High expression of Fightless I (FLII) is associated to multiple tumors. Based on our previous study that FLII might be involved in the nuclear export, we assessed the possible interaction of FLII with the nuclear envelop associating proteins Importin β and Nup88. We first constructed GST-FLII, GST-LRR recombinant plasmids and transformed them into the Rosetta strain to produce GST-FLII, GST-LRR fusion protein. After purification of these proteins, GST-pull down, as well as co-immunoprecipitation, were used to test the interaction of FLII with Importin β and Nup88. FLII interacted with Importin β and Nup88, and FLII LRR domain is responsible for these interactions. Thus, FLII may play a role in nuclear export through interaction with Importin β and Nup88.

Trousseau′s syndrome(TS) is a complication of cancer-associated thrombosis caused by hypercoagulability. A 58-years female patient admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University on October 2020 and diagnosed with Trousseau′s syndrome was reported. This was a patient with pancreatic malignant tumor. On the second day of admission, the mouth angle was distorted and the speech was vague. Craniocerebral MR showed multiple DWI high signals in the brain parenchyma, and brain MR enhancement showed no abnormal enhancement in the brain parenchyma. The patient was considered to be Trousseau′s syndrome. Using "Trousseau′s syndrome" and "cerebral infarction" as key words, the relevant literature was searched in CNKI, Wanfang and PubMed databases from January 2011 to June 2021, total of 76 cases of Trousseau′s syndrome complicated with cerebral infarction were reported in the literature. Among 77 cases (including one in this study) 36 were males and 41 were females, with a median age of 63 years old. The most common tumor type was lung adenocarcinoma (24 cases, 31.2 %). The mean D-dimer level was (17.3±12.8) mg/L, Craniocerebral CT or MRI showed that 57 cases (74.0 %) had bilateral multiple lesions; and 56 cases received anticoagulant therapy. A total of 68 patients were followed up, with a median survival time of 90 days, and one year overall survival rate was 32.6 %. The study indicates that for cerebral infarction with significantly elevated D-dimer level and multiple vascular involvement, malignant tumors should be considered.

Objective To explore the clinical effects of transvaginal acupoint injection in the treatment of chronic pelvic pain induced by pelvic floor myofascitis. Methods All 80 patients with pelvic floor myofascitis were randomly assigned to an observation group and a control group, with 40 patients in each group. The observation group was given the treatment of transvaginal pain spot injection, and the control group was given transvaginal non-pain spot injection. Changes of clinical symptoms, signs, pain scores and other indices before the treatment, 1 week and 2 weeks after the treatment between the two groups of patients were observed and compared. Results Comparison of pain scores between the treatment group and the control group before the treatment was not significantly different (P>0.05); pain scores after the treatment in the two groups were significantly lower compared to those before the treatment, and the differences in the two groups were both significant (P<0.01). The curative effects in the treatment group were better than those in the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion Transvaginal acupoint injection is able to significantly alleviate chronic pelvic pain induced by pelvic floor myofascitis, but accurate pain spot injection is required.

PURPOSE: The aim of this study is to explore signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) expression in breast cancer and to analyze the detailed mechanism that STAT3 contributes to the progression of breast cancer. METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed the clinicopathologic characteristics and overall survival (OS) of 140 breast cancer patients after curative surgery, and detected STAT3 expression, phosphorylated STAT3 (pSTAT3) expression, Ki-67 expression, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-C and -D expression in breast cancer tissues, and adjacent nontumor tissues. Survival analysis and relationship analysis were adopted for demonstrated the important mechanism of STAT3 contribution to progression of breast cancer. RESULTS: STAT3 expression, pSTAT3 expression, Ki-67 expression, VEGF-C expression, and VEGF-D expression in breast cancer tissues were significantly higher than those in adjacent nontumor tissues, respectively. With survival analysis, only number of lymph node metastasis (N stage) was identified as the independent predictors of the OS of breast cancer patients. Besides, we demonstrated there was the most prominent correlation between STAT3 expression and lymph node metastasis in breast cancer tissues by using the multinominal regression method. CONCLUSION: STAT3, a poor survival biomarker potential association with lymph node metastasis, was suitable for predication the OS of breast cancer patients after curative resection.

Objective:To evaluate an intelligent voice call system in popularizing knowledge of prevention and control of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) for chronic disease patients in the community. Methods:An intelligent voice call system for popularization of scientific knowledge of COVID-19 and protective measures was developed in Fangzhuang Community Health Service Center of Beijing Fengtai district, in which 12 popular education modules ware designed and 3-6 core points were extracted from each module. During January 23 to January 29, 2020, the system was applied to send voice calls and text messages to all contracted chronic disease patients in Fangzhuang community with popular science education in different time points. Using equidistant sampling method, 400 participants were selected from the patients of successful voice outbound calls. The intelligent voice outbound system was used to investigate the participants′ COVID-19 knowledge levels, the main sources of knowledge and satisfaction with education. The outbound results of the above indicators were queried from the database of the intelligent voice outbound system. Results:A total of 98 487 voice outbound calls were effectively connected, the average call duration per person was 2.24 minutes, and the total call duration was equivalent to 488.5 workdays. A total of 141 201 messages were sent, with a read rate of 97.8% (141 201/144 405) . After the voice outbound education, the participants′ scores in answering the questionnaire on 12 popular science knowledge modules ware all significantly increased compared to those before the education ( t=22.4, 27.5, 24.3, 31.2, 25.6, 18.9, 22.5, 27.3, 28.1, 26.4, 15.2, 22.6, all P<0.01) ; 94.8% (235/248) of participants′ knowledge of COVID-19 mainly came from voice call. In addition, the patient′s overall satisfaction with the application of the intelligent voice call system for popularizing science education was 90.8% (225/248). Conclusions:The knowledge levels of COVID-19 and its prevention and control measures effectively have been improved among the community chronic disease patients with the application of an intelligent voice outbound system. Moreover, this mode is highly acceptable to patients, which would be introduced to other urban communities in China.
