Objective To evaluate the effect of single hand pipe method on venous indwelling needle puncture. Methods Literature about the impact of single hand pipe method on venous indwelling needle puncture was retrieved from digital databases of PubMed, Medline, EMbase, The Cochrane Library, SinoMed, VIP database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI), and WanFang Data. The quality of literature was evaluated by the Cochrane Handbook (5.1.0). The Meta data was analyzed by RevMan 5.3. Results Ten random control trials were included . Ten studies indicated that single hand pipe method increased success rate of puncture[related to the risk(RR)=1.16, 95%confidence interval(CI) 1.11-1.22]. And, it decreased the complication rate (3 studies) (RR=0.32, 95%CI 0.13-0.79) and pain rate(2 studies) (RR=0.25, 95%CI 0.13-0.47) as well as shorten the time of tube(2 studies) (WMD:-1.68, 95%CI-2.44--0.93). Conclusions Single hand pipe method can improve a puncture success rate and reduce complications and pain rate and shorten the time of tube, so that get more time to rescue the patient, and improve the level of the working efficiency and nursing for the nursing staff. In addition, to some extent, save manpower. It is worth being popularized.

Objective To investigate the effect of high altitude aviation on the pressure and diameter of the trachea cannula cuff after injecting air or water. Methods In the circumstance 5 km height and 795 hPa cabin pressure, the air injected cuffs were divided into two groups, one was under the ground circumstance, the other was in the high altitude aviation environment. The volumes of injected air were 5 ml, 7 ml, 9 ml, 11 ml, 13 ml, 15 ml, 17 ml, and the cuff pressure and its diameter were measured. The water injected cuffs were also divided into two groups of ground and high altitude aviation environment. The volumes of injected water were 10 ml, 12 ml, 14 ml, 15 ml, 16 ml, and the cuff pressure and its diameter were measured. The results were compared between the ground circumstance and high altitude aviation environment. Results The diameter of injection air group versus under the ground circumstance group had the statistical significance (t=5.000-9.449, P<0.05), when the injection air was larger than 15 ml, the pressure effect had statistical significance (t=5.000, 8.000, P<0.05). Water injection group had not statistically significant. Different water volume injection had no effect on pressure and diameter (P>0.05), while different air volume injection had significant effect on pressure and diameter (F=5.132, 5.980, P<0.01). When the water volume was 10 ml, the cuff pressure was (24.00±4.62) cmH2O (1 cmH2O=0.098 kPa) , which was appropriate to the range of cuff pressure (20-30 cmH2O). Conclusions In high altitude aviation environment the trachea cannula cuff should adopt water injection, and the best water volume is about 10 ml.

Objective To study changes in ACE, LDH and AKP in BALF and blood after rapid decompression in rabbits. Methods Thirty healthy New-Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into low decompression group and rapid decompression group. The respective activity of ACE, LDH and AKP in BALF and blood of rabbits was measured. Results Various degrees of increase in activity of ACE, LDH and AKP in BALF were observed after rapid decompression. Conclusion The simultaneous enhancement of activity of these enzymes suggest that there was injury to the lung consistent with the degree of injury after rapid decompression.

OBJECTIVE To study the measures of strengthening the nursing management in the nursing department to prevent and control nosocomial infection.METHODS Establishing nosocomial infection management organization;staff training;modifying the related rules and regulations;setting up the supervision and inspection system;and academic research of nosocomial infection were taken.RESULTS All nurses consciously implemented the rules.The systems of nosocomial infection control had developed and standardized and the rate of nosocomial infection have decreased.CONCLUSIONS Strengthening the nursing management in the nursing department could effectively prevent and control nosocomial infection.

