The different types of penis thickening hydraulic filling materials have the advantage and disadvantage. The natural biological tissue material for own organization is convenient,avirulent,nonirritant,with good histocompatibility,without rejection,but has the transplant fat absorption,margin scar at donor site,and poor long-term appearance. Synthesized biological material silica gel phantom presented strong plasticity,could not affect by organism metabolism,absorption and degeneration,but had shortcomings,such as the feeling of foreign body,and skin infection. Varicosity polytetrafluoroethylene presented good histocompatibility,soft material,easy to be shaping,but high cost. The polyacrylamide hydrogel and the polymethyl acrylic acid methyl ester presented good histocompatibility,could not cause the immune response,easy to inject,but the shortcoming was easy to form the induration,but if had the complication to be very difficult to take out. Tissue engineered material was presently the key point in penis thickening research,but its research still occupied the start stage. The most reports were only at the laboratory stage. It requires some times for domestic application. This study summarized the penis thickening hydraulic filling materials,and analyzed the application of various filling materials in penis thickening technique.

Traditional medical education focus on expository teaching,rote learning,and apprenticeship training for clinical skill.Although these teaching approaches can be beneficial for imparting knowledge and clinical skill,they appear to be insufficient for team cooperation,knowledge integration,and standard training.Biomedical simulation teaching is a new method for imparting knowledge,and has achieved good results in current medical education.This paper aims to introduce the definition and characteristic of biomedical simulation,and the application and significance of biomedical simulation in ultrasound teaching are also outlined and discussed.

Objective To investigate the change in 5-hydroxytryptomine (5-HT) content in spinal dorsal horn in a rat model of tibial bone cancer pain (BCP). Methods Sixty female SD rats weighing 160-180 g were randomly divided into 3 groups ( n = 20 each): control group (group C), sham operation group (group S) and BCP group. BCP was induced by intra-tibial inoculation of 10 μl Walker 256 breast cancer cell suspension in group BCP, while group S received intra-tibial inoculation of 10 μl D-hank solution. Paw withdrawal threshold to mechanical stimulation with yon Frey filaments (MWT) was measured 1 d before (baseline) and at 3, 5, 7, 9, 11,14, 16, 18 and 21 d after breast cancer cell inoculation. At 1 d before and 7, 14 and 21 d after breast cancer cell inoculation, four animals in each group were sacrificed after measurement of MWT. Their lumber segments of the spinal cord were removed for assay of 5-HT content in spinal dorsal horn using HPLC with fluorescence detector.HE staining was used to detect the damage to the tibia. Correlation between the 5-HT content and MWT was analyzed. Results MWT was significantly decreased after breast cancer cell inoculation in group BCP ( P ＜ 0.05).Microscopic examination showed serious bone destruction of tibia at the injection site in group BCP, while no bone destruction was found in groups C and S. 5-HT content in spinal dorsal horn was significantly higher in group BCP than in groups C and S (P ＜ 0.05). There was strong negative linear correlation between 5-HT content in spinal dorsal horn and MWT ( r = - 0.973, P ＜ 0.05 ). Conclusion The 5- HT content in spinal dorsal horn is significantly increased in rats with tibial BCP and is involved in the development of BCP.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of oxycodone in preventing catheter-related bladder discomfort (CRBD) during recovery from anesthesia in the patients undergoing general anesthesia.Methods A total of 155 male patients, aged 18-60 yr, weighing 46-75 kg, of American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status Ⅰ or Ⅱ , scheduled for elective spinal surgery performed under general anesthesia, were randomly divided into 3 groups: control group (group C, n =52), oxycodone group (group O, n=51), and sufentanil group (group S, n=52).After induction of anesthesia, the patients were tracheally intubated and mechanically ventilated.At 15 min before the end of surgery, oxycodone 0.07 mg/kg was injected intravenously in group O, sufentanil 0.10 μg/kg was injected intravenously in group S, and the equal volume of normal saline was given in group C.The emergence time and extubation time were recorded.Riker sedation-agitation scale (SAS) score was recorded at 5, 15 and 30 min, and 1, 2 and 4 h after extubation (T1-6).The occurrence and severity of CRBD within 4 h after surgery, and occurrence of nausea and vomiting and respiratory depression were observed and recorded.Results Compared with group C, the SAS score at T1-4 and incidence and severity of CRBD were significantly decreased, and the emergence time and extubation time were prolonged in group S, and the SAS score at T1-6 and incidence and severity of CRBD were significantly decreased (P＜0.05) , and no significant change was found in emergence time and extubation time in group O (P＞0.05).Compared with the group S, the SAS score at T1-4 was significantly increased, the SAS score at T5-6 and incidence and severity of CRBD were decreased, and the emergence time and extubation time were shortened in group O (P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of nausea and vomiting and respiratory depression between the three groups (P＞0.05).Conclusion Oxycodone 0.07 mg/kg injected intravenously at 15 min before the end of surgery can prevent the occurrence of CRBD during recovery from anesthesia in the patients undergoing general anesthesia.

