Objective To identify the effective traction conditions by comparing the effects of traction forces on the intervertebral disc under various mechanical conditions. Methods A three dimensional finite element model was used to carry out mechanical analysis of the traction under conditions with different forces and angles, then to carry out the comparative analysis of the stress distribution and the change of the volume of the intervertebral disc. Results In general, the stress distribution on the intervertebral disc was not even under different traction forces, The maximum stresses appeared at the back rim of the intervertebral disc. With the increase of the traction force and angle, the enlargement of the intervertebral disc volume increased, and the enlargement rate was more significant. Conclusion The volume of the intervertebral disc can be most effectively enlarged at the condition of 30?forward bending of the neck when a force of 90N was applied. This is the most effective traction condition.

Objective:To prepare an acellular matrix from trachea of rabbits and SD rats, and to investigate its biocompatibility.Methods: A modified detergent and enzyme link extraction procedure was performed to remove cells from the trachea of SD rats and rabbits. The histology, topography of inner-surface and biocompatibility were studied by morphological observation,cell culture and in vivo transplantation respectively.Results:The acellular trachea matrix did not inhibit the growth and amylase secretion of allogenic salivary gland cells cultured on it.The allogenically transplanted acellular trachea matrix did not result in inflammation reaction of the host tissue,could integrate with surrounding tisses.Conclusion:The acellular trachea matix is biocompatible.

Methods: Myoblasts obtained from the forelimbs and hindlimbs of neonatal SD rats were purified and cultured. 5?10 4 myoblasts w ere seeded onto each of type Ⅰcollagen sponges in the size of 1.5 mm?0.8 mm? 0.5 cm. Objective To establish a mathematical model for describing and predicting the effectiveness of physical therapy on lumbar disc hernation(LDH).Methods Daily comprehensive physical therapy interventions including lumbar traction,mobilization and physical agents were administered to 31 LDH patients for 10 sessions.A visual analogue scale was used to measure the pain intensity before each session.The logistic curve model was used in the regression analysis.The first 2 to 9 pain measurements were involved in different predictive models,and the predictive results were compared among different models.Results In regression analysis,the global R2 was 0.719.In predicting analysis,the more measurements involved in the predictive model,the more effective the prediction.The predictive power was low when the model included less than 4 measurements.the prediction power was high when more than 5 measurements were used in the model.Conclusion The logistic model can describe and predict the effectiveness of multiple physical therapy on LDH patients.

Objective To explore the polymorphism distribution of the hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) gene i6 in Zunyi region. Methods HSL i6 in the Zunyi population was examined with ploymerase chain reaction-single strand conformation polymorphism (PCR-SSCP), and analyzed for its distribution. Results Six different alleles and 11 different genotypes were found in the HSL i6. The PIC is more than 0.7, in which allele 6 and allele 7 were most widely distributed. Conclusion The polymorphism of HSL i6 was identified and the result suggests in Zunyi HSL as a candidate gene of glucose and lipid metabolism.

Objective To explore the effect of continuous subglottic irrigation and aspiration in patients with artificial airway. Methods One hundred and twenty-eight patients with mechanical ventilation were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 64 cases in each group.The observation group was treated by continuous subglottic irrigation and aspiration,and the control group received traditional nursing.The two groups were observed and compared in terms of incidence of aspiration and ventilator-associated pneumonia.Result The incidences of ventilator associated pneumonia(VAP)and aspiration in the observation group were significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Continuous subglottic irrigation and aspiration can effectively prevent aspiration and VAP among patients with artificial airway.

From October 1969 through December 1981, 3483 esoghageal carcinomas without superficial lymphatic metastasis were treated by 60 Co in our hospital. The radiation dose was over 50Gy and follow-up was over ten years. Results: No significant difference of survival rates was found in various cancer locations in the esophagus combined with the data between our hospital and Xingtai Tumor Hospital, the 5-year survival rates for lower third esophageal cancer were 20.7%～36.4% in surgery group and only 4.3% in radiation group. The goal of this work is to understand the difference between vertical structure and horizontal structure on data management. We take adverse event report as an example to find out the relationship between the storage space and the factors related to the trail. From the study we find out the difference of storage space between horizontal structure and vertical structure goes up with the increase of the storage space of each adverse event record and the number of adverse event allowed to record in the horizontal structure and goes down with the increase of the happening rate and the average times of the adverse event. When using the most widely used study design, vertical structure always takes less storage space than the horizontal structure. This vertical structure database is more suitable for the data management than the horizontal structure database.
