1.Mechanisms of stem cells involved in gastric cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(12):928-930
Researches indicate that gastric carcinoma occurs where gastric stem cells settle down.Stem cells may play an important role in formative process of gastric carcinoma. Researches on relationship between stem cells and gastric stem cells, tumor stem cells and stomach neoplasms, bone marrow stem cells and stomach neoplasms indicate that gastric carcinoma may be a kind of stem cell diseases.
2.Application of reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification technology in the field of oncology
Cancer Research and Clinic 2013;25(7):493-495
Reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification(RT-LAMP)is a novel nucleic acid amplification technique which has been mainly used in a variety of viruses and other pathogens of gene detection.Compared with reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR),the RT-LAMP has advantages of reaction simplicity,rapidly,cost-effective,detection sensitivity and specificity.Nowadays,RT-LAMP technology is gradually used in various medical fields, but it is still a new method especially in cancer diagnosis of tumor gene. The article reviews the application of the RT-LAMP technology in the cancer
3.Molecular mechanism of cisplatin resistance in ovarian cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2012;39(3):234-236
Chemotherapy resistance is a great obstacle for effective treatment of ovarian cancer.Drug resistance of ovarian cancer is the results of combined action of multi- factors.Further study of drug resistancerelated genes can provide new ideas for reversing drug resistance fundamentally.
4.The tests and correlation analysis of HBV-DNA and hepatic fibrosis indicators in chronic hepatitis B patients
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2014;(17):2311-2312
Objective To explore the correlation between serum HBV-DNA content and hepatic fibrosis indicators in hchronic epatitis B patients. Methods Serum HBV-DNA content was determined by using real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR and he-patic fibrosis indicators including hyaluronic acid, laminin, procollagen Ⅲ,and collagen Ⅳ which were determined by using chemilu-minescence.Results The logarithm value of serum HBV-DNA content of the 110 hepatitis B patients was 5.32±1.37.Serum hyal-uronic acid concentration was (197.81 ±85.37)mg/mL;procollagen Ⅲ concentration was (142.66 ±30.28)μg/mL.Collagen Ⅳconcentration was (90.34 ±20.53)μg/mL.Laminin was (143.96 ±31.79 )μg/mL.All these indicators were significantly higher than the control group (P <0.01).But there were no significant linear correlation between serum HBV-DNA content and the four hepatic fibrosis indicators(P >0.05).Conclusion The hepatic fibrosis indicators increased significantly in hepatitis B patients but there were no significant correlations between serum HBV-DNA content and the hepatic fibrosis indicators.
5.Expressions of Toll-like receptor 3, 7 and 9 in peripheral blood lymphocytes from patients with pityriasis rosea
Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2012;45(2):130-132
ObjectiveTo explore the roles of Toll-like receptor (TLR) 3,7 and 9 in the pathogenesis of pityriasis rosea.MethodsThis study recruited 40 patients with pityriasis rosea and 40 normal human controls.Reverse transcription-PCR was carried out to detect the expressions of TLR3,7 and 9 in peripheral blood lymphocytes of these subjects.ResultsThe mRNA expressions of TLR3,7 and 9 in peripheral blood lymphocytes were significantly higher in patients with pityriasis rosea than in the normal human controls (Z =4.239,3.745,2.658,all P < 0.05).There was a positive correlation between the expression of TLR3 and TLR7(r =0.574,P < 0.01 ) as well as between that of TLR3 and TLR9 (r =0.551,P < 0.01 ) in the patients, while there was no correlation between TLR7 and TLR9 expression in the patients or between the expressions of TLR3,TLR7 and TLR9 in the controls.ConclusionVirus infection might be involved in the pathogenesis of pityriasis rosea via TLR pathways.
6.Effect of Astragalus membranaceus and Angelica sinensis on the hemodynamics of restenosis of blood vessel in rat
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(08):-
Objective To investigate the effects of Astragalus membranaceus and Angelica sinensis on the hemodynamics and pathological features of arterial wall in restenosis of blood vessel in rats in order to find the potential mechanism of the effect of Astragalus membranaceus and Angelica sinensis in preventing restenosis after ablation of intima. Method Thirty SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups (6 each):control group (C),model group (M),Astragalus membranaceus treatment group (H),Angelica sinensis treatment group (D),and combined Astragalus membranaceus with Angelica sinensis treatment group (HD). The restenosis model was reproduced by denuding rat's aorta endothelium with balloon catheter in all the groups except group C. After intramuscular injection of Astragalus membranaceus 0.42ml/(kg?d) in group H,Angelica sinensis 0.21ml/(kg?d) in group D,and Astragalus membranaceus 0.42ml/(kg?d) together with Angelica sinensis 0.21ml/(kg?d) in group HD for 21 days, the changes in hemodynamics and the pathological features of arterial wall were observed in all the groups. Result Compared with rats of group C,in which the intima was smooth and the smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) in media were orderly arranged, the intimal thickness of aorta, pulsatile index (PI) and resistance index (RI) increased, while the diameter of lumen, blood velocity decreased remarkably in group M. Compared with the rats in group M,the extent of hyperplasia and thickness was notably reduced,RI and PI were lower while blood velocity was lowered in group H,D and HD after being treated for 21 days. Conclusion Hyperplasia induced by remaval of endothelial cells may be reduced and blood circulation may be improved to different extents by individually or simultaneously use of Astragalus membranaceus and Angelica sinensis, thus preventing restenosis of the aorta after removal of its intima.
7.An Experimental Study on the Biocompability of Porcelain Compounded With Nanostructured Material
Journal of China Medical University 2001;30(2):105-107
Objective: Our aim was to evaluate the biocompability of porcelain compounded with nanostructured material. Methods:The proliferation of the NIH3T3 cells were investigated using a tetrazolium-based colorimetric assay(MTT assay).Maceration extract of four tested materials were added into culture plate .The samples were tested with ultraviolet spectrophotometer in 490 wavelength at 1,3,5,7 days after the addition of extract. Morphology of these cells was also observed with phase-contrast microscope. Results: There was no obvious difference among three kinds of prosthetic materials in the optical absorbance and the cells growing in the extract showed normal morphology. Conclusion: The toxicity graduation of the porcelain compounded with nanostructured material is 0. This material has a good biocompability and can be used clinically.
10.Beneficial pharmacodynamic interaction between Chinese medicine and Western medicine.
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2015;35(4):488-491
Useful pharmacodynamic changes occur when some Chinese medicine are used together with some Western medicine, namely enhanced curative effect, lowered adverse reactions, reduced dosages, shortened treatment courses, enlarged indications scope, improved compliance of treatment and rational medication, which could be explored to provide scientific bases for further improving diagnosis and treatment levels and rational use of drugs.
