Objective: To observe the apoptosis and expression of apoptosis related proteins Bcl-2,Bax and P53 during the developing mouse stomach.Methods: Serial sections of fetal mice aged 11～15 days were made.The density of apoptotic bodies(DAB) in the epithelium was measured with stereological method.The expression of apoptosis related proteins Bcl-2,Bax and P53 in the epithelium were detected with the SABC method of immunocytochemistry,and image analysier was used to detect the products-intensity of each section.Results: ① The peak-expression of DAB in the epithelium was on the 14 th and 15 th day.② The peak-expression of Bcl-2 in the epithelium was on the 11 th and 13 th day,the peak-expression of Bax in the epithelium was on the 14 th day,the peak-expression of P53 were on the 11 th and 14 th day.Conclusion: ① Bcl-2 may have a role in suppressing cell apoptosis in the epithelium of stomach,Bax may have a role in promoting cell apoptosis.P53 do not have close relationship with the control of epithelial cells apoptosis in fetus mouse stomach.

OBJECTIVES:To isolate and purify a new peptide named as NV-PP-1,from anti-inflammatory protein extracts of Nidus Vespae and to characterize it.METHODS:It was purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation,DEAE-Sephadex A50 ionexchange chromatography,Sephadex G-50 gel filtration and HPLC，respectively.Then it was characterized by HPLC on Protein-PakTM-60 column,IEF-HPCE(isoelectric focusing-high performance capillary electrophoresis),UV spectrum,amino acid analysis,and the N-terminal analysis with DNS-Cl.RESULT:Both HPLC on Protein-PakTM-60 column and IEF-HPCE showed its homogeneity.Its molecular weight was estimated to be 7.079 kD by HPSEC.UV spectrum indicated its maximum absorption at 274nm.Its PI was determined to be 4.08 according to IEF-HPCE.The terminal analysis showed its N-terminal amino acid was blocked.Amino acid analysis of NV-PP-1 indicated that it was rich in Ser,Glu,Gly.CONCLUSION:NV-PP-1 is the first peptide isolated from the anti-inflammatory protein extracts of Nidus vespae.

Objective:To study the clinical curative effect and nursing interventions of CBP used in critically ill patients. Methods:critically ill patients were enrolled and given CBP treatment, then randomly divided into given nursing intervention and control group were given usual care. Cardiac function, renal function and treatment related complications were observed. Results:after the treatment, E/A, LVEF, LVEDD, Ccr were higher than that before treatment;Scr, BUN levels were lower than that before treatment;cases of arrhythmia, angina pectoris, hypotension, cardiac packing, hypoxemia and puncture point infection, hematoma of observation group were less than control group. Conclusion:CBP therapy can improve heart function and renal function in critically ill patients and the nursing intervention measures can reduce the occurrence of complications in treatment.

Objective: To design and develop a preadjusted appliance based on Chinese normal occlusion, and to apply it in treatment of malocclusion cases.Methods: According to the results of the research performed in Department of Orthodontics, School of Stomatology of Peking University about teeth position and morphology of 67 Chinese with normal occlusion, the preadjusted appliance with the optimal prescription for Chinese has been designed and developed (Z1 appliance). Z1 appliance has been used in treatment of malocclusion cases. The efficiency of Z1 appliance was evaluated. Results:The treatment of 30 non-extraction cases and 16 extraction cases has been completed with Z1 appliance. A quite good result of clinical application of Z1 appliance was represented. Conclusion: Z1 appliance could be used in treatment of Chinese malocclution. The bracket base for anterior teeth was too thick and need more improvement.

Objective To study the regulation of iodine solution dissemination through the portal vein duo to compression of liver tissue in SD rat models.Methods SD rats were divided into three groups:liver segment blocking group,non-liver segment blocking group and placebo group.Right anterior segments of liver were blocked by blocking ribbon before the compression of liver tissue in liver segment blocking group,the liver tissue was pressed in 20 times.The procedures were all the same with blocking groups in non-liver segment blocking group except that the liver tissue is free from blocking.Placebo group only was opened and closed the abdomens.The iodine solution was injected into the liver tissue in right anterior segments and iodine ball should be confirmed under the X-ray in every experimental rats.The severity of the iodine predations in the liver was divided into four degree:Degree A indicated the iodine ball was in situ;no predations;Predations were in right anterior segments only in degree B;Degree C was found iodine spots in other liver segments except right anterior segments;Degree D indicated iodine spread to other organs.The iodine balls were pressed under the pressure between 10 and 15 mm Hg.Results Majority of iodine balls(36/45,80%)were formed successfully in liver tissues.Compression of the iodine balls in liver tissues can cause iodine predations in the vessels in liver.The severity of the dissemination was related to the pressure and the range of the pressings.The blocking of the liver segments before the operation can reduce the predations of iodine.Conclusion Pressing of the liver tissue can caused the iodine balls disseminate in vessels,cancer cells or cause thrombus disseminate in the vessels,Which can be reduced by avoiding the compression of the liver or tumom during the operation.

