg/d group. The mouse model of viral myocarditis was established by ip injection of CVB3, and after 2 h of modeling, the animals were continuously admistered for 7 d. Half of the mice were killed on days 4 and 8, the myocardium tissue was HE stained to observe the pathological changes and blood samples were taken for measurement of serum TNF-α and SAA contents. Results: Compared with the control group, the pathological changes of myocardium were significantly decreased in high-dose Shufengjiedu Capsule group, and the serum TNF-α and SAA contents were significantly decreased (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Shufengjiedu Capsule has antiviral effect and could alleviate the inflammation on mice with viral myocarditis.

ObjectiveTo study the mechanism of differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) into neuron-like cells in vitro.MethodsMSCs of Wistar rats were separated and cultured, and then induced with DMSO and BHA in vitro. The specific marking proteins of neurons, glia and neural stem cells were detected before preinduction, at 24h after preinduction, at 6h, 24h, and 48h after neuronal induction.ResultsAfter the inducement, many MSCs turned into bipolar, multipolar and taper, and then intersected as network structure. Nestin was strong positive at 6h after neuronal induction, and decreased at 24h, 48h after the induction. NeuN was present at 6 h after neuronal induction, and increased at 24h, 48h after the induction.ConclusionMSCs can be induced into neural stem cells(NSCs) at first, and then differentiate into neuron-like cells in vitro.

Method of isolation and purification of recombinant hepcidin was described, and the bioactivity of the protein was assayed in this paper. The oxidation of his-hepcidin was carried out in the cysteine-cystine system, and the multimers were removed through gel filtration under denaturation condition. Then the protein was refolded by continuous dilution and digested by enterokinase. The total yield of his-hepcidin before enterokinase cleavage is 50%, and the purity is above 95%.Through agar diffusion assay, the recombinant hepcidin displayed obvious antibacterial activity against B.subtilis.The LC-ESI-MS analysis of recombinant hepcidin showed that the measured molecular weight accorded with the calculated molecular weight, and the CD spectrum indicated that the secondary structure of recombinant hepcidin is similar with native hepcidin.

The clinical practice on real patients is more and more difficult in the present condition of the hospitals. Then, the modern medical simulating teaching is the main direction of the development in this field due to its characteristics, based on high- technology, simulating the real clinical circumstance, and being applicable in practice and avoiding the risk of clinical miscarriage. The significance and main development direction of modern medical simulated teaching will be discussed in this article.

Our university actively carried out the reform and innovation of the training mode of clinical medicine postgraduates . We implemented the standardized training of resident physicians throughout postgraduate training process , and carried out the comprehensive reform of the training mode of cultivating master degree students of clinical medicine and the standard training of resident doctors. Meanwhile, we trained the master degree students with the synergy of medical education and strengthened the cultivation of students' clinical practice ability, to cultivate qualified doctors for the country, and to improve the quality of postgraduate training.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2009;29(7):869-872
Objective To investigate the critical thinking ability of medical students and its related factors in order to provide evidence for higher medical education reform. Methods A total of 325 medical students were selected by cluster sampling method, and Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory-Chinese Version (CTDI-CV) was adopted for survery. Results The average total score of critical thinking ability of medical students was above 280, and 51.08% of students showed positive critical thinking ability. Among all the seven critical thinking dispositions, average scores of each item were all positive (>40) except that the significance of truth seeking (37.23) and systematicity (39.05) were indefinite. There were significant differences in critical thinking ability between medical students with different gender and academic years (P<0.05). Conclusion The critical thinking ability of medical students is positive, however, there still exist some shortages. An equal relationship between teachers and students should be established, the traditional course system be continuously reformed, a good environment for clinical training be created, and a variety of teaching methods be implemented to further strengthen the critical thinking ability of medical students.
