OBJECTIVE: To observe the antitumor effect of FZQL combined with CTX on S180 tumor and the effect of FZQL on reducing CTX s toxieity .METHODS: The models of S180 tumor bering mice were established .The animals were divided into CTX therapy group, CTX and FZQL combined therapy group, FZQL therapy group and control group.The results were compared among these groups.RESULTS: The weight of tumor in FZQL therapy group was less than that in control group.All of the experimental markers in combined iherapy group were better than those in CTX therapy group.CONCLUSION: FZQL has a marked inhibiting effect on tumor(S180), and it can increase the CTX's inhibiting effect on tumor and reduce the side effect of CTX and increasing the body immunity.

Objective To investigated the effects of long term use of very low protein diet(VLPD,0 3 g?kg-1?d-1) treatment on patients with chronic renal insufficiency without essential amino acids(EAAs) or related ketoacids supplement.Methods Thirty seven patients with established severe chronic renal failure (CRF)[Scr(588 2?123 5)?mol/L, Ccr(9 77?3 48)ml?min-1?(1 73m2)-1]were divided into 2 groups according to their actual protein intake: 20 patients with protein intake of (0 33?0 04)g?kg-1?d-1 were used as VLPD group, while other 17 CRF patients whose protein intake was 0 6 g?kg-1?d-1 were served as low protein diet group (LPD). Results All patients in VLPD group showed good compliance to this very low protein diet,and no one presented signs of protein malnutrition during the observation. The concentrations of serum albumin and transferrin were maintained in normal ranges during the follow up period despite the transferrin levels in both groups gradually decreased as time went on. Objective To investigate the biological effects of 12C heavy ions with different LETs,and to construct the dose-effect curves of chromosomal aberrations and micronucleus.Methods Human peripheral blood lymphocytes were irradiated with 0.5 - 5.0 Gy of 60Co γ-rays,29 and 148 keV/μm 12C with a dose rate of 0.5 Gy/min,respectively.The colchicine method and cytokinesis-blocking method were applied to measure chromosome aberrations and micronuclei formation,respectively. Results The chromosomal aberrations induced by 29 and 148 keV/μm of 12C ion had a linear dose response,while the dose-response of micronucleus induction followed to a linear-quadratic model.Chromosome aberration and micronucleus frequency increased with the LET of 12C ions. However, the micronucleus frequency increased slowly when the radiation doses exceeded 3.0 Gy..Chromosomal aberrations induced by 148 keV/μm 12C ions increased significantly when the time of colchicine treatment was prolonged.Conclusions Chromosome aberration and micronucleus induced by 12C ions increased with the LET,and the micronucleus frequency increased with dose less than 3 Gy.The biological effects of 12C ions were stronger than those of low LET irradiation of γ-rays.

Objective To study the therapeutic effects of Bizhi pills in mycobacterium tuberculosis infection.Methods KunMing mice were infected by intratail-vein injection with mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv, then treated with saline(A)or Rifampin(B) or Bizhi pills(C).The lungs,hvers and spleens were taken to observe their pathological changes,weighted and performed mycobacterial culture after 4 months of treatment.Results After 4 months of treatment, indexes of the lung in group C were markedly lower than that in group A (P＜0.05),but higher than that in group B,although the differences were not significant.The lesion of lung in group C were similar as that in group B,and were lessen than that in group A.No obvious lesion of lung was observed in 8 mice of group B and C,but the differences were not significant.Swell of spleen was observed in 9 mice in group A,2 mice in group B and5 mice in group C,the differences were significant(P＜0.01).The numbers of bacteria in the lung and spleen of the female mice of C group were remarkably less than that in group A, and decreased 4 times and 10 times respectively compared with group A(P＜0.01),the numbers of bacteria in the lung and spleen of the male mice of C group were less than that in group A, and decreased 3 times and 2 times respectively.However,the numbers of bacteria in the lung and spleen of the male mice of B group was decreased 14 times and 7 times respectively(P＜0.01).Conclusions The therapeutic efficacy of Bizhi pills in mice with mycobacterium tuberculosis infection is significant, but it is not as good as Rifampin.The therapeutic efficacy of Bizhi pills in female mice of mycobacterium tuberculosis infection is better than that in male mice.

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum visfatin level and coronary artery stenosis.Methods Based on coronary angiography,85 patients were diagnosed as coronary heart disease.According to oral glucose tolerance test,these patients were divided into 3 groups,34 patients with normal glucose tolerance(CHD group),25 with impaired glucose regulation(CIG group),and 26 with type 2 diabetes mellitus(CDM group).30 non-comary heart disease subjects with normal glucose tolerance were selected as the control group(CON group),and they underwent coronary CT angiography scan and were confirmed coronary disease-free.Blood pressure,body mass index(BMI),waist circumference(WC),waist hip ratio(WHR),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),blood lipid analysis,fasting insulin,and HbA1C were determined.Serum visfatin concentration was assayed and the status of coronary artery was assessed.Coronary artery stenosis was screened by coronary interventional angiography and assessed by Gemini scoring system in CHD,CIG,and CDM groups.Results Compared with control group,serum visfatin in CHD,CIG,and CDM groups were significantly higher(all P<0.05).Compared with CHD group,serum visfatin in CIG and CDM groups were significantly higher(all P<0.05).The correlation analysis showed that serum visfatin level was positively correlated with the involved branches of coronary arteries(r=0.807,P<0.01),serum visfatin level was positively related with Gensini coronary artery score(r=0.669,P<0.01).Visfatin was also positively correlated with WC,WHR,triglyceride(TG,r=0.200,P=0.032,r=0.185,P=0.047,r=0.321,P<0.01),while high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)was negatively correlated with visfatin(r=-0.354,P<0.01).Multiple regression analysis showed that senlm hvel of TG and WC were the main influencing factors of visfatin.Conclusion (1)The level of serum visfatin may reflect the severity of coronary artery stenosis,detection of visfatin helps to make early diagnosis of CHD.(2)The raised serum level of visfatin in comary heart disease patients with imparied glucose tolerance is consistent with clinical evidence that diabetic patients have more severe coronary diseases.(3)WC and serum TG are main inilucencing factors,suggesting that visfatin is correlated with abdominal obesity.

