1.Clinical Observation of Weifuchun Tablet Combined with Rabeprazole Enteric-coated Tablet in the Treat-ment of Chronic Gastritis with Reflux Esophagitis

OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy and safety of weifuchun tablet combined with rabeprazole enteric-coated tablet in the treatment of chronic gastritis with reflux esophagitis. METHODS:894 gastritis patients with reflux esophagitis were random-ly divided into control group (407 cases) and observation group (487 cases). Control group was given 10 mg Rabeprazole enter-ic-coated tablet,once a day;observation group was additionally given 1 440 mg Weifuchun tablet,orally,3 times a day. The treat-ment course for both groups was 4-8 weeks. Clinical efficacy,microscopic examination grading,total symptom scores,self-rating anxiety scores(SAS),self-rating depression scores(SDS),quality of life scale score(QOLS),Memorial University of Newfound-land Scale of Happiness score(MUNSH) of reflux esophagitis before and after treatment,and incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups were observed. RESULTS:The total effective rate in observation group was significantly higher than control group,the dif-ference was statistically significant(P<0.01). Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the microscopic examina-tion grading,symptom scores,SAS,SDS,QOLS and MUNSH scores between 2 groups (P>0.05);after treatment,the micro-scopic examination grading cases in 2 groups were significantly superior to before,observation group was superior to control group,total symptom scores,SAS and SDS scores were significantly lower than before,observation group was lower than control group,QOLS and MUNSH scores were significantly higher than before,observation group was higher than control group,the dif-ferences were statistically significant(P<0.05 of P<0.01). And there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reac-tions between 2 groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Weifuchun tablet combined with rabeprazole enteric-coated tablet has better efficacy than only rabeprazole in the treatment of chronic gastritis with reflux esophagitis,it can relieve clinical symptoms of pa-tients,with better safety.
2.Analysis and discussion of clinical pathology of 864 cases with breast diseases

Background and purpose:There is an increasing of breast diseases every year. It is important for us to detect the tumor characteristic and to establish the diagnosis of breast diseases through their clinical manifestation and pathology.Methods:A retrospective analysis of 864 cases of breast diseases after surgical operation,was made in our hospital, from 2000 to 2006.Results:85.7% of 864 cases were fibro benign diseases, and most of them were fibro cystic hyperplasia and fibroadenoma of breast.Malignant disease was found 123 cases, and most of them were invasive ductal carcinoma, then medullary carcinoma and early infiltrating carcinoma.It is significant that the youngest age from 30 years old and the incidence rate increased with the age.Conclusions:It is very important to promate the diagnosis rate of breast carcinoma by early prevention and treatment to screen breast diseases and monitor high risk population in time.
3.Epidemiological feature of respiratory syncytial virus in hospitalized children in Suzhou

Objectives To investigate the epidemiological feature of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in hospitalized children with acute respiratory infection. Methods A total of 28 871 children with acute respiratory tract infection from Janu-ary 2007 to December 2011 were enrolled in the study. Nasopharyngeal aspirates were obtained from the respiratory tract by aseptic vacuum aspiration. Direct immuno-lfuorescence assay was used to detect RSV antigen. Correlation between RSV posi-tive rate and meteorological data including mean air temperature and total monthly rainfall, etc. was analyzed. Results The peak infection seasons of RSV during 2007-2010 were winter and spring in Suzhou, while in 2011 the infection rate of RSV was increased since July. The positive rates of RSV during winter and spring in 2007-2008, 2008-2009, 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 were 38.57%, 19.86%, 29.73%and 30.79%, respectively, with signiifcant difference (χ2=176.85, P<0.001). From July to September in 2011, the positive rate of RSV was 5.74%, 21.09%and 31.15%, respectively, higher than that of the same period from 2007 to 2010 (χ2=8.06~405.43, all P<0.05). The positive rate of RSV was negatively correlated with mean temperature, volume of rainfall, duration of sunshine and wind velocity (r=-0.799~-0.214, all P<0.05). Only mean temperature had a signiifcant impact on RSV activity by a stepwise multiple regression (P<0.001). Conclusions The date indicated that RSV was still an important etiological agent for acute lower respiratory infection in infants and young children in Suzhou area during winter and spring. The incidence of RSV was associated with the climate in Suzhou.
4.Review of Leucopenia Treated by Acupuncture and Moxibustion from 1949 to 2004

To promote acupuncture practice, the general situation of acupuncture in treating leucopenia between 1949-2004 were analyzed on the basis of Chinese Modern Acupuncture Database. From 1981, references of acupuncture treating leucopenia increased annually and steadily.In clinic, hydroacupuncture, needling, and moxibustion are widely used, and the selected acupoints are those of Bladder Meridian of Foot Taiyang and Governor Vessel. Acupuncture-moxibustion have a good therapeutic effects on leucopenia.
5.The clinical value of postoperative aerobic exercise and psychological intervention on postoperative rehabilitation in patients with breast cancer

