1.Contrast-enhanced ultrasonography diagnostic value of the liver low-density focus on contrast-enhanced CT

Objective To discuss the contrast-enhanced ultrasonography diagnostic value of the liver low-density focus on contrast-enhanced CT. Methods The contrast-enhanced ultrasonography results of 47 cases of the liver low-density focus on contrast-enhanced CT. were retrospectively analyzed. Results The pathological diagnosis in 47 focuses was metastatic carcinoma 20 cases, inflammatory pseudotumour 9 cases,hepatic hemangioma 6 cases, primary liver carcinoma 4 cases, cyst 2 cases, abscess 2 cases, tuberculosis 2 cases, FNH (focal liver nodular hyperplasia) 1 case, local adipose tissue infiltration of liver 1 case. 45 cases of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography diagnosis was consistent with pathological or clinical diagnosis. Cysts and inflammatory pseudotumour had not ultrasound contrast enhancement in the entire phase, but the crossed blood vessels was observed in inflammatory pseudotumour. The local adipose infiltration of liver had synchronous ultrasound contrast enhancement accompanied with liver tissue enhancement. 80% (12/15) of liver metastases of lack of blood supply showed fast contrast enhancement around the tumour edge and homogeneous and light contrast enhancement in the tumour center. 80 % (4/5) of liver metastases of rich of blood supply showed heavy and rapid contrast enhancement in the whole tumour. The enhancement degree in bscess and tuberculosis in the ultrasound contrast enhancement was correlated with necrosis degree, which showed fast and uneven contrast enhancement, hepatic hemangioma showed gradually contrast enhancement from its edge to center, whose enhancement time lasted for longer time than that of metastatic tumour with a statistically difference. FNH showed a typical contrast enhancement pattern, fast enhancement and fast weakening from center to edge. Hepatic cell carcinoma showed fast enhancement and fast weakening in the whole tumour. Conclusion Contrast-enhanced ultrasonography have diagnostic value of CT liver focus of low-density, which is helpful for the differential diagnosis of such focus.
2.Curative effect observation of ultrasound guided celiac abscess puncture treatment

Objective:To observe curative effect of ultrasound guided celiac abscess puncture treatment, and evaluate the clinical curative effect of value.Methods: One hundred and twenty four cases with downward abdominal abscess puncture drainage guided by ultrasound and open drainage were collected randomly and divided into operation group and puncture group to explore the operation method and evaluate the postoperative effect.Results: The No. of puncture group with better curative effect of instituting is 49(79.0%), good effect No. is 11(17.7%), 2 cases (3.3%) got bad effect, fine rate was 96.8%; The No. of operation group with better curative effect of instituting is 10(16.1%), good effect No. is 31(50%), 21 cases(33.9%) got bad effect, fine rate was 66.1%; the results have significant difference(x2=19.270,P<0.01).Conclusion: Ultrasound-guided puncture can avoid blind puncture caused tissue damage, it has small trauma, simple operation, high safety. The characteristics of the curative effect is distinct, and has high value of clinical application.
3.Effect of adoptive immunotherapy with CIK cells combined with interleukin-2 on immunologic function and life qualities of patients with non-small cell lung cancer

Objective To investigate the changes of immunologic functions and life qualities after the auto-cytokine induced killer (CIK) cells combined with interleukin-2 (IL-2) being transfused back to the patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Methods Thirty-eight NSCLC patients were enrolled,and 19 patients received not only chemotherapy and radiotherapy but also adoptive immunotherapy with CIK cells combined with IL-2 compared with the other 19 patients who only accepted radiotherapy and chemotherapy.The changes of immunologic functions and life qualities after the CIK cells combined with IL-2 being transfused back to the patients with NSCLC were observed.Immune targets of the treatment group and control group,such as peripheral blood CD3 +,CD4 +,CD8 + T cell percentage,ratio of CD4 +/CD8 + and Th1/Th2,were observed at the end and after 3 month of the radiation and chemotherapy.Results Both of the two groups were neither having obvious adverse reactions.After CIK cells combined with IL-2 treatment,the life qualities of patients improved,such as 18 cases of mental improvement,15 cases of appetite improvement,12 cases of sleep improvement,and 3 cases of fatigue symptoms improvement.The percentage of CD3 +,CD4 + cells in the treatment group increased [(66.39 ± 9.22) % vs (42.98 ± 7.23) %,t =5.45,P =0.00 ; (32.27 ± 3.75) % vs (26.38 ±2.51)%,t =5.73,P =0.00],the percentage of CD8 + cells declined [(17.51 ± 1.85)% vs (20.90 ± 2.31) %,t =5.21,P =0.00],the rate of CD4 +/CD8 + increased and the rate of Th1/Th2 obversed [(1.86±0.32) vs (1.27±0.19),t=7.13,P=0.00;(1.15±0.48) vs (0.91 ±0.30),t=2.42,P=0.02].There were significant differences between the two groups.Conclusion Adoptive immunotherapy with CIK cells combined with IL-2 is safe in clinical,which can improve the immunologic functions and life qualities of the patients with NSCLC.
4.In Vitro Release of Evening Primrose Oil Microspheres

