1.Empirical Study on Financial Status of Listed Chinese Pharmaceutical Companies Evaluated by Using Z-score Model

OBJECTIVE:To find out potential financial risk in the listed Chinese pharmaceutical companies and to provide rec-ommendations. METHODS:The Z-score established with Altman E was adopted to classiy and analyzed empirically 143 listed phar-maceutical companies in China during 1998-2013 by sub-sectors(medical devices,pharmaceutical commercial,biological products chemical raw medicine,traditional TCM). The effects of some data in annual reports on Z-score were validated by using stepwise regression. RESULTS:The result showed that the average Z-score values percentage of the best 3 companies were 90.95%,47.96%and 41.25%,respectively,from 1998-2013;while for the worst 3 companies,the values were 0.80%,1.14%and 1.21%,respective-ly. At the same time,the financial situations of chemical raw medicine companies were the worst among 5 sub-sectors,of which dur-ing 2004-2006,the constituent ratios of companies in“Distress”zones went over 50.00%,which were 60.00%,55.20% and 53.60%,respectively. If counted by calendar year,the market value per share of 10 years and float of 9 years significantly affected the Z-score values(P<0.05);if counted by listed year,the market value per share of 15 years significantly affected the Z-score val-ues. CONCLUSIONS:Although major pharmaceutical companies have good financial status,financial crisis still exists in some companies. Especially,the financial situations of chemical raw medicine companies should not be neglected. The government should pay more attention to share price in order to prevent financial crisis which was induced by stock bubbles;at the same time,supervi-sion system should be established to evaluate the financial situation of listed pharmaceutical companies,even for all listed companies.
2.Clinical study on intrathoracic sarcoidosis:a report of 60 cases

Objective To explore the clinical features and diagnosis of pulmonary sarcoidosis.Methods The data of 60 cases of pulmonary sarcoidosis confirmed by pathology was reviewed to determine the clinical features and the value in the diagnosis of sarcoidosis.Results The main clinical manifestations of sarcoidosis included bilateral hilar and mediastinal lymphadenopathy.The results of lung function tests showed that these patients had restrictive ventilating obstacles with decreased DLCO.The diagnosis was confirmed in 80% of the bronchial mucosa biopsies and 77.8% of the transbranchial lung biopsies through fiberotic bronchoscopy,87% of the biopsies of peripheral lymphnodes and 87.5% of the subskin nodes biopsies.Conclusion Nonspecific constitutional symptoms may occur in the cases of sarcoidosis.To the diagnosis of intrathoracic sarcoidosis,peripheral lymph nodes biopsies,the bronchical mucosa biopsies and TBLB are the convenient methods with highly definite diagnosis rate and microinvasion in clinical practice.
3.Steroid 5?-reductase and 5?-reductase type 2 deficiency

Two types of steroid 5?-reductase isozymes were found in human and rats.5?-reductase type 2 deficiency in male lead to male pseudohermaphroditism and other related phenotypes.The content of this review includes:① The progress in the fields of 5?-reductase research;②Biochemical characteristics and physiological effects of 5?-reductase.③ Gene structure and mutation in 5?-reductase genes,clinical and chemical features of 5?-reductase type 2 deficiency syndrome.④Inhibitory agents of 5?-reductase and their mechanism and clinical use.The investigation in 5?-reductase help to illuminate physiological effect and sexual differentiation of androgen.The development of new inhibitory agents for 5?-reductase creats new strategy for diseases caused by imbalance of androgen action.Their mechanism and long effects of clinical use need further investigation and observation.
4.Effect of Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata on footpad inflammation induced by complete Freund's adjuvant in Wistar rats

