1.Efficacy of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery in the treatment of lung cancer

Objective To compare the efficacy of video -assisted thoracoscopic surgery and open -thoracot-omy in the treatment of lung cancer.Methods 77 patients with lung cancer were chose as study objects,all the patients were divided into two groups,43 cases of video -assisted thoracoscopic surgery group (VATS)and 34 cases of open -thoracotomy group (OT)The operative time,blood loss,postoperative chest tube indwelling time and hospi-tal stay and postoperative complication rate were compared.The VAS postoperative 1d,3d,5d after operation were calculated,and the serum CRP preoperative and postoperative 1d,postoperative 5d were detected.Results The oper-ative time,postoperative chest tube indwelling time,hospital stay,the blood loss,the complication rate in VATS group and OT group were (134 ±52)min and (167 ±45)min,(2.50 ±0.30)d and (4.68 ±0.66)d,(4.77 ±0.54)d and (7.20 ±0.68)d,103 ±26)mL and (248 ±43)mL,11.63% and 38.24%,the differences were statistically signifi-cant (t =3.563,3.725,9.621,3.402 and χ2 =7.504,all P <0.05).The VAS postoperative 1d,3d in VATS group and OT group were (6.22 ±0.82)score and (8.13 ±0.72)score,(4.46 ±0.48)score and (6.31 ±0.54)score,the differences were statistically significant,t =3.927,3.742,all P <0.05;the serum CRP after 1d,5d postoperative in VATS group and OT group were (38.32 ±9.59)μg/L and (58.43 ±10.62)μg/L,(17.71 ±5.42)μg/L and (36.65 ±8.25)μg/L,which were all higher than those of before surgery,but the serum CRP after 1d,5d postopera-tive in VATS group were lower than those of OT group,the differences were statistically significant(t =5.541,6.662, all P <0.05).Conclusion VATS lobectomy is a trauma,quicker recovery,less postoperative pain surgical methods, and can reduce postoperative acute phase reaction,which should be recommended as a treatment for lung cancer.

5.Clinical Study of CPID by the Treatment of Clearing away Heat-Removing Damp & Promoting the Blood Circulation-Resolving Mass

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of CPID by the treatment of clearing away heat-removing damp & promoting the blood circulation-resolving mass. Method Clinical evaluations were made on 60 patients suffering from CPID who were randomly divided into two groups averagely. Treatment group were given pelvic inflammatory granule and control group were treated with Fule granule. All patients were evaluated at syndrome integrals, physical sign integrals and B ultrasonography. Result There was significant statistical difference on integrated therapeutic effects, the score of syndrome integrals and physical sign integrals between two groups. Ultrasonic examination results of uterus boundary slur were improved in treatment group, and had significant statistical difference compared with control group. Conclusions The treatment of clearing away heat-removing damp & prmoting the blood circulation-resolving mass is effective in treating CPID.
6.Radiofrequency ablation for the treatment of recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma:analysis of the therapeutic results and prognostic factors

Based on both domestic and abroad research results concerning the local therapeutic efficacy, influence factors, survival time and prognosis of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in treating recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), this paper aims to make a review of medical literatures about RFA treatment of recurrent HCC that were published in Chinese and in English during the period from 2005 to 2014, and to analyze the related factors that may influence the local therapeutic efficacy and survival rate. The results indicate that the recurrent tumor size, tumor number, recurrence interval, serum alpha fetoprotein (AFP) level, serum prothrombin, etc. are important factors that will affect the therapeutic efficacy of recurrent HCC. At the same time, the results point out that the study of imaging predictors can help suggest the different recurrent types, which is very useful in making individualized follow-up strategy and in monitoring tumor recurrence. Local treatment, with RFA being the main method, together with comprehensive therapies, including other new technologies and new drugs, will improve the current clinical situation in treating recurrent HCC.

Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics constitute the foundation of modern pharmacology. PK/PD modeling is to profile the time process of pharmacological effects after a certain dosage is given. Investigating the relationship between PK and PD is helpful not only in instructing the clinical application, but also in the evaluation of new drugs and exploitation of new preparations etc. The present situation concerning the application of PK/PD modeling in the pharmacology,toxicology and development of new medicine is reviewed.

9.New progress in the surgical treatment of low rectal cancer

Rectal cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in China,and the incidence rate is rising year by year.Comprehensive treatment based on surgical operation is the major treatment of low rectal cancer.The treatment concept requires not only radical resection of tumor,but also preservation of the anal and urogenital function,to improve the quality of patients' life.By improving the accuracy of preoperative staging of rectal cancer,neoadjuvant therapy,and following the principle of total mesorectal excision,patients can benefit in terms of increased resection rate,decreased operation complication incidence,increased sphincter preservation,decreased local recurrence and increased overall survival rate.With the development of medical technology,minimally invasive surgery of low rectal cancer has been developed rapidly.In this paper,new progress in the surgical treatment of low rectal cancer will be reviewed.
10.Explorations on cultivating abilities of oral English for academic purposes for medical under-graduates

The development of international academic exchanges has brought a growing de-mand for college English teaching. English for academic purposes (EAP) is playing an increasingly important role in students' study and research. In this essay, a conclusion of college English curricu-lum in the Third Military Medical University was introduced with the theoretic and practical back-ground of oral English for academic purposes (OEAP) teaching. The training strategies of OEAP abilities were discussed from multi-level teaching, personalized teaching and academic forums. The experience of OEAP training was summarized and reflected through teaching practice.
