Objective To describe the clinicopathological features of histiocytic necrotizing lymphadenitis ( HNL). Methods Routine lymph node biopsies of 10 HNL cases were reviewed and their immunophenotyping were performed using S-P immunohistochemical staining. Results Histologically, HNL had discrete or integrated nodules variable in size in the paracortex,expecially in the interfollicular area,which were full of proliferating pleomorphic histocytes,transformed lymphocytes,and karyorrhectic debris without infiltration of the neutrophils, plasma cells and/or eosinophils. Immunohistochemistry revealed CD45RO + for transformed lymphocytes,CD68 +for histiocytes.and CD20 +for lymphocytes in the residual germinal centers. Conclusion The presence of pleomorphic histiocytes, transformed T-cells, and karyor-rhectic debris in the biopsy of lymph nodes, together with the absence of neutrophils support the diagnosis of HNL.

A moderately thermoacidophilic iron-oxidizing bacterium,designated as strain MLY,was isolated from a coal spoil heap in China.The optimum of temperature for growth is 50℃～54℃.The optimum of pH is 1.2～1.4.The strain MLY is facultative autotroph and grows heterotrophically on yeast extract.It is able to oxidize ferrous iron(Fe 2+ ),pyrite(FeS 2),and elemental sulfur(S 0) autotrophically and mixotrophically in the presence of yeast extract.Autotrophic oxidation of elemental sulfur is relative weak.The comparison of ferrous iron and pyrite oxidation between strain MLY and A10 Thiobacillus ferrooxidans,strain indicated that MLY is one time faster than A10.

Objective To study the value of the neuron-specific enolase(NSE) in the serum of patients with cerebral stroke in diagnosis, seriousness and evaluation of prognosis. Methods The levels of NSE in the serum of 77 patients with cerebral stroke(36 cases with hemorrhage, 41 cases with infarction) were measured by radio-immunoassay (RIA)method.Results The serum leves of NSE both in cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage patients were obviously higher than those of the control group( P 0.05). In the first week there was a positive correlation between NSE serum level and neurological deficit scores,the volume of haemorrhage, the volume of infarction( P 0.05) . Conclusion The NSE level in serum may be served as a objective index of seriousness and early diagnosis in stroke, but no helpful in differential diagnosis and evaluation of prognosis.

Objective: To compare the differences in pharmacokinetic behavior of six ingredients in Qikui Sustained-release Tablets in rabbit plasma. Qikui Granules was taken as reference. Methods: Diazepam was used as internal standard. LC-MS/MS detection methods of astragaloside, hyperin, isoquercitrin, rutin, morroniside, and loganin in rabbit plasma were established, and pharmacokinetic parameters of six components were calculated. Results: Six active ingredients’ equation of linear regressions were: astragaloside Y = 1.0 × 10-4 X - 0.009 9 (r = 0.999 7), morroniside Y = 1.0 × 10-4 X + 0.038 7 (r = 0.999 4), loganin Y = 3.0 × 10-5 X + 0.008 7 (r = 0.999 3), hyperin Y = 1.0 × 10-3 X - 0.016 1 (r = 0.999 0), rutin Y = 5.0 × 10-4 X - 0.011 5 (r = 0.999 4), isoquercitrin Y = 1.7 × 10-3X - 0.307 5(r = 0.999 2). Intra-day and inter-day precision and accuracy and recovery rate were up to the mustard. Contrast with Qikui Granules, relative bioavailability of morroniside, loganin, astragaloside, rutin, hyperin, and isoquerctirin in Qikui Sustained-release Tablets were 169.1%, 213.3%, 206.5%, 156.0%, 169.3%, and 186.3%, respectively. Conclusion: Qikui Sustained-release Tablets can significantly improve the bioavailability of each active ingredient in rabbit.
