OBJECTIVE: Aseptic prosthetic loosening is a primary problem of total hip arthroplasty. For this reason, several prosthesis interfaces with different characteristics have been studied, such as ceramic-on-ceramic prosthesis. The purpose of this study wasto investigate the mid- and short-term curative effects of ceramic-on-ceramic total hip arthroplasty in treatment of avascularnecrosis of the femoral head (ANFH) and to evaluate its clinical application value.METHODS: A total of 23 patients (28 hips) with ANFH who received ceramic-on-ceramic non-cement hip prosthesis replacementwere followed up. All hip prostheses were BiCONTACT~((R)) ceramic-on-ceramic hip prostheses. Functional evaluation was assessedaccording to the Harris hip score. Radiographic analysis was performed using the Gruen's zonal method for the stem and the zonal classification of Delee-Charnley for the cup implants.RESULTS: All patients were followed up for an average of 28 months. The mean Harris hip scores ranged from 39.45 points prior to surgery to 88.57 points after surgery, with a difference which was significant (P < 0.05). Radiographically, no obvious prosthesis loosening or subsidence was observed. CONCLUSION: The ceramic-on-ceramic total hip arthroplasty can produce good short-term curative effects in treatment of ANFH.Radiographic findings do not show obvious prosthesis loosening.

Objective To compare the application effects of pentobarbital sodium ,urethane and midazolam combined with ket-amine/Sumianxin Ⅱ in rabbit bone defect repair .Methods 120 healthy male adult rabbits were randomly divided into three groups according to different anesthetic agents ,40 cases in each group .The group A was intramuscularly injected by pentobarbital sodium , the group B was given urethane by the ear vein and the group C was given midazolam combined with ketamine/and Sumianxin Ⅱ by intramuscular injection .The onset time of anesthesia ,maintenance time ,breathing rate ,heart rate ,complications ,recovery time ,ad-ditional anesthetic agents and postoperative death rate in 3 groups were recorded respectively .Results The onset time of anesthesia in the group B and C was(4 .53 ± 0 .65) min and(3 .56 ± 1 .31) min respectively ,which were significantly shortened compared with the group A(P<0 .05);the maintenance time of anesthesia in the group B was (152 .12 ± 12 .53) min ,which was significantly short-ened compared with the group A and C (P<0 .05);the recovery time in the group C was (31 .05 ± 5 .73) min ,which was significant-ly shortened compared with the group A and B(P<0 .05) ,the propability of additional anesthetic agents and the postoperative mor-tality in the group C were significantly decreased compared with the group A and B (P<0 .05) .Conclusion The combined anesthe-sia of midazolam and ketamine/Sumianxin Ⅱ has definite effect without any observed intraoperative depressions of breathing rate and heart rate and with high safety ,high controllability and less influence on the long term survival of the experimental animals , which is a more ideal anesthesia method of the rabbit bone defect repair .

Objective To evaluate the effect of therapeutic communication on perioperative anxiety of cancer patients by using the Meta-analysis.Methods The randomized controlled studies of therapeutic communication for perioperative anxiety of cancer patients were gathered from Pubmed,Embase,Cochrane Library,China Biology Medicine Disc (CBM),China Scientific Journal Database by VIP (CSJD),China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Wangfang Data,while other relative researches were also searched by hand.According to inclusion and exclusion criteria articles were evaluated by two reviewers independently.The studies were assessed according to the Juni assessment.RevMan 5.2 was used for statistical analysis.Results Seven studies with 506 patients were included,of which therapeutic intervention group contained 256 patients,the control group included 250 patients.Meta-analysis showed that compared with the control group,therapeutic communication system could reduce perioperative anxiety of cancer patients [MD=-8.00,95％CI (-8.91--7.10),P ＜0.01],improve positive perioperative coping of patients [MD=5.50,95％CI(4.05-6.95),P ＜ 0.01],reduce negative perioperative coping of patients [MD=-7.62,95％CI (-9.13--6.11),P ＜ 0.01],increase the satisfaction degree of patients [MD=0.55,95％CI (0.33-0.77),P ＜0.01],the differenccs were statistically significant.Conclusions Therapeutic communication can contribute to relieve perioperative anxiety of cancer patients,optimize their coping styles and improve the satisfaction degree of patients with nursing work.

Human tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) is a member of the Kunitz-type serine protease inhibitor family, which is divided into TFPI-1 and TFPI-2. The key function of TFPI-1 is anticoagulate, while TFPI-2 is a broad-spectrum serine protease inhibiter. Both of them are composed of three repeated Kunitz-type domains. Even though sharing some structural homology, they are quite different from each other in terms of the coding sequences, tissue origins and distribution, the functions and the mechanisms involved. These differences between TFPI-1 and TFPI-2 lead to the discrepancies in the roles they played in a variety of physiological and pathological processes. The recent progress in the related research is reviewed in this article.

