1.Progress in the basic and clinical studies of malignant tumor thermoradiatherapy
Journal of International Oncology 2009;36(7):512-515
Thermotherapy is one of the combined therapies of malignant tumor. It can enhance the sen-sitivity to radiotherapy by inhibiting cell DNA repair, changing cell signaling, modulating cell cycle checkpoint and inhibiting tumor cell metastasis. Many clinical trials have also confirmed that the combination of thermother-apy and radiotherapy can enhance the curative effect of head and neck, ventrum and pelvic malignant tumor. In this article, the synergistic effects and mechanism of tumor thermoradiotherapy are reviewed.

Objective To investigate correlation between HLA classⅡ molecules and the different outcome of viral hepatitis B. Methods Thirty patients with chronic hepatitis B and 56 subjects who had spontaneously recovered from HBV infection in Zhejiang district were enrolled in this investigation. HLA classⅡ molecule types and their alleles were determined by PCR ssp. Results HLA DR12 was found in 21 of 56 subjects recovered from hepatitis B (38%), compared to 3 of 30 patients with chronic hepatitis B (10%, rr 0.19; P corr

OBJECTIVE:To compare and analyze blood concentration changes of fluorouracil administered to guinea pigs by different paths.METHODS:The peripheral vein and portal vein blood samples of guinea pigs were taken at different time after administered with fluorouracil in3different ways:group A(by arterial infusion),group B(by intravenous infusion)and group C(by celiac infusion). The blood concentration changes were determined and analyzed by HPLC.RESULTS:The portal vein and peripheral vein blood concentrations in group A and B reached peak value5min after administration with flu?orouracil while group C reached peak at10min;the portal vein blood concentrations in group A reached the highest in the first20min while group C showed the highest value in the last30min.CONCLUSION:Arterial infusion combining celiac infusion path was recommended for local chemotherapy;arterial infusion combining intravenous infusion or intravenous infusion com?bining celiac infusion was recommended for the local therapy while giving consideration to systemic chemotherapy.

Objective To explore the application effect of laparoscopic resection of colorectal cancer in elderly patients. Methods 220 patients with colorectal cancer were selected and divided into the study group and the control group,ll0 cases in each group. The patients of the control group were treated with abdominal surgery. The patients of the study group were given laparoscopic surgery. The operative time, blood loss, anal exhaust time, postoperative hospital stay, and postoperative complications, pull tube time of the two groups were compared. Results The operative time of the study group was (245.4 ± 23.2) min, which was significantly longer than (214.8 ± 25.1) min of the control group(t =8.759,P =0.026) ; The blood loss, anal exhaust time, postoperative hospital stay, time to pull the tube of the study group were (175.3 ± 18.4)mL,(2.1 ±0.5)d,(13.2 ±0.1)d and (1.2 ±0.3) d,respectively, which were significantly better than those of the control group(t =9.041,9.757,8.969,8.704,P =0.025,0.023,0.027,0.028) ;The incidence rate of complication of the study group was 14.5%,which was significantly lower than 24.5% of the control group(x2 =11.704,P =0.019).Conclusion Laparoscopic resection of colorectal cancer had better effect, and it can lower blood loss, shorter hospital stays, and has fewer complications.

Objective To investigate mut-slice spiral CT(MSCT) and MRI features and correlated pathological basis of stasis cirrhosis. Methods MSCT and MRI findings of 35 patients with stasis cirrhosis (study group) and 35 patients with posthepatitic cirrhosis (control group) were studied retrospectively. Volume index of liver and spleen, caliber of hepatic vein and the number of regenerative nodules exceeded 5mm in diameter were measured. The contrast-enhanced patterns of liver parenchyma, contrast medium reflux, ascites, the number of varices and correlated abnormalities were reviewed. Results The volume indexes of liver and spleen, calibers of hepatic vein were (4434.95±1283.08) cm~3,(621.92±400.33) cm~3 and (3.61±0.81) cm in the study group,(2569.73±853.06) cm~3,(1275.61±727.51) cm~3 and (1.92±0.46) cm in the control group, respectively. The number of the patients showed waves of borderline, inhomogeneous pattern of parenchymal contrast enhancement, regenerative nodules exceeded 5mm in diameter, contrast medium reflux, varices and ascites were 5, 29, 17, 20, 16 and 6 cases in the study group,29,0,5,0,35 and 26 cases in the control group, respectively, there were statistic differences between the study group and control group(P<0.05).Conclusion MSCT and MRI play a invaluable role in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis and etiological diagnosis of stasis cirrhosis.

Objective To evaluate the value of calcifications in the diagnosis of benign and malignant breast diseases. Methods In 270 female individuals, calcifications had been found in mammography and confirmed by pathology ,biopsy or followed-up. The characteristics of calcifications in benign and malignant breast diseases were analyzed and compared retrospectively. Results In mammography, significant difference characteristics exists in the characteristics of calcifications between the two kinds of breast diseases( P

Journal of International Oncology 2014;(8):602-605
Bevacizumab has been widely used in tumor targeting therapy, while the most common adverse reaction is renal impairment, manifested as proteinuria. The main mechanisms may include interfering podocytes-endothelial vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)axis signals, increasing glomerular pressure caused by secondary hypertension, subacute renal thrombotic microangiopathy caused by endothelial damage and so on. Thrombotic microangiopathy is the main renal pathological type, and other rare types include glomer-ular lesions, renal interstitial disease, and benign renal arteriolar nephrosclerosis. Therefore, urine protein excretion and renal function should be closely monitored during bevacizumab treatment period for timely treat-ment,dose reduction or even withdrawal if necessary to ensure renal function.
