1.Influence of Telephone Follow-up on Home Rehabilitation for Patients with Schizophrenia
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2013;19(2):170-173
Objective To explore the influence of telephone follow-up on home rehabilitation for patients with schizophrenia. Methods 200 patients with schizophrenia were assigned into experimental group and control group with 100 cases in each group. During their hospitalization, all patients were given conventional treating and nursing and were treated with atypical antipsychotic drugs. After getting a clinical recovery and discharge, the experimental group received telephone follow-up for 2 years while the control group received outpatient service follow-up. Results There was significant difference in scores of Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) in both groups with time (F=85.943, P=0.000). There was a significant interaction effect between intervention and time (F=6.458, P=0.000) and there was also a significant difference (F=26.012, P=0.000) between both groups on the scores of PANSS. At the end of the 6th, 12th, 18th and 24th month after discharge, the PANSS scores were significantly less in the experimental group than in the control group (P<0.05). The accumulative total relapse rate and frequency were significantly lower in the experimental group than in the control group anytime after discharge (P<0.05).Conclusion The telephone follow-up can significantly improve the effect of home rehabilitation for the patients with schizophrenia. It is beneficial for the patients to control disease and reduce the relapse.

Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of amisulpiride at low dosage combined with clozapine in the treatment of refractory schizophrenia. Methods:Totally 160 patients with refractory schizophrenia were chosen from the psychiatric department of 4 hospitals during January to September in 2014 and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 80 cases in each. The patients were treated with clozapine plus amisupiride or clozapine plus placebo for 12 weeks. The positive and negative syn-drome scale ( PANSS) and treatment emergent side effect scale ( TESS) was used to respectively evaluate the efficacy and the adverse effects. Results:At the weekend of the 4th, 8th and 12th week after the treatment, the clinical efficacy in the observation group was sig-nificantly better than that in the control group (all P<0. 05). The total and every factors scores of PANSS after the treatment were sig-nificantly lower than those before the treatment in both groups ( P<0. 01), and the decrease in the observation group was more signifi-cant than that in the control group (P<0. 05 or P<0. 01). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse effects be-tween the two groups (P>0. 05). Conclusion:Amisulpiride at low dosage combined with clozapine can significantly improve the effi-cacy in the treatment of refractory schizophrenia without added adverse effects.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) after pancreaticoduodenectomy and endoscopic selection strategies. Methods:Clinical data of 34 patients treated with ERCP after pancreaticoduodenectomy at the Endoscopic Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University from January 2013 to December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. The success rates of endoscopic insertion, diagnosis, treatment and ERCP, and the incidence of adverse events were analyzed. Results:Fifty ERCP treatments were performed in 34 patients. The success rates of endoscopic insertion, diagnosis, treatment, and ERCP after pancreaticoduodenectomy were 92.0% (46/50), 93.5% (43/46), 88.4% (38/43) and 76.0% (38/50), respectively. The success rates of ERCP assisted with colonoscope and balloon-assisted enterosocpe were 76.0% (19/25) and 75.0% (18/24), respectively. There were 3 adverse events, including 1 case of anastomotic mucosa tear during surgery, 1 case of cardiopulmonary arrest and 1 case of postoperative cholangitis. Conclusion:ERCP is effective and safe after pancreaticoduodenectomy in general. ERCP assisted with colonoscope and balloon-assisted colonoscope shows similar success rate after pancreaticoduodenectomy.

Expressed Sequence Tag (EST) analysis has pioneered genome-wide gene discovery and expression profiling. In order to establish a gene expression index in the rice cultivar indica, we sequenced and analyzed 86,136 ESTs from nine rice cDNA libraries from the super hybrid cultivar LYP9 and its parental cultivars. We assembled these ESTs into 13,232 contigs and leave 8,976 singletons. Overall, 7,497 sequences were found similar to existing sequences in GenBank and 14,711 are novel. These sequences are classified by molecular function, biological process and pathways according to the Gene Ontology. We compared our sequenced ESTs with the publicly available 95,000 ESTs from japonica, and found little sequence variation, despite the large difference between genome sequences. We then assembled the combined 173,000 rice ESTs for further analysis. Using the pooled ESTs, we compared gene expression in metabolism pathway between rice and Arabidopsis according to KEGG. We further profiled gene expression patterns in different tissues, developmental stages, and in a conditional sterile mutant, after checking the libraries are comparable by means of sequence coverage. We also identified some possible library specific genes and a number of enzymes and transcription factors that contribute to rice development.