Objective To explore the clinical curative effect of locking plate in elderly patients with proximal humeral fractures. Methods Seventy elderly patients with proximal humeral fractures were selected, and all patients were treated with surgical treatment. Among them, application of locking plate was in 35 cases (locking plate group), and application of ordinary steel plate was in 35 cases (ordinary steel plate group). The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, fracture healing time and curative effect between 2 groups were compared. Results The operation time, intraoperative blood loss and fracture healing time in locking plate group were significantly lower than those in ordinary steel plate group: (61.3 ± 5.6) min vs. (78.3 ± 4.2) min, (190.5 ± 11.5) ml vs. (268.5 ± 21.2) ml and (12.6 ± 1.8) weeks vs. (16.5 ± 1.5) weeks, the excellent and good rate was significantly higher than that in ordinary steel plate group: 94.29% (33/35) vs. 74.98% (26/35), and there were statistical differences (P<0.05). Conclusions The curative effect of locking plate in elderly patients with proximal humeral fractures is accurate. Locking plate can be fixed firmly, and it is conducive to early recovery after surgery.

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and prognosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) combined with ventrical septal perforation (VSP).Methods Fifty-seven AMI + VSP patients were retrospectively analyzed their clinical characteristics and outcomes who were treated in the Fourth People' s Hospital of Shenyang and the First Hospital Affiliated to China Medical University from June 2000 to May 2014.Results Of all patients,43 (75.4％) VSP occurred anterior wall AMI,and 14 (24.6％) were not.Echocardiogram show the end diastolic diameter of left ventricle was (53.7 ± 9.5) mm,left ventricle ejection fraction was (48.5 ± 11.8)％,VSP diameter was (9.8 ±7.9) mm,and 37(64.9％) were with near apex.The level of cardiactroponin I,C-reactive protein,and N terminal of B type natriuretic peptide of patients were (16.7 ± 12.9) μg/L,(99.7 ± 31.40 mg/L,(3 051.2 ± 879.7) μg/L.Total mortality was 71.9％ (41/57) in 30 days and 78.9％ (45/57) in 1 year.The mortality of operation group was 73.9％ (17/23) in 30 days and 91.3％ (21/23) in 1 year.The mortality of consecutive therapy was 64.7％ (22/34) in 30 days and 76.5％ (26/34) in 1 year.Conclusion The mortality of AMI + VSP is higher and operation is the most effective therapeutic method.

Vulnerable plaque (VP) has been widely considered as the main cause of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and cardiac death .In recent years ,invasive or non-invasive intravascular ultrasound imaging has become one of main measures for detecting VP .The present article made following overview on advantages and disadvantages of intravascular ultrasound imaging assessing VP .

BACKGROUND: Traditionally, bee venom can treat rheumatic arthritis,rheumatoid arthritis(RA) and so on, but it has strong side effects. So it has been hoped for a long time that the effective angle component could be screened from bee venom, which can be used for the treatment of arthritis perfectly than bee venom.OBJECTIVE: To investigate whether bioactive peptide from bee venom could inhibit infection of arthritis by regulating immunological function so as to probe into a new treatment for RADESIGN: Completely randomized controlled experimental trial based on experimental animalsMETHODS: A municipal key laboratory of animal biology.MATERIALS: The experiment was carried out in the Chongqing Key Laboratory of animal biology from January 2001 to May 2002. Totally 80 rats of clean grade aged 2 to 3 months old with the body mass of 180 to 200 g were provided by Animal Experiment Center of Third Military Medical University of Chinese PLA. The experimental animal certification number was SYXK1 (army) 2002 -007. The animals were divided into 3 groups: normal control group( 10 cases), arthritis group( 10 cases), bioactive peptide group(30 cases).METHODS: Adjuvant-induced arthritis animal models were used and bioactive peptide were given to the animals by muscle injection to observe the knuckle volume and knuckle index changes.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The effect of bioactive peptide from bee venom on the change of knuckle volume and knuckle index in adjuvant-induced arthritis ratsRESULTS: Ten days after injection of 0. 15 mg for each rat, the volume of the paw was (4.72 ±0. 58) mL and the knuckle index was (4.47 ±0.46) mL,which there was significant difference compared with the control group (P＜ 0. 05).CONCLUSION: P-peptide possibly has certain inhibitory effect on the development of the adjuvant-induced arthritis in Wistar rat, and will possibly be a potential therapeutic drug.

Objectives To compare the hemodynamic effects and ventricular activation sequence associated with the respective pacing of the right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) and right ventricular apex (RVA). Methods 79 patients with complete atrioventricular block (AVB) or sick sinus syndrome (SSS)to undergo permanent ventricular stimulation either at the right ventricular apex (RVA) (n = 38) or right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) (n =41) were selected. The left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF),cardiac index (CI), mitral E/A ratio and QRS duration were recorded before implantation of pacemaker and 6 or 12 months after implantation. Results There were no significant differences in CI , LVEF, E/A between RVOT and RVA pacing(P ＞0. 05). Compared with normal sinus rhythm, the QRS duration was significantly lengthened when pacing at RVOT or RVA (P ＜0. 05). RVA pacing was significantly longer than RVOT in QRS duration (P ＜ 0. 05). Conclusions There was no significant difference with the hemodynamic effect between RVOT and RVA pacing in subject with normal heart function. Compared with RVA pacing, RVOT pacing remained relatively normal ventricular activation sequence.