Objective To investigate the myocardial protective effect of adenosine preconditioning against ischemia-reperfusion injury in patients who were undergone valve replacement during cardiac pulmonary bypass.Methods 42 patients scheduling for valve replacement operation were divided randomly into two groups:experiment group(n=23) and control group(n=19).Adenosine preconditioning were performed in experiment group before cardiac pulmonary bypass.To estimate the plasma level of cardiotroponin I (cTnI),creatine kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB ),radialis arterial blood was drown at following time points respectively: before operation,30 minutes before and after aortic clamp,1 hour and 3 hours after aortic opened.Meanwhile the rate of heart spontaneous rebeating,defibrillation,arrhythmia and cardiac inotropic agents used and its duration were recorded.Results The elevated range of plasm cTnI and CK-MB in experiment group were obviously lower than that in control group.In experiment group,the rate of heart spontaneous rebeating were higher,but the frequency of defibrillation,arrhythmia and the cardiac inotropic agents used and its duration were lower than those of control group.Conclusion Adenosine preconditioning has notable clinical protective effects on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in patients undergone valve replacement during cardiac pulmonary bypass.

Objective To study the spatiotemporal distributions of epithelial proliferation and apoptosis,and the correlation of morphogenesis with them in developing stomach.Methods Serial sections of fetal mice aged 11-15.5 days were made.The morphogenesis of stomach was observed under light microscope.The density of mitotic cells(DMC) and apoptotic bodies(DAB) of epithelium in the developing cardia,pylorus,greater curvature,lesser curvature were measured with stereological method.Results The morphological development of stomach took place on the 11~(th) day of mouse embryo development.The fundus,greater curvature and lesser curvature were observed on the 12~(th) day.The peak value of DMC all appeared before the peak value of DAB.In the epithelium of cardia,no obvious peak value of DMC was observed and the peak value of DAB was on the 11.5~(th),12.5~(th),13.5~(th) day.In the epithelium of pylorus,the peak value of DMC was on the 12.5~(th) day,the peak value of DAB was on the 14~(th) day.In the epithelium of greater curvature,the peak value of DMC was on the 11.5~(th) and 12~(th) day,the DAB value was low.In the epithelium of lesser curvature,the peak value of DMC was on the 11.5~(th) day,the peak value of DAB was on the 12.5~(th) day.Conclusion There was very close spatiotemporal relationship between the cell proliferation,cell apoptosis and the morphological development of stomach.

Objective To observe the effect of five-tone music therapy on relieving anxiety and depression and on improving the quality of life of patients receiving chemotherapy after gastric cancer radical surgery.Methods Ninety anxiety and depression in-patients treated with chemotherapy after gastric cancer radical surgery were randomly divided into observation group and control group,45 cases in each group.Patients of the two groups were treated with the same chemotherapy regimen and nursing,and additionally,the observation group was given fivetone musie therapy and the control group was given conventional music therapy.The intervention effects were evaluated by scoring with Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS),Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) and questionnaire for the quality of life of gastric cancer patients (QLQ-STO22) at admission time and when discharging from hospital.Results The SAS and SDS standard scores and the scores of each dimension of QLQ-STO22 in the observation group were markedly decreased after intervention,the differences being statistically significant (P ＜ 0.01 compared with those before intervention).And the SAS and SDS standard scores of the observation group after intervention were lower than those of the control group (P ＜ 0.01).In the aspects of quality of life,the scores of all dimension of QLQ-STO22 except taste,appearance and hair loss in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P ＜ O.05).Conclusion Five-tone music therapy is effective on relieving anxiety and depression and on improving the quality of life of patients receiving chemotherapy after gastric cancer radical surgery.

BACKGROUND: The expression of Fas antigen and P53 protein in colorectal cancer could reflect the biological character and the prognosis of the tumor.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationship between the expression of Fas antigen and P53 protein in coloreetal cancer and the tumor-related biological characters.DESIGN: A controlled experiment by introducing pathological specimens as subjects.SETTING: The study was conducted in the Department of Pathology of Xijing Hospital Affiliated with the Fourth Military Medical University of Chinese PLA.PARTICIPANT S: Totally 32 pathological specimens of colorectal cancer were randomly selected from the Department of Surgery of Xijing Hospital between January 1995 and October 1998. Sixteen normal large intestine tissues were selected form the cadaver of pathology department.METHODS: The expression of Fas antigen and P53 protein in 32 colorectal cancer tissue and 16 normal intestine tissue were tested and compared with immunohistochemical method.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Fas antigen and P53 protein expression in coloreetal cancer and normal intestine, and the clinical indicators of patients with colorectal cancer.RESULTS: The expression of Fas antigen was positive in normal large intestine tissue while the expression of P53 protein was negative. The positive rate of Fas antigen expression in colorectal cancer was 41% (13/32), while the positive rate of P53 expression in colorectal caner was 53% (17/32). Fas antigen significantly decreased in colorectal cancer tissues. The expression of Fas antigen was correlated with the histological type of colorectal cancer and its liver metastasis( P ＜ 0.05) . And the expression of P53 protein was correlated with the liver metastasis of colorectal cancer( P ＜ 0. 05).CONCLUSION: The expression of Fas antigen significantly decreases in colorectal cancer. The higher the malignance is, the more significant less the expression is. Fas antigen does not express in liver metastasis patients. P53protein had positive expression in colorectal cancer tissues, especially in patients with liver metastasis. The reduction and deletion of Fas antigen expression and the excessive expression of P53 protein indicate poor prognosis.
