5.Changes in interleukin-2, interleukin-6, interleukin-8, tumor necrosis factor and insulin-like growth factor in serum after semi-hepatectomy
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(18):-
AIM:Stress response induced by severe trauma can activate free radical, endothelial cell, and mononuclear macrophage to regulate the production and release of mediators of inflammation. In this study, we investigated the influence of semi-hepatectomy on cytokine in serum. METHODS:The experiment was performed at Clinical Laboratory of Datong Seventh People's Hospital from April to July 2006. The experimental procedure was accorded with animal ethical standards. Twenty-five healthy rabbits were selected and randomly divided into two groups. In hepatectomy group (n=20), semi-hepatectomy was performed by regular approach, following by abdominal closure when there was no active bleeding. In control group (n=5), only abdominal opening and closure was conducted. Peripheral venous blood was harvested 1 day before and 24 hours, 1, 2, 3, and 4 days after surgery (IGF) to examine the levels of cytokine in serum such as interleukin-2 (IL-2), IL-6, IL-8, tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and insulin-like growth factor by radioimmunity. RESULTS:Twenty-five rabbits were all included in final analysis. Compared with the control group, IL-2 increased 24 hours after surgery, and reduced even lower than preoperative level 1 week after surgery, but then increased gradually and approached to preoperative level 4 weeks after surgery. IL-6 and IL-8 were elevated within 24 hours after surgery, and reached the peak at 3 weeks, then began to reduce until the normal level 4 weeks after surgery. TNF decreased 24 hours after surgery, and then increased but decreased again 4 weeks after surgery. IGF increased 24 hours after surgery, reached the peak 2 weeks after surgery, and reduced to normal level 4 weeks after surgery. CONCLUSION:Hepatectomy can induce decrease in IL-2, T cell growth factor in peripheral blood, in rabbits.

7.Effects of exosomes in pathogenesis of age-related macular degeneration
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2017;35(1):83-86
Exosomes are nanometer membranous vesicles which can be distributed in a variety of biological fluids, including peripheral blood, urine, saliva and so on.Currently, the multi-step differential centrifugation is a efficient method which can be used to isolate exosomes.Exosomes are released by all types of cells.Exosomes can carry proteins and RNAs from derived cells, involve in exchange of information between cells, and play an important role in physiological and pathological processes of immunoregulation and inflammatory responses.Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the leading indication of severe visual impairment in adults over 50 years old.The exact etiology of AMD is still unknown, and its pathogenesis may involve various factors.New studies showed that exosomes secreted by retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells may be associated with AMD.The elevated levels of protein in exosomes from RPE,such as αB-crystalline,are associated with druse in AMD.Stress-altered exosomes proteins were found involving in regulation of apoptosis and survival of RPE.RPE cells membrane complement regulators,CD46 and CD59,could contribute to lesion formation in the outer retina and Bruch's membrane during the development of AMD.Further, exosomes from RPE cells may be associated with the genesis of choroidal angiogenesis. There remain thorough studies to be conducted, which would reveal new approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of AMD in the future.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2013;37(6):464-465
OBJECTIVETo observe the lower gastrointestinal mesenchymal tumors CT virtual endoscopy and pathology, and to explore its possible mechanism.
METHODSSelect 80 patients suspected colon gastroenterology treat in the hospital gastroenterology department, randomly divided into experimental group and control group, 40 cases in experimental group were given CT virtual endoscopy and pathological check, the control group received conventional colonoscopy and pathological check, and all the results compared with the pathological results.
RESULTSCompared with the pathological test results, consistent rate with the experimental group reached 94.73%, the same rate was 92.85% in control group. The difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONSCT virtual endoscopy can quickly image and draw detailed information, and can improve the sensitivity and specificity of cancer diagnosis greatly. Clinically, CT virtual endoscopy have the same function as colonoscopy, can replace colonoscopy, can be important complement of electronic colonoscopy by those who cannot tolerate electronic colonoscopy or have contraindications. Its value is worth taking a step forward in-depth study.

9.Roles of microRNA in tumor angiogenesis-relative signaling pathways
Journal of International Oncology 2011;38(12):888-891
MicroRNAs(miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs of 20-24nt(about 22nt) in length that mediate gene expression at the post-transcriptional level by degrading or repressing target messenger RNAs (mRNAs).Angiogenesis plays an important role in occurrence and development of cancers which involves multiple signaling pathways.miRNAs can regulate the signaling pathways in which their target genes are involved. Therefore,to study the miRNAs regulation of tumor angiogenesis slgnaling pathways will contribute to cancer diagnosis and treatment.
10.The Clinical Analysis of Serum Level of Uric Acid in 80 Hemodialysis Patients
Journal of Kunming Medical University 2013;(8):110-113
Objective To investigate the effect of serum uric acid (UA) on cardiovascular diseases in hemodialysis patients. Methods The serum level of uric acid and other laboratory indexes of 80 hemodialysis patients were detected, and the left ventricular mass index (LVMI) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were detected by ultrasonic cardiography examination. Results According to the serum level of UA, the hemodialysis patients were divided into 2 groups:the group with high serum level of UA and the group with normal serum level of UA. There were significant differences (P<0.05) in hypertension history, the period of hypertension history, systolic blood pressure before hemodialysis between the two groups. The serum levels of UA,creatinine, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, C-reactive protein, brain natriuretic peptide and LVMI were significantly higher, while the serum levels of albumin,pre-albumin,high density lipoprotein cholesterol, LVEF were lower in the group with high serum level of UA than those in the group with normal high serum level of UA (P<0.05) . Furthermore, the serum levels of UA in 80 patients was positively correlated to systolic blood pressure before hemodialysis, serum creatinine, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, C-reactive protein, brain natriuretic peptide, and LVMI (P<0.05), while it was negatively correlated to serum albumin, pre-albumin, high density lipoprotein cholesterol and LVEF (P<0.05) . Conclusion High serum level of uric acid is associated with the onset of cardiovascular diseases in hemodialysis patients.