Purpose To investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata(RRP)on the footpad inflammation induced by complete Freund's adjuvant(CFA)in rats.Methods CFA 100 μL were injected subcutaneously to the Wistar rats at the pad of right hindfoots.19 days later,the rats were daily siven RRP water extract(0.625,1.250,2.500 g/kg·bw)or dexamethasone(0.5mg/ks·bw)intragastrically.The changes of body weight and foot volume were measured.The indexes of organ and blood were determined at the 29th day,the foot pad was removed,and routine paraffin section was performed.Results The model rats kept foot swelling and lymphocyte infiltrating,and the platelet number decreased.The other indexes were statistically insignificant when compared to the controls.RRP did not display any anti-inflammatory effect on the swollon foots,but thoracic gland and spleen indexes were rescued,and platelet number and creatinine content were increased by RRP administration in a dose-dependent manner.The anti-inflammation of dexamethasone was conspicuous,but the side effects were also significant.Conclusion RRP may be plays an adjunctive action in herbal recipes to treat rheumatoid arthritis.
5.Improvements in Similarity Algorithms Based on Similarity System Theory

For solving the problem that common similarity algorithms are insensitive to the relative differences of different chromatographic fingerprints data, this paper improved the algorithms of improved extent similarity), which named new improved extent similarity. It was confirmed that new improved extent similarity could distinguish) the samples with the same total difference and different distribution of relative differences. by applying) the similarity algorithm to simulated data and the chromatographic fingerprints of nine batches Rukuaixiao tablets. New improved extent similarity could reflect the relative differences of peak areas more sensitively when the relative differences of common peak areas was less than 100%. The result indicates that new improved extent similarity can reflect the large deviation from the established proportion of components, which can be applied to the control of the fluctuation of the established proportion of effective components and the process quality control of Traditional Chinese Medicine .
6.Clinical value of LHRH exciting test in differential diagnosis of constitutional delayed puberty and male hypogonadotropic hypogonadism

Objective To analyse the clinical significance of LHRH exciting test in the differential diagnosis of constitutional delayed puberty (CDP) and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (HH). Methods Eighty-one cases from 1982 to 1998 were investigated and followed up. They were all at genital stage Ⅰ. After injection of 100 ?g LHRH, the blood samples (3 ml) were taken at -15, 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 min. The serum LH and FSH levels were determined by radioimmunoassay. Then they were followed up every 3-24 months. After they received LHRH exciting test, they were followed up until over 18 years old. According to their puberty development status, they were divided into 3 groups, normal group (n=34),CDP group (n=16) and HH group (n=31),andthemeanage,whenthey received LHRH exciting test, was (10.2?0.9, range 9-14) years, (16.0?1.0, range 14-18) years and (17.1?1.4, range 16-22) years respectively. Objective To clarify the relationship between CT120,a novel human plasma membrane-associated gene,and the proliferation of lung adenocarcinoma cell line A549.Methods Expression vector(pcDNA3.1)containing antisense oligonucleotides of CT120 was constructed and transfected into the adenocarcinoma cell line A549.RT-PCR and Western blot detected the expression of CT120.Meantime,flow cytometry and soft agarose colony formation were applied for cell proliferation,and P53,CyclinD1 and CDK4 were detected by RT-PCR.ResultspcDNA3.1 containing antisense oligonucleotides of CT120 was successfully constructed and inhibited the expression of CT120 effectively by RT-PCR and Western blot.The expression of P53 was up-regulated and the expression of CyclinD1 and CDK4 were down-regulated.Conclusion The down-regulation of CT120 expression by antisense oligonucleotides technique may be a potential drug target for treatment of lung cancer.