Objective To detect the changes of G protein-coupled inwardly rectifying potassium channels (GIRK)expression in allergic asthma model and identify the regulatory factors.Methods The E3 rat asthma models were induced by challenge with ovalbumin 14 days after immunization with ovalbumin and aluminium adjuvant.The asthma models were evaluated based on changes in lung pathomorphology and total IgE levels.The levels of GIRK1-4 mRNA and protein were detected using real time-PCR and Western blot.The anatomic sites where GIRK was expressed dominantly in the lung were identified using immunohistological staining.To identify the effects of IL-4 on the expressions of GIRK channels,GIRK 1 -4 mRNA and protein in IL-4 stimulated bronchial epithelial cell line A549 were detected by RT-PCR and Western blot.Results The levels of GIRK1-4 mRNA and protein decreased significantly in the lung in asthmatic E3 rats.The results of immunohistological staining showed that GIRK channels were dominantly expressed in airway epithelia in the lung.The levels of GIRK 1-4 mRNA and protein were down-regulated in time-and dose-dependent manners in IL-4 treated A549.Conclusion IL-4 down-regulates the expression levels of GIRK subunits in bronchial epithelia during allergic asthma.

Cordyceps sinensis is an expensive and tonic-valuable famous herb in China. Due to a narrow growing distribution, a low parasitic rate and a harsh living environmental condition, its wild recourse is not abundant. In re-cent years, with the improvement of living standards, people’s awareness of health care has increased strongly. That is because of people’s over-excavation need;and the natural resources are becoming increasing scarcity. In order to meet the demand for Cordyceps, domestic researchers conducted vigorous studies. Since 1987, four or five cul-tured Cordyceps species have been developed, namely fermented Cordyceps sinensis. Through subsequent unceasing research, they were put into a lot of production, bringing a certain benefits for income and society. Currently, there are four commercial brands on the market. They are Bailing, Jinshuibao, Xinganbao and Ningxinbao. This paper summarized the studies of its chemical compositions and clinical applications on fermented Cordyceps militaris in the recent five years. It will let scholars understand its value of the cultured Cordyceps militaris more comprehen-sively and supply more information for scholars in its further research.

OBJECTIVE:To optimize the extraction technology for organic acids in Crataegi fructus. METHODS:Based on sin-gle factor test,using liquid-solid ratio,extraction time and ethanol volume fraction as independent variables,extraction yield of or-ganic acids as dependent variable,central composite design-response surface method was used to optimize the extraction technology of organic acids in Crataegi fructus. RESULTS:The optimal extraction technology was as follow as liquid-solid ratio of 18.5:1, adding 75% ethanol,reflux extraction twice,2.0 h each time. Average extraction yield of organic acids in verification test was 5.22%(RSD=2.70%,n=3),with 1.75% relative error of the predicted value(5.13%). CONCLUSIONS:Optimized extraction technology for organic acids in Crataegi fructus is simple,with good reproducibility and predictability.