Objective To develop a nomogram for the use of predicting renal outcomes of Chinese lupus nephritis (LN) patients.Methods From January 1,2005 to October 1,2015,513 patients with biopsy-proven LN in the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University were enrolled into this study.Renal outcomes were defined as end-stage renal disease or doubling of serum creatinine.Demographic characteristics,laboratory data,and pathologic data were recorded and included for analysis.Nomograms were designed using multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression to predict the non-outcome renal survival in 5 and 8 year according to the Akaike information criterion (AIC) and continuous reclassification net improvement (cNRI).Predictive accuracy and discriminative ability of the models were determined by concordance index (C-index) and calibration curve.Results During a median follow up of 48 (24,71) months,44 patients (8.58％) reached the endpoint.1-year,5-year and 8-year non-outcome renal survival were 97.57％,92.89％,79.89％ respectively.According to multivariate Cox regression,four nomograms including index for baseline renal function,pathologic severity,and response to treatment were designed.The best model,within which included eGFR was lower than 30 ml · min-1 · (1.73 m2)-1(HR=4.44,95％ CI 2.16-9.13,P ＜ 0.01),percentage of global glomerulosclerosis was higher (HR=12.28,95％CI 3.58-42.13,P ＜ 0.01) and partial remission occurred after 6-month induction treatment (HR=9.16,95％ CI 4.71-17.82,P ＜ 0.01) demonstrated good discrimination to predict 5-year and 8-year non-outcome renal survival [C-index,0.80(95％CI 0.81-0.91),0.76(95％CI 0.68-0.85),respectively].The nomogram based on above model also performed good calibration.Conclusion The nomogram based on patients' baseline eGFR,percentage of global glomerulosclerosis,and treatment reaction after 6-month induction therapy can accurately predict 5-year and 8-year non-outcome renal survival in Chinese lupus nephritis patients.

Objective The aim of this study is to summarize preverbal communication skills in children with cochlear implants,and to provide a clinical baseline of assessment in early stage after cochlear implantation.Methods 23 prelingually deaf children with homebred cochlear implants participated in this study.The age at cochlear im-plantation ranged from 12 to 66 months with a mean of 35 months.The evaluation was performed at switch-on ses-sion and 1,3,6,9 and 12 months after the first programming session.Tait video analysis was used to assess the preverbal communication skills including turn-taking,autonomy,eye contact and auditory awareness.CAP and SIR were used to evaluate the auditory and speech abilities.ResuIts The skills of turn-taking and auditory aware-ness increased significantly,especially in the first six months after switch-on session (P<0.05).The scores of autonomy and eye contact were relative low and there were no significant differences during the first year after surgery (P>0. 05).There was a correlation between the score of CAP/SIR and turn-taking or auditory awareness.ConcIusion Children with cochlear implants established vocal-auditory mode of early communicative behavior over time.Pre-verbal communication skills CAP and SIR have relativity and can comprehensively evaluate the auditory,speech and communication skills of children with cochlear implants.

OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study is to analyze the development of musicality in children after cochlear implantation, and provide a clinical database for the evaluation of their musicality. METHOD: Twenty-six children with cochlear implants (CI group) participated in this research. They received cochlear implants at the age of 11 to 68 months with a mean of 35.6 months. Seventy-six infants as a control group aged from 1 to 24 months with a mean of 6.1 months participated in this study, whose hearing were considered normal by passing the case history collection, high-risk registers for hearing loss and hearing screening using DPOAE. The music and young children with CIs: Musicality Rating Scale was used to evaluate their musicality. The evaluation was performed before cochlear implantation and 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 24 months after cochlear implantation for children with cochlear implants. The evaluation was also performed at 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 24 months for children with normal hearing. RESULT: The mean scores of musicality showed significant improvements with time of CI use for CI group (P<0.05). The mean scores of musicality also showed significant improvements with time for control group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in mean scores between CI group and control group at 1, 3, 6, 9, 12 months of hearing age by rank sum test (P>0.05). Significant difference was noted between the two groups at 24 months (P<0.05). CONCLUSION The musicality of children with cochlear implants improved significantly with time after cochlear implantation. The most rapid growth was found in the first year after cochlear implantation.

OBJECTIVE The aim was to explore the clinical experiences and access the auditory performance and speech intelligibility of cochlear implantation in patients with inner ear malformations. METHODS Among 700 patients who received multi-channel cochlear implantation from 1997 to 2007 in Beijing Tongren Hospital, 108 patients were diagnosed with malformed inner ear. A retrospective study was performed about the surgical characteristics and the mapping characteristics after implantation. The long term follow-up of the rehabilitative efficacy will also be presented. RESULTS ①All patients restituted auditory after operation. ②After the regular rehabilitation, the long term follow-up of the auditory performance and speech intelligibility were very positive. Everyone has shown improved listening and communication skills evaluated by Categories of Auditory Performance and Speech Intelligibility Rating. ③Most of the children are studying or working and are actively involved in their local communities. CONCLUSION The cochlear implantation can be performed safely in patients with malformed inner ear. The results suggest that cochlear implantation could also provides long-term benefits to those malformed inner ear cases.