Objective To investigate the clinical values of postoperative aerobic exercise and psychological intervention in patients with breast cancer after operation.Methods One hundred patients with breast cancer admitted to our hospital were prospectively studied.All patients underwent modified radical mastectomy and were randomly assigned into observation group (50 cases)and control group (50 cases).The patients in the observation group were treated with aerobic exercise and psychological intervention,and the health education was given in the control group. The 3 -month postoperative self -rating anxiety scale score,self -rating depression scale score,shoulder mobility, degree of limb edema and 6 -month postoperative health related quality of life (SF -36)of the two groups were observed.Results There were no significant differences between the two groups in preoperative self -rating anxiety scale score,self -rating depression scale score,degree of limb edema and health related quality of life (all P >0.05).However,the self -rating anxiety scale score of the observation group three months after operation significantly decreased compared with the control group[(40.94 ±9.20)points vs.(45.84 ±8.79)points,t =2.722,P =0.008];self -rating anxiety scale score significantly decreased[(40.18 ±9.96)points vs.(45.28 ±8.67)points,t =2.730, P =0.008];the degree of limb edema was significantly reduced[(10.00 ±6.27)mL vs.(18.52 ±7.20)mL,t =6.313,P =0.000].The health related quality of life 6 months after operation was significantly improved[(78.70 ± 8.85)points vs.(72.02 ±9.76)points,t =3.584,P =0.001 ].Compared with the control group,the shoulder flexion,extension,abduction,external rotation and internal rotation of the observational group were significantly increased at 3 months after operation (all P <0.05 ).Conclusion Postoperative rehabilitation and psychological intervention contribute to the rapid recovery in patients with breast cancer after operation.
6.Increasing activity of a monoamine oxidase by random mutation.

The monoamine oxidase mutant A-1 (F210V/L213C) from Aspergillus niger showed some catalytic activity on mexiletine. To futher improve its activity, the mutant was subjected to directed evolution with MegaWHOP PCR (Megaprimer PCR of Whole Plasmid) and selection employing a high-throughput agar plate-based colorimetric screen. This approach led to the identification of a mutant ep-1, which specific activity was 189% of that for A-1. The ep-1 also showed significantly improved enantioselectivity, with the E value increased from 101 to 282; its kinetic k(cat)/K(m) value increased from 0.001 51 mmol/(L x s) to 0.002 89 mmol/(L x s), suggesting that catalytic efficiency of ep-1 had been improved. The mutant showed obviously higher specific activities on 7 of all tested 11 amines substrates, and the others were comparable. Sequence analysis revealed that there was a new mutation T162A on ep-1. The molecular dynamics simulation indicated that T162A may affect the secondary structure of the substrate channel and expand the binding pocket.

7.Effect of bone mesenchymal stem cells on lidocaine-induced apoptosis in rat dorsal root ganglion cells in vitro

Objective To evaluate the effect of bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) on lidocaine-induced apoptosis in dorsal root ganglion cells (DRGCs) of rats in vitro.Methods DRGCs in the logarithmic phase were incubated in culture plates at the density of 2 × 104 cells/cm2 (27 wells in total).DRGCs were randomly divided into 3 groups (n =9 each) using a random number table:control group (group C),lidocaine treatment group (group L) and BMSC treatment group (group B).The DRGCs in group C were incubated routinely without lidocaine,while the DRGCs were incubated for 2 h with lidocaine with the final concentration of 50 mmol/L in L and B groups.The DRGCs were then incubated normally in group L.The DRGCs were then co-cultured with the BMSCs which were incubated in Transwell chambers with the density of 2 × 104 cells/cm2 in group B.DRGCs were collected at 48 h of incubation for detection of apoptosis by flow cytometry.Apoptosis rate was calculated.Results Compared with group C,the apoptosis rate was significantly increased in L and B groups (P < 0.05).The apoptosis rate was significantly lower in group B than in group L (P < 0.05).Conclusion BMSCs can reduce lidocaine-induced apoptosis in DRGCs of rats in vitro,indicating that BMSCs may reduce local anesthetics-produced toxicity to the peripheral nerve.
8.New features in drug resistance of Haemophilus inlfuenzae isolated from children with infection diseases in Suzhou during 2011-2012