Using the cyclodextrin bonded polysiloxane (bikis〔(2,6-di-O-pentyl-3-O-hex-6-O-enyl)-pentakis(2,6-di-O-pentyl-3-O-methyl)-β-cyclodextrm-polysiloxane〕) as gas chromatographic stationary phase, α-hydroxy acetones were separated and the values of the enantiomeric excess(e.e) of 3-hydroxy-2-butanone were determined. The results showed that the high resolution gas chromatography (HRGC) using the chiral gas chromatographic stationary phase could determine the productive rate of the asymmetric hydrogenaton reaction and evaluate the enantoselectivity of the catalyst system.
9.Role of intrapulmonary expression of MIF mRNA in acute lung injury of rats with acute necrotizing pancreatitis

Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of MIF mRNA and TNF-α in the lung tissue of rats with acute necrotizing pancreatitis (ANP) and explore their mechanism of action in acute lung injury during the course of ANP. Methods A total of 40 Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups (n = 10 in each group) : the sham operation (SO) group, ANP 3h group, 6h group, 12h group. The model of ANP was induced by retrograde injection of 5% sodium tanrocholate (0. 1 ml/100 g) into the biliary and pancreatic duct. The level of serum amylase was determined;pancreatic and lung tissues were harvested for pathological examination, and wet/dry weight ratios were estimated. Intrapulmonary expression of MIF mRNA was assayed by semi-quantitative RT-PCR. TNF-α in pulmonary homogenate was measured by immunoradiometric assay. Results Serum amylase, wet/dry weight ratios of pancreatic and lung tissues all significantly increased, and pathological injuries aggravated with time in ANP groups. Levels of TNF-α in ANP 3h, 6h, 12h group were (0.69 ± 0. 107) ng/ml, (1.64 ± 0. 10) ng/ml and (0.92 ± 0.11) ng/ml, and expression of MIF mRNA were 1.97±0.09, 2.55±0.23, 3.29±0.26, which were significantly higher than those in control group [(0. 19±0.06)ng/ml, 1.21±0.34, P<0.01]. lntrapulmonary expression of MIF mRNA was positively associated with lung pathological injuries, wet/dry weight ratio, and TNF-α(r = 0. 637, r = 0.684, r = 0.858, P < 0.01). Intrapulmonary levels of TNF-α was positively associated with lung pathological injuries, wet/dry weight ratio (r=0.540, r=0.421, P<0.01). Conclusions MIF mRNA was over- expressed and level of TNF-α was significantly increased in pulmonary tissue in rats with ANP, and this may be one of the mechanisms in the pathogenesis of lung injury in ANP.
10.Expression of influence of continuous blood purification on the endothelin-1 and prognosis value in the neurogenic pulmonary edema

Objective To explore the influnce on the endothelin-1 (ET-1) and clinical application value of continuous blood purification (CBP) on the treatment of severe craniocerebral injury with the neurogenic pulmonary edema (NPE).Methods All data about sixty patients with NPE were prospectively studied.These 60 patients were randomly (random number) divided into control group (n =30) and treatment group (n =30).In control group,patients were rapidly given with lowering intracranial pressure,mechanical ventilation,calming,antibiotic therapy and so on.In the treatment group,patients received CBP integrated with routine treatment.On admission and 72 h posttreatment,ET-1,static lung compliance and oxygenation index were observed.Time of mechanical ventilation support,incidence rates of multipal organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) were compared between two groups.The paired t-test was used for the amount data within the group.Chi-square was used for the constitute ratio and incidence ratio of the each relevant information.P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results Compared to the control group,the level of ET-1 was decreased significantly in the treatment group [(48 ± 10) ng/L vs.(85 ± 14) ng/L] after 72 h post-treatment,while static lung compliance [(60.9 ± 2.3) mL/cmH2O vs.(31.4 ±4.8) mL/cmH2O] and oxygenation index [(317 ± 11) mmHg vs.(192 ± 14) mmHg] increased significantly (P < 0.05).In treatment group and control group,the time of respirator intervention were [(6.0 ± 2.1) d vs.(11 ± 3.2) d],and the statistical significance was shown (P < 0.05).Compared to the control group [56.7% (17/30)],incidence rate of MODS [20.0% (6/30)] was lower in treatment group (P < 0.05).Conclusions CBP combined with routine treatment,which can remove ET-1 effectively,improve oxygenation,reduce the time of mechanical ventilation support and incidence rate of MODS.