Objective: To investigate the prevalence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) and influencing factors among vegetable greenhouse workers, so as to provide insights into relevant intervention measurements. Methods: Workers from 4 vegetable greenhouse villages were sampled in the suburbs of Xining City using a cluster sampling method from March to April 2023. Participants' demographic information, characteristics of greenhouse operation and prevalence of WMSDs were collected using questionnaire surveys. Factors affecting the prevalence of WMSDs among vegetable greenhouse workers were identified using a multivariable logistic regression model. Results: A total of 550 questionnaires were distributed, and 518 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective response rate of 94.18%. There were 264 males (50.97%) and 254 females (49.03%), and 269 participants (51.93%) aged 50 years and older. The prevalence of WMSDs among vegetable greenhouse workers was 40.93% (212 cases). Waist, neck and back were mainly affected, with 185 (35.71%), 157 (30.31%), and 153 (29.54%) cases, respectively. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that workers who smoke (OR=2.406, 95%CI: 1.133-5.110), worked 8 hours and longer per day (OR=6.618, 95%CI: 3.492-12.542) and lift heavy loads of about 20 kg (OR=1.770, 95%CI: 1.013-3.092) had a higher risk of WMSDs. Conclusions WMSDs occurred in 40.93% of vegetable greenhouse workers in Xining City, and waist, neck and back were mainly affected. Smoking, working duration and lifting heavy loads may influence the prevalence of WMSDs among vegetable greenhouse workers in Xining City.

Descending nociceptive modulation from the supraspinal structures plays an important role in cancer-induced bone pain (CIBP). Rostral ventromedial medulla (RVM) is a critical component of descending nociceptive facilitation circuitry, but so far the mechanisms are poorly known. In this study, we investigated the role of RVM glial activation in the descending nociceptive facilitation circuitry in a CIBP rat model. CIBP rats showed significant activation of microglia and astrocytes, and also up-regulation of phosphorylated p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (p38 MAPK) and pro-inflammatory mediators released by glial cells (IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α and brain-derived neurotrophic factor) in the RVM. Stereotaxic microinjection of the glial inhibitors (minocycline and fluorocitrate) into CIBP rats' RVM could reverse the glial activation and significantly attenuate mechanical allodynia in a time-dependent manner. RVM microinjection of p38 MAPK inhibitor (SB203580) abolished the activation of microglia, reversed the associated up-regulation of pro-inflammatory mediators and significantly attenuated mechanical allodynia. Taken together, these results suggest that RVM glial activation is involved in the pathogenesis of CIBP. RVM microglial p38 MAPK signaling pathway is activated and leads to the release of downstream pro-inflammatory mediators, which contribute to the descending facilitation of CIBP.

Objective To construct lentivirus vector expressing antigene RNA and ferritin gene.Methods Intermediate plasmid pGC-FU-HF was constructed by transfecting lentivirus vector pGC-FU with heavy chain ferritin subunit gene.The target plasmid pGC-agRNA-HF was subsequently constructed by transfecting the intermediate plasmid with β-arrestin 2 antigene RNA.The NG108-15 cells were transfected with the target plasmid.The titre of lentivirus vector was measured by RT-PCR.The expression of antigene RNA and ferritin gene was determined by Western blot and RT-PCR.Results Lentivirus vector was successfully transfected with antigene RNA and ferritin gene.The titre of lentivirus vector was 2.00 × 109 TU/ml.The expression of β-arrestin2 protein was down-regulated and the expression of ferritin protein up-regulated in the NG108-15 cells after being transfected with the lentivirus vector.Conclusion Lentivirus vector expressing antigene RNA and ferritin gene has been successfully constructed.