Objectives To investigate the changes and features of drug resistance in Haemophilus inlfuenzae (Hi) isolated from children with infection diseases in Suzhou. Methods One thousand two hundred and twenty-two Hi strains isolated from clinical specimens were collected from January 2011 to June 2012. Antimicrobial susceptibility was tested by Kirby-Bauer me-thod, andβ-lactamase was analyzed by chromogenic nitroceifn method. Then strains were divided into four groups according to their speciifc resistance patterns:①β-lactamase positive strains (except for cefuroxime-resistant strains),②β-lactamase negative ampicillin-resistant (BLNAR) strains,③cefuroxime-resistant strains, and④other resistant strains. Results The resistance of iso-lated Hi from children in Suzhou area to ampicillin, co-trimoxazole, cefaclor, tetracycline, chloramphenicol, azithromycin, cefu-roxime, ampicillin/sulbactam was 32.7%, 76.7%, 27.4%, 14.3%, 10.2%, 8.4%, 6.9%and 4.3%, respectively, and the detection rate in four groups was 29.0%, 2.6%, 6.9%, 41.2%, respectively. Multi-resistant strains were mainly distributed in Group①and Group②, accounting for 67.5%and 81.3%of each group. Azithromycin, tetracycline and chloramphenicol showed high antimicrobial activity against BLNAR and cefuroxime-resistant Hi strains. The positive rate of resistance toβ-lactamase was 30.8%. The rates of resistance to cefuroxime, cefaclor, ampicillin/sulbactam and cotrimoxazole inβ-lactamase-positive ampicillin-resistant strains are signiifcantly different from those inβ-lactamase-negative ampicillin-resistant strains. Conclusions The resistance feature of Hi isolated from children in Suzhou shows signiifcant changes, including new appearance of cefuroxime-resistant strain, a rapid increase in resistance to azithromycin, and a large proportion of multidrug-resistant strains. The rapid increase in BLNAR and the emergence of cefuroxime-resistant strains have become the new resistance pattern of Hi in this area.
9.Genotyping analysis of epidemic strains ofMycoplasma pneumoniae in Suzhou area

ObjectiveTo analyze the genotype and variation ofMycoplasma pneumonia (MP) strains isolated from chil-dren with MP infection in Soochow area.MethodsThe nasopharyngeal secretions from hospitalized children with MP infection were collected during January 2012 and December 2013. The nested-multiplex PCR based on MPP1 gene was performed to detect the subtype ofMP gene.ResultsIn 313 samples, 304 (97.12 %) samples were classiifed as P1-I type and 8 (2.56%) sam-ples were classiifed as P1-II type and one (0.32%) was V2 variant. Gene sequencing results were consistent with nested-multiple PCR results.ConclusionsNested-multiplex PCR is a reliable method for genotyping of MPP1 gene. During the study period, P1-I type was the common genotype and only one case of V2 variant was found.
10.Karyotyping analysis of 396 newborns with congenital malformations and chromosomal abnormalities and the associated phenotypes

Objective To reveal the chromosome abnormalities and their relationship with the clinical phenotype of neonates with congenital malformation.Methods Karyotype analysis of peripheral blood lymphocytes was performed on 396 newborns with congenital malformation,who were recruited at the Children's Hospital Affiliated to Soochow University from Jan.2006 to May 2012,chromosome karyotypes were prepared with neonatal peripheral lymphocytes by conventional G-banding technique.Results 1.Of 396 newborns,159 (40.2%) cases were detected to have chromosomal abnormalities,including karyotype first reported domestically and internationally in 3 cases.2.Trisomy-21 (Down's syndrome),which was the most common abnormal karyotype,was seen in 130 cases,accounting for 81.8%,of whom 119 cases show the standard type,10 cases accompanied by the Robertsonian translocation involving group D or group G,and 1 case accompanied by sexual chromosomal abnormality:inv(Y) (p1 1 q 1 1),+ 21.3.Other common karyotype abnormalities were as follows:del (5) (p 1 2-14) (cats cry syndrome) in 4 cases,trisomy-18 (Edwards syndrome)in 4 cases,45,XO (Turner' s syndrome) in 4 cases,inv (9) (p1 1 q1 2-21) in 4 cases,trisomy-X (super female syndrome) in 1 case,rob(13;14) in 1 case,trisomy-8 in 1 case and del(18) (q22) in 1 case.4.Special faces were seen in 147 cases (92.5 %),congenital heart disease in 97 cases (61.0%),low birth weight in 72 cases (45.3 %),congenital anal atresia in 13 cases(8.1%),multiple malformations in 11 cases (6.8%),intestinal malformations in 10 cases (6.2%),extrinsic genital abnormalities in 9 cases(5.7%),meow-like cry in 4 cases(2.5%),limb edema in 4 cases (2.5%),fingers and toe abnormalities in 6 cases(3.6%),congenital brain dysplasia in 6 cases (3.6%),webbed neck in 5 cases(3.1%) and cleft lip and palate in 3 cases(1.8%).Conclusions Chromosomal abnormality is an important factor leading to neonatal birth defects,of which special face,congenital heart disease,low birth weight,and multiple malformations are the main clinical manifestations of chromosomal diseases.
