1.Study on Inclusion Constant and Thermodynamics between Brucine and β-Cyclodextrin Polymer
China Pharmacist 2015;(8):1263-1265,1276
To investigate the solubility and thermodynamics parameters between brucine and β-cyclodextrin polymer (β-CDP) under the condition of different temperature and pH solution. Methods:The solubility effect ofβ-CDP was performed by the phase-solubility method and the inclusion constant ( Kc ) and thermodynamic parameters were calculated. Results:The Kc at the differ-ent temperature of 25℃,37℃ and 45℃ was 88. 38,349. 29 and 641. 79 L·mol-1 , respectively, and that at the pH of 4,6. 8 and 10 was 490. 66,111. 85 and 58. 86 L·mol-1 , respectively. The solubility of brucine was increased linearly with the increase of β-CDP concentration in the AL-type phase solubility curve. The inclusion constant and solubilization of β-CDP were both higher under acidic conditions. Conclusion:The solubility of brucine in water can be improved byβ-CDP, and brucine andβ-CDP can form stable inclu-sion complexes with molar ratio of 1∶1. The inclusion compound can form spontaneously (ΔG<0), and high temperature and low pH value can enhance the formation of the inclusion compound.
2.Volatile oil inclusion of Jiufen Cataplasm
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(11):-
AIM: To elevate the stability of the volatile oil in Jiufen Cataplasm (Semen strychni,Herba ephedrae,Oilbanum and Myrrha) with the help of inclusion with ?-Cyclodextrin. METHODS: The quality of the volatile oil in Jiufen Cataplasm before and after stability test was examined by thin layer chromatography and differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetric analysis. RESULTS: The combination of volatile oil and ?-cyclodextrin could form stable inclusion compound that helped constant in before and after inclusion. CONCLUSION: The process of enclosure with ?-CD can keep the active components of the volatile oil in Jiufen Cataplasm.
3.Proteomic analysis of human ovarian cancer cell lines and their platinum-resistant clones
Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2000;0(09):-
Objective To perform comparative proteomic analysis of human ovarian cancer cell lines for detecting platinum-resistance associated proteins. Methods The total proteins of two sensitive (SKOV3 and A2780)and four resistant(SKOV3/CDDP,SKOV3/CBP,A2780/CDDP and A2780/CBP) human ovarian cancer cell lines were separated by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis(2-DE).The differentially expressed proteins were analyzed using image analysis software, stained with Coomassie Brilliant Blue, then identified using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF-MS)and database searching. The mRNA and protein levels of the differentially expressed protein which was most significant in all of the four resistant cell lines were validated by RT-PCR and western blotting, respectively. Results Five proteins were found to be significant in four cell lines. Annexin A3 and destrin were up-regulated and nicotinamide-adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADP)- dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 was down-regulated in all the four resistant samples.Glutathione transferase omega 1 had an increased expression in the other three resistant cell lines except for SKOV3/CBP in which its expression was not changed. However, cofilin 1 represented a different trend. In the two resistant sublines of SKOV3,eofilin 1 had a down-regulation,but it had an up-regulation in the cell lines induced from SKOV3.The expression of annexin A3 was up-regulated by 3-20 fold and the results of RT- PCR and western blotting showed complete consistency with that by 2-DE.Conclusions Proteomic techniques are useful to the identification of the resistance-associated proteins in ovarian cancer platinum- resistant cell lines and five candidates have been found. The five differential proteins might become hopeful candidate biomarkers for resistance.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2011;29(2):97-100
Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a hereditary disease characterized by the progressive loss of photoreceptor cells. Disease pathology primarily affects rod photoreceptor cells first but light-insensitive cone photoreceptor bodies can survivor longer. Delivered by adeno-associated viral vector or lentiviral vector, expression of microbial-type rhodopsin, channelrhodopsin-2 or archaebacterial halorhodopsin in the survived retinal cells can substitute for the native phototransduction cascade in mouse models of retinitis pigmentosa. It can also restore light sensitivity and activate all retinal cone pathways and drive sophisticated retinal circuit functions. Thus, expression of channelrhodopsins or halorhodopsin might be a potential strategy for the restoration vision of patients with RP.

Objective To summarize the clinical experience of diagnosis and treatment of solid-pseudopapillary tumor of pancreas(SPTP),and to work out the diagnosis and treatment process which matches the conditions of China. Methods The clinical data of consecutive 50 patients with SPTP who had been admitted to our hospital from January 2001 to March 2007 were retrospectively analyzed.Of all patients,3 were male and 47 female.Their median age Was 24 years(13-60 years).Preoperative imaging examination revealed typical findings and tumor markers were negative.SPIP of 23 cases were located in the head of pancreas,3 in the neck of pancreas,2 in the uncinate process of pancreas.3 in the body of pancreas,18 in the tail of pancreas, and the location of SPTP of 1 case was uncertain.Forty-eight patients underwent the operation of SPTP resection,1 of exploratory laparotomy and 1 of CT-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsy of metastatic lesions. Results Forty-nine out of 50 patients were diagnosed"pancreatic mass"preoperatively.Eighteen of the 32 patients with intact tumor capsule and 11 of the 16 patients without intact tumor capsule underwent operation without pathological examination.Thirty-two patients were followed up for 3-55 months, and no metastasis or invasion of the SPTP was observed. Conclusions Yong females are in the high risk group of SPTP.CT is the most valuable preoperative imaging test.Complete surgical resection is the first choice treatment with good prognosis.Resection of the head of pancreas with the preservation of duodenum and resection of body and tail of pancreas+splenectomy are the commou modalities used for the treatment of SPTP.The intactness of the tumor capsule is an important factor in making surgical plan and deciding the necessity of intraoperative frozen section pathological examination. The most common postoperative complication of SPTP resection is pancreatic fistula.

Neuromyelitis optica ( NMO) is an idiopathic autoimmune inflammatory disorder of the central nervous system ( CNS) that predominantly affects the optic nerves and spinal cord.It is especially common in Asia. An association between NMO and other autoimmune diseases has been frequently reported, which is different from multiple sclerosis( MS) ,this phenomenon may due to different genetic background between these two diseases. There are reports on different populations to make this clear, which showed human leukocyte antigen( HLA) class II distribu-tion was unique entity different between NMO and MS or healthy controls, this would be a great help to make clear the mechanism underlying NMO pathogenesis.

Schistosomiasis is a neglected tropical disease which is socioeconomically devastating and a significant cause of morbidity in endemic countries or regions. Some countries and regions have brought down the prevalence of schistosomiasis through positive prevention and control programs. However in the past few years with the social and economic development and globalization re?emergence and spread of schistosomiasis led to a growing concern that new endemic areas may occur. This article analyzes the epidemiological situation and the strategies to control schistosomiasis in China and African countries.
