Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 2012;32(8):965-966
Objective To determine how often the line joining both iliac crests intersects the spine at L3,4 interspace or L4 spinous process. Methods One hundred and eighty-four patients aged 24-82 yr weighing 50-80 kg scheduled for spine surgery were placed in left lateral position with their hips and knees flexed.A line joining both iliac crests was drown.A metal marker was placed at the point where the intercristal line intersects the spine and detected by mobile X-ray system. The intersection was considered accurately located when the marker lay on L3,4 interspace or L4 spinous process. The rate of inaccuracy was calculated. Results The intercristal line lay between L2,3 interspace and L5 spinous process and lay more cephalad in male than in female. The inaccuracy rate was 18%.Conclusion The location of intersection of intercristal line and spine should be checked cautiously before lumbar puncture.

Objective To study the distribution of Sporothrix in natural environment in Jilin province. Methods Specimens of decayed reed, corn stalks, rotten wood and soil from areas of high incidence rate of sporotricosis (Tongyu county and Nongan county) and low incidence rate (Tumen county) were randomly collected, cultured and subcultured for sporothrix, and the isolates were identified. Results 21 strains of Sporothrix schenckii were isolated and identified. It is the first report that Sporothrix is isolated from corn stalks, rotten wood and soil in our country and is the first report in the world that Sporothrix is isolated from corn stalks. Conclusion The results of study show that there are parasitic Sporothrix schenckii in the reed, corn stalks, rotten wood and soil in the region with high incidence rate of sporotrichosis, and parasitic Sporothrix schenckii in the reed and rotten wood have also been found in the region with low incidence rate. The finding of biological distribution of Sporothrix in the province is of great significance for the prevention and treatment of sporothrichosis.

Objective To investigate the expression of calcium-binding protein S100A4 in pancreatic carcinoma and its clinical significannce. Methods Immunohistochemistry EliVisionTM Plus method was used to examine the expression of S100A4 in 70 surgical specimens of primary pancreatic carcinoma and 15 patients with noncarcinoma pancreatic tissues. The correlation between the expression of S100A4 and the clinicopathological parameters was analyzed. Results S100A4 was positive in 52(52/70,74.3%) specimens of primary pancreatic carcinoma according to immunohistochemistry detection. No expression of S100A4 in adjacent noncarcinoma pancreatic tissues was detected. The expression of S100A4 did not correlated with gender, age or tumor site while it was significantly correlated with tumor size, grade of differentiation,TNM stages, lymph node metastasis and survival.Disease-free survival and overall survival of the negative group were significantly longer than the positive group. The difference had statistical significance. Conclusion The study shows that over expression of S100A4 protein is closely related with clinicopathological parameters of pancreatic cancer patients, indicating poor prognosis for pancreatic cancer patients.

Objective To investigate the effects of compound bifonazole solution for the treatment of superficial mycosis. Methods The study groups were treated with compound bifonazole solution and the control group with clotrimazole solution in a double-blind controlled clinical trial. The solutions were applied to skin lesions once a day.The course of treatment was two weeks for tinea corporis and tinea cruris and four weeks for tinea manus and tinea pedis. The patients were followed up weekly for two weeks after cessation of treatment and evaluated with regard to erythema, papule, blister, scale, keratinization and pruritus.Mycologic examinations were performed before, during and right after treatment and two weeks after treatment. Results A total of434patients participated into the study. The clinical cure rates of study group were82.25%in tinea corporis and tinea cruris,and68.75%tinea manus and tinea pedis, with a total response rates of95.85%and92.5%in tinea corporis and tinea cruris,and92.5%in tinea manus and tinea pedis, respectively. The clinical cure rates of control group were58.6%in tinea corporis and tinea cruris,and44.7%in tinea manus and tinea pedis, with a total response rates of83.0%and87.2%in tinea corporis and tinea cruris, and in tinea manus and tinea pedis, respectively. The MICs to350clinical isolates of pathogenic fungi were1.6~2.5mg/L for compound bifonazole solution,and3.125~25mg/L for clotrimazole solution. Conclusions Compound bifonazole solution is a high-effective,broad-spectrum anti-fungal agent. It is keratolytic, well permeable and safe for relatively long term application.

Objective:To provide epidemiological data and clinical evidence for cosmetic adverse reactions. Methods:A retrospective clinical analysis was carried out on a total 820 outpatients (23 males and 797 females) suspected to be with cosmetic adverse reactions from January 2014 - October 2017, and average age of these patients was 7~75 (32.66±8.09) years. Suspicious cosmetics patch tests were performed in some patients. Suspicious cosmetics patch tests were performed in 687 patients. Results:Among 820 patients with cosmetic adverse reactions, women accounted for 97.20% and men accounted for 2.80%. Age distribution was most common among young people aged 21-40 years, accounting for 71.34%. The highest level of education was higher education, accounting for 59.69%. Occupational distribution was most commonly concentrated in employees and unemployed persons, accounting for 28.54% and 18.66%, respectively. A history of cosmetics allergies accounted for 17.28%. Cosmetic contact dermatitis was the most common clinical type of cosmetic adverse reactions, accounting for 92.70%. A total of 1682 suspected pathogenic cosmetics were involved. The positive rate of the cosmetic original patch test was 42.39%. Among the cosmetics with a positive patch test, moisturizing, anti-wrinkle and whitening freckle cosmetics accounted for the highest proportion, 31.59%, 15.09%, and 12.68%, respectively. Conclusions:Cosmetic contact dermatitis is the most common type of cosmetic adverse reaction. Patch testing is helpful in identifying the contact allergens in cosmetic adverse reaction.

Objective:To prepare 68Ga-fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (FAPI)-04, and evaluate its biodistribution and imaging characteristics in animals and healthy volunteers, in order to investigate the clinical translation potential. Methods:68Ga-FAPI-04 was synthesized by a manual method and its radiolabeling yield, radiochemical purity, and stability ( in vivo and in vitro) were analyzed. ICR mice ( n=16) were scarified at 5, 30, 60 and 120 min postinjection of 68Ga-FAPI-04 (1.11 MBq) to measure radioactive counts in main organs. The dynamic mircoPET imaging was acquired for 60 min on 3 ICR mice, and tumor imaging capabilities were examined with nude mice bearing HepG2 tumors. Furthermore, 2 healthy volunteers (1 male with age of 64 years, 1 female with age of 56 years) were recruited for the investigation of probe biodistribution in humans. A serial whole-body dynamic PET/CT scan was performed immediately following injection. Results:68Ga-FAPI-04 was synthesized within 20 min with the radiochemical yield of (68.7±4.0)% (decay corrected). The radiochemical purities of 68Ga-FAPI-04 were over 99% and the products were stable for 180 min in vitro and for 90 min in blood. 68Ga-FAPI-04 was mainly cleared through urinary tracts, while other organs only showed mild tracer accumulation. MicroPET imaging showed high uptake of 68Ga-FAPI-04 in the tumor tissue of mice, and the ratio of tumor/liver was 2.14±0.01 (35 min). The PET/CT imaging results of healthy volunteers revealed 68Ga-FAPI-04 could be quickly cleared. Conclusion:68Ga-FAPI-04 has many advantages for PET imaging, such as easy labeling, good stability, quick clearance and low background signals in the liver, which can be used as an attractive PET tracer for detection hepatocellular carcinoma.
