Objective To investigate the effects of physicochemical factors on the growth and total flavonoids accumulation of Saussurea involucrata. Methods The dry weight and total flavonoids accumulation in multiple seedings of S. involucrata were measured. Results The optimal cultural condition for the growth and total flavonoid accumulation of S. involucrata was as following: MS culture medium adding 6-BA 0.5 mg/L + NAA 0.05 mg/L, 40 mmol/L of nitrogen source, NH4+-NO3- (15 : 25), 40 g/L of carbon sucrose, pH values 5.0-6.0, illumination intensity of 2 500 Ix, temperature 25°C. Conclusion The optimal culture conditions could significantly improve the growth and total flavonoids accumulation of S. involucrata. And the nitrogen, carbon, and temperature have the most obvious effects on the growth and total flavonoids accumulation of S. involucrata.

Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2010;23(1):46-47
The principal investigator responsibility system has been progressively under implementation at some of the domestic medical universities. However, since there are big differences between military medical universities and civilian ones in terms of organizational structures, tasks to be committed, functions and personnel systems, military medical universities have to consider own characteristics and well handle the following four pairs of relations in the process of implementing principal investigator responsibility system: the relation between the subject groups and the teaching and research sections, the relation between the subject research and the discipline construction, the relation between the subject research and the personnel training, and the relation between the collective assessment and the individual assessment in the process of performance assessment.

In this study, pEGFP-N1 was chosen as the reporter plasmid and transferred into Ctenopharyngodon idellus kidney (CIK) cells by electroporation, and the optimal electroporation conditions were determined by testing the transfection efficiency with different voltages, pulse times, plasmid amounts, and numbers of shocks. The results showed that the maximum electroporation efficiency was achieved under the following conditions in a 0.2 cm electroporation cuvette containing CIK cells (1.5 x 10(7)/mL, 200 microl): electric voltage 200 V, pulse time 45 ms, plasmid 30 microg, and one electric shock. The total genomic RNA of grass carp reovirus (GCRV) was extracted in this experiment and reversely transcribed into cDNA, which was used to amplify the gene segment of GCRV non-structural protein NS26 using designed specific primers. The PCR product was recombined into pEGFP-N1 vector. The fusion protein EGFP-NS26 was successfully and efficiently expressed in the CIK cells by electroporation, which was confirmed by both fluorescent imaging and Western blot analysis. This experiment laid a foundation for further functional studies of the non-structural protein NS26 of GCRV.

It is an urgent task to transform scientific research achievements on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) into standard for the science and technology workers of TCM. The transformation not only improves the level of TCM standard, but also promotes the scientific research achievement on TCM into productivity. The Medium and Long-Term Strategic Development Plan for TCM Standardization issued by the State Administration of TCM of the People's Republic of China put forward reinforcement of study on method for transformation of TCM scientific research achievement into standard. Thus, this paper presented seven steps for the transformation on the basis of the TCM Standardization Regulation (trial) in order to provide some references.

Modern Clinical Nursing 2016;15(12):33-36
Objective To investigate the effect of cold underwear on acute radioactive dermatitis in the cervical cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy. Methods Ninety-seven patients with stage Ⅱb and above Ⅱb cervical cancer receiving radiotherapy were divided into the control group (n =48) and the experiment group (n =49) according to the random digit table. In the control group,Orgotein was sprayed on the local skins and the experiment group was treated with wearing cold underwear for 20 minutes in addition to local spraying of Orgotein. The two groups were compared in terms of dermatitis on the early stage, middle stage and final stage.Result On the early stage there was no statistical significant difference between two groups on dermatitis (P>0.05),but the dermatitis in the experiment group was statistically less than that in the control group at the middle stage and final stage (P<0.01).Conclusions The cold underwear for the cervical cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy can effectively prevent dermatitis or reduce its severity. It is designed suitable for patients prom anatomical perspective and simple for application.

To study the identification of Gentianaceae Mongolian medicine Digeda with spectroscopy techniques, near infrared spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry techniques were applied to study on the identification of 4 kinds of Gentianaceae Mongolian medicine Digeda, and characteristic spectrums obtained were systematically analyzed. In NIR study, the four species of Digeda exist some differences in 4 250-4 400 cm(-1) and 5 650-5 800 cm(-1) of one-dimensional spectra, and show significant differences in 4 100- 4 400 cm(-1), 4 401-4 900 cm(-1) and 5 400-5 800 cm(-1) of the second derivative spectra. DSC curves of them present distinct topological pattern, characteristic peak and peak temperature. Using near infrared spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry analysis can realize efficient and accurate identification of four kinds of Mongolian medicine Digeda, and provide scientific basis for the efficient and accurate identification of other Gentianaceae Mongolian medicine Digeda.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(2):175-180
Wheat bran, as the testa of wheat, has a long history of medication. Modern studies have discovered that wheat bran contains dietary fiber, phenolic compounds, proteins, vitamins, minerals and many other compounds, and boasts wide pharmacological activities such as blood glucose reduction, hypertension reduction, lipid reduction, anti-oxidation, anti-bacteria, anti-inflammatory, antivirus, prevention of colon cancer and mutations, immunomodulation and adsorption of heavy metals. With great development and utilization values, wheat bran has long attracted wide attention from Chinese and foreign scholars. The paper summarizes the latest advance in domestic and foreign studies on effective components in wheat bran and their pharmacological effect, and gives a brief introduction of the limiting factors in the comprehensive development and utilization of wheat bran, in order to provide new preference for the development and utilization of abundant wheat bran resources in China.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2005;25(1):94-6, 99
The optimal plane for measurement of the right ventricular (RV) volumes by real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT3DE) was determined and the feasibility and accuracy of RT3DE in studying RV systolic function was assessed. RV "Full volume" images were acquired by RT3DE in 22 healthy subjects. RV end-diastolic volumes (RVEDV) and end-systolic volumes (RVESV) were outlined using apical biplane, 4-plane, 8-plane, 16-plane offline separately. RVSV and RVEF were calculated. Meanwhile tricuspid annual systolic excursion (TASE) was measured by M-mode echo. LVSV was outlined by 2-D echo according to the biplane Simpson's rule. The results showed: (1) There was a good correlation between RVSV measured from series planes and LVSV from 2-D echo (r = 0.73; r = 0.69; r = 0.63; r = 0.66, P < O. 25-0. 0025); (2) There were significant differences between RVEDV in biplane and those in 4-, 8-, 16-plane (P < 0.001). There was also difference between RV volume in 4-plane and that in 8-plane (P < 0.05), but there was no significant difference between RV volume in 8-plane and that in 16-plane (P > 0.05); (3) Inter-observers and intro-observers variability analysis showed that there were close agreements and relations for RV volumes (r = 0.986, P < 0.001; r = 0.93, P < 0.001); (4) There was a significantly positive correlation of TASE to RVSV and RVEF from RT3DE (r = 0.83; r = 0.90). So RV volume measures with RT3DE are rapid, accurate and reproducible. In view of RV's complex shape, apical 8-plane method is better in clinical use. It may allow early detection of RV systolic function.
