Conclusion: Acupuncture plus tuina can alleviate the patients' condition in a faster and better way.
6.Bioabsorbable pins improve bone healing of juvenile unstable osteochondritis dissecans
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2016;20(8):1133-1139
BACKGROUND: At present, there are different strategies for treating unsteable osteochondritis dissecans of the knee joint in adolescents, but their therapeutic effects are not ideal. OBJECTIVE: To assess the therapeutic effect of bioabsorbable pin fixation on functional recovery and fracture healing in juvenile unstable osteochondritis dissecans through Lysholm, IKDC, Hughston scoring and imaging examination. METHODS: Eighteen patients with unstable osteochondritis dissecans were enrol ed. Under arthroscopy, a smal incision was localized and cut fol owed by bioabsorbable pin fixation. The average fol ow-up period was 2.7 years. Functional recovery of the affected limbs after fixation was assessed by using Lysholm, IKDC and Hughston scoring. X-ray examination was used to observe fracture healing. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: At 6 months after fixation, the Lysholm and IKDC scores were improved significantly as compared with those before operation and maintained til the last fol owing up. There were 15 patients scored as excel ent, 2 as good and 1 as poor. X-ray films also showed that there were 17 cases of fracture healing (94% healing rate). The average fracture healing time was 2.9 months. These findings indicate that the bioabsorbable pins can improve the bone healing in juvenile unstable osteochondritis dissecans.
7.Expressions of SOCS3 and IL-6 in Triple-negative Breast Cancer and Their Chinical Significance
Acta Medicinae Universitatis Scientiae et Technologiae Huazhong 2015;(1):82-86
Objective To investigate the expressions of SOCS3 and IL‐6 in triple‐negative breast cancer(TNBC)and their clinical significance. Methods The expressions of SOCS3 and IL‐6 in TNBC and normal breast cells were detected by Western blot and fluorescence quantitative PCR.Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect their expressions in 84 TNBCs ,33 breast fibromas and 11 normal breast tissues. The correlation of their expressions in TNBC and the relationship between their expressions and clinical pathological parameters were analyzed as well. Results SOCS3 was not expressed or down‐expressed in TNBC cell lines while IL‐6 was over‐expressed. The positive rate of SOCS3 protein was 32.1% in TNBCs ,63.6% in breast fi‐bromas(P<0.01)and 72.7% in normal breast tissues (P< 0.01);and that of IL‐6 protein was 72.6% in TNBCs ,30.3% in breast fibromas(P< 0.01)and 27.3% in normal breast tissues (P< 0.01).Moreover ,a significant negative correlation was found between the expression of SOCS3 and that of IL‐6 in TNBC(rs = -0.590 ,P<0.01). The expressions of SOCS3 and IL‐6 were markedly associated with tumor size ,lymph node metastasis ,clinical stages and expressions of Ki‐67 and p53(P<0.05) , but not with age ,histological grades or menopausal status(P>0.05).Conclusion The expressions of SOCS3 and IL‐6 are asso‐ciated with the development of TNBC ,suggesting that SOCS3 and IL‐6 can serve as biological markers for evaluating the prog‐nosis ,and therapeutic targets of T NBC.

9.MR Diagnosis of Glomus Jugulare Tumor
Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(09):-
Objective To evaluate the value of MR in the diagnosis of glomus jugulare tumors. Methods 15 cases (8 in the right and 7 in the left-side) of glomus jugulare tumors were retrospectively analysed, with the emphasis on the locations, MR signal intensities andthe invading appearances to the surrounding structures of tumors. Results The tumors demonstrated as oval or irregular shape. Thesurrounding bones around the jugular fossa were destroyed in 12 masses. The signal intensity of the tumors was heterogeneous and with marked “salt and pepper”appearance in 12 masses(12/15) on plain MR imaging. The masses(13/13)were all markedly enhanced after the injection of Gd-DTPA, in which 10 of them presented with “salt and pepper”appearance. MR angiography was performed in 9 cases, theinternal carotid artery and the internal jugular vein were all displaced and/or encompassed. Conclusion Glomus jugulare tumor can becorrectly diagnosed according to the combination of MR imaging features with the typical localization,“salt and pepper” appearance and bone erosion in the skull base.