Objective To investigate the effects of artesunate (Art) on cell proliferation, apoptosis, nuclear factor (NF)-κB and monocyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP-1) expressions induced by high glucose in rat renal mesangial cells (HBZY-1), and the mechanism thereof. Methods HBZY-1 cells were cultured and divided into normal glucose group (5.6 mmol/L), high glucose group (25 mmol/L) and high glucose with different concentrations of Art (10 mg/L, 20 mg/L, 30 mg/L) groups. MTT assay was used to detect the cell proliferation after 48 h. The apoptotic rate was evaluated by flow cytometry with Annexin V-FITC/PI double stains. The protein levels of NF-κB and MCP-1 in the cell culture supernatant were determined using ELISA. Results High glucose induced apoptosis and proliferation in HBZY-1 cells, and the expressions of NF-κB and MCP-1 in the supernatant were also increased (P<0.05). After treatment with Art, the proliferation was obviously abolished, and the apoptosis was increased, and the expressions of NF-κB and MCP-1 in the supernatant were decreased in HBZY-1 cells. The effects of Art showed a dose-dependent manner (P<0.05). Conclusion Artesunate treatment can reverse the effect of high glucose in HBZY-1 cells in a dose-dependent manner, which may provide a new therapeutic strategy for diabetic nephropathy.

Objective To observe the change of gastric mucosal-arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide gap [p(g-a)(CO2)] in septic shock rabbit.Methods Sixteen anesthetized and mechanically ventilated rabbit were randomly assigned to 2 groups:shock group(n=8) and control group(n=8).The rabbit in shock group were challenged with intravenous injection of 2 mg/kg Lipopolysaccharides from Escherichia coli.The rabbit in control group were intravenous injection of normal saline solution.Mean arterial pressure(MAP) and heart rate were continuously recorded by multichannel physiologic recorder.Cardiac index(CI) and superior mesenteric blood flow index(SMBFI) were continuously monitored by doppler flowmeter.Gastric mucosal partial pressure of carbon dioxide [pg(CO2)] was evaluated by gas tonometry every 10 min.Arterial and venous blood gas analysis,hemoglobin,and lactate levels were measured every 1 hour.Results The parameters remained stable in control group,but the parameters changed significantly in shock group.Compared with baseline levels,2 hours after Lipopolysaccharides infusion in shock group,MAP decreased from(78?5) mmHg to(50?2) mmHg(1 mmHg=0.133 kPa)(F=145.3 P

Objective To investigate the symptoms on depression in patients with viral hepatitis. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted among the patients with viral hepatitis in infectious diseases Hospital of Taiyuan. The questionnaire included a Eysenck Personality Questionnaire, self-rating depression scale (SDS) , and a self-designed one related to information regarding general conditions of the disease and social support. Results (1)Depression symptom prevalence rate among chronic viral hepatitis patients was 54.7% (116/212). (2) Factors as age, occupation, education, confirmed time, number of recurrence and anti-virus treatment, self-confidence on recovery, satisfaction on the surrounding environment etc. that might be associated with depression. (3) The severity of depression was significantly negative correlation with social support scores, objective support scores, subjective support scores (r=-0.262, P=0.000;r=-0.228, P=0.001 ; r=-0.270, P=0.000). (4) There was positive correlation noticed between severity of the depressive disorder and Eysenck Personality two dimensions scores, while the scores of introversion and extroversion scores were negatively correlated (r=-0.330, P=0.000) but positively correlated to the emotional stability scores (r=0.309, P=0.000). Conclusion (1) Patients with hepatitis showed symptoms of depression to a certain degree. (2) Factors as age, occupation, education, economic situation, confirmed time of diagnosis, number of recurrence and anti-virus treatments, confidence on recovery, satisfaction on the surrounding environment might be associated with symptoms of depression. Aim To ascertain whether defibrase has the protective effect against reperfusion injury after cerebral ischemia.Methods 70 renovascular hypertensive rats(RHR) were randomly divided into defibrase group, control group and sham-operated group.Reversible middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) models were produced by the modified. Longa's method,and reperfusion was begun 2 hours after occlusion.Rats in the defibrase group were given defibrase 10 U?kg-1 body weight via femonal intraveneous injection, and in the control group with the same amount of saline. The brain pieces were processed by TTC and HE staining and the infarct size,brain microvessels damage and secondary bleeding were compared between the two groups. Results The volume of infarction in the defibrase group was obviously smaller than in the control group, the damage of brain microvessels was less severe, and the bleeding lesions under optical microscope were less than in the control group. Conclusion Defibrase has protective effect against reperfusion injury post cerebral ischemia.
