AIM To establish a RP-HPLC method for the simultaneous content determination of four constituents in Canarii Fructus.METHODS The analysis of Canarii Fructus methanol extract was performed on a 30 ℃ thermostatic Hypersil ODS column (4.6 mm × 200 mm,5 μm),with the mobile phase comprising of acetonitrile0.1％ phosphoric acid flowing at 1.0 mL/min in a gradient elution manner,and the detection wavelength was set at 237 nm.RESULTS Gallic acid,protocatechuic acid,chlorogenic acid and epicatechin displayed good linear relationships within the ranges of 0.525-10.500 μg/mL (r =0.999 9),0.700-14.000 μg/mL (r =0.999 9),0.575-11.500 μg/mL (r =0.999 9) and 0.550-11.000 μg/mL (r =0.999 9),whose average recoveries were 99.05％ (RSD=1.4％),98.73％ (RSD=0.8％),98.69％ (RSD=1.3％) and 99.47％ (RSD=1.1％),respectively.CONCLUSION This simple,sensitive and relible method can be used for the quality control of Canarii Fructus.

Objective To study the clinical effect of tamoxifen on the treatment of breast cystic hyperplasia.Methods 288 cases of breast cystic hyperplasia were entered randomly as experimental group,it was given tamoxifen 10mg～20mg Bid for 1～3 months;and control group,was given methyltestosterone l0mg Bid,the clinical effect of the two groups was compared.Results In experimental group,the cure rate was 45 5%(131/288),the obviously effective rate was 39 9%(115/288),the effective rate was 12 2%(35/288),and the inffective rate was 2 4%(7/288),the total efficiency was 97 6%(281/288),while the total efficiency in control group was 88%(132/150).There was significant difference in the two groups(P

With the development of peaple's life and the change of diet,the incidence rate of colorectal cancer is increasing. There are Twenty-five percent of patients were found liver metastases in the first diago-sis. Surgical resection of liver metastases from colorectal cancer is known to be associated with long term sur-vival. So it is the key to increase the resection rate for colorectal cancer patients with liver metastases. The in-curruence of neoadjuvant therapy may be useful in therapy of colorectal cancer patients with liver mtastases.

Objective: Our aim was to evaluate the biocompability of porcelain compounded with nanostructured material. Methods：The proliferation of the NIH3T3 cells were investigated using a tetrazolium-based colorimetric assay(MTT assay).Maceration extract of four tested materials were added into culture plate .The samples were tested with ultraviolet spectrophotometer in 490 wavelength at 1，3，5，7 days after the addition of extract. Morphology of these cells was also observed with phase-contrast microscope. Results： There was no obvious difference among three kinds of prosthetic materials in the optical absorbance and the cells growing in the extract showed normal morphology. Conclusion: The toxicity graduation of the porcelain compounded with nanostructured material is 0. This material has a good biocompability and can be used clinically.

Objective: To investigate correlation between the expression of Fas antigen in hemangioma and vascular malformation.Methods: Anvidin-biotin complex immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of Fas antigen in 31 cases hemangioma and 10 cases of vascular malformaton. Results: The expresson of Fas antigen was positive in hemangioma and negative in vascular malformation. Conclusion: The expression of Fas antigen might be related to the natural involution of hemangioma.

Objective To report a rare case of M3r subtype of acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL)with 3'-end of RARα (3'RARα) submicroscopic deletion, and the characters of morphologic, cytogenetic,molecular genetic and molecular biology studies. Methods Chromosomes of bone marrow (BM) cells were prepared with direct method and short-term culture method, and R-banding technique was used for karyotypic analysis. Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) assays were performed on fixed BM cells using the following specific DNA probes: CEP X/Y alpha satellite DNA probe, LSI PML-RARα dual-color dual-fusion and LSI RARα dual-color break apart probes. A quantitative real-time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was performed to detect the PML-RARα transcript. A multiplex nested RT-PCR was also performed, which may simultaneously detect the fusion genes derived from 29 chromosomal aberrations in acute leukemia including PML-RARα, PLZF-RARα and NPM-RARα fusion transcripts. Results R-banding analysis revealed a karyotype of 45,X,-Y[6]/46,XY[8], FISH using CEP X/Y probe further confirmed Y-chromosome loss. FISH analysis with RARα dual-color break apart probe demonstrated a deletion of the entire 3'-end of one allele of RARα gene. Cytogenetic, FISH and RT-PCR analyses showed no PML-RARα,PLZF-RARα, NPM-RARα, NuMA-RARα and STAT5b-RARα rearrangements. Conclusion A new RARαrearrangement involving 3'RARα submicroscopic deletion in APL without X-RARα fusion has been identified.FISH analysis with RARα dual-color break apart probe is a useful method for characterization of this abnormality, but its molecular consequences remain to be elucidated.

Objective To discuss the uterus artery embolization of uterine flesh tumour clinical curative effect and influence of ovarian function.Methods Participants included 52 routine uterine artery embolization of uterine flesh tumour patients,all patients were followed up for one year,observed the curative effects of all subjects and the influence of the rightness of ovarian function.Results After treatment,the results showed that the curative effects,after 3 months,6 months,12 months compared with the preoperative,uterine tumor size,volume were significantly smaller,menstrual cycle extended,menstrual quantity increased,uterine fibroids oppression,anemia patients were significantly reduced,the difference was statistically significant (t =3.23,3.18,x2 =2.98,4.57,4.42,2.18,respectively,P ＜ 0.05) ; And after treatment with the extension of time,the symptoms and signs of patients were distinct improvement,the difference was statistically significant (t =2.66,2.57,x2 =3.45,5.12,6.54,3.67,respectively,P ＜ 0.05).After treatment of ovarian function results showed that the effects,after 3 months,6 months,12 months compared with the preoperative,serum levels of estradiol (E2),progesterone (P),follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH),corpus luteum erythropoietin (LH),prolactin (PRL) level had no change,there were no statistically significant differences (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Uterine artery embolization for treatment in patients with uterine fibroids has obvious curative effect,and the influence of ovarian function is not obvious.