OBJECTIVE:To study the release characteristics of Evening primrose oil microspheres in vitro. METHODS:UV spectrophotometry was adopted to determine the accumulated release of microspheres under different media,and the drug release behaviors in vitro were fitted using zero-order,first-order and Higuchi equations. RESULTS:The accumulated release of microspheres in the gastrointestinal liquid (within 6 h) was up to(92.84?0.35)%;under the media of artificial gastric juice,the release of drug conformed to Higuchi equation:Q=5.941t1/2—11.083(r=0.991 7); under the media of artificial intestinal juice,the release of drug was in line with first-rate equation:ln(100—Q)=—0.487 4t+4.588(r=0.996 4). CONCLUSION:This method is simple,accurate and reproducible,and it can be used for the determination of the release rate of the Evening primrose oil microspheres.
5.EFFECTS OF DITHIZONE ON Zn METABOLISM IN MATERNAL RATS AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF BRAIN OF THEIR PUPS

The changes of zine content in serum and feces observed after intragastric administration of a certain dose of dithizone to the pregnant rats in their third trimester for one week, and the developing status of brain of their pups were studied. The result showed that the total fecal exerction of zine during 24 hours increased and serum zine content decreased significantly aftcr continual administration of dithizone for one week in maternal rats. It suggested that dithizone may be used for making animal model of zine deficiency. The body and brain weights, brain protein content and RNA/DNA ratio of the newborn delivered by the zine-deficiency maternal rats decrcased significantly. This indicates that the maternal zine dificiency in third trimester gives side effects on the development of their fctal brain.

Objective To discuss the uhrasonography and hemodynamic characteristics of carotid atherosclerosis in elderly patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods The 548 people were divided into CHD group (n = 373) and control group (n = 175) by the coronary angiography.And the patients in CHD group were sorted into myocardial infarction (MI) group (n= 160) and non-MI group (n= 213).All patients were above 60 years of age, and underwent carotid artery ultrasound examination.The data of carotid sonography and hemodynamics were classified and analyzed using SPSS 10.0 software.Results The carotid intima-media thickness (IMT), plaque thickness and score were much more in CHD group than in control group [(0.96±0.24) mm vs.(0.78±0.11) mm, (1.90±0.36) mm vs.(1.66±0.13)mm, (2.2±0.7) vs.(1.9±0.4), t= 14.81, 27.89 and 27.83, all P=0.00].A total of 161 (43.2%) patients had atherosclerotie plaques in CHD group, and there were 7 (4.0%) people with plaques in healthy control group(χ~2 =337.18, P =0.00).And there were 81.3% of patients with plaques in MI group, it was more than non-MI group, in which there were 12.9% of patients with plaques (χ~2 =60.88, P=0.00).The carotid peak systolic velocity (PSV) and resistance index (RI) were both higher in CHD group than in control group [(77.0±11.9) cm/s vs.(65.2±3.1) cm/s and 0.77±0.06 vs.0.67±0.08, (t= 12.26 and 50.43, P=0.00)].Conclusions Carotid ultrasonography could evaluate not only CHD, but also CHD severity in the elderly.

To study on the association between the different levels of C-peptide of type 2 diabetes and colorectal adenoma and cancer risk.We detected the concentration of serum C-peptide in 45 type 2 diabetes who were diagnosed as colorectal adenoma and cancer.It showed that serum C-peptide level was higher in type 2 diabetes with colorectal adenomas and cancer than without colorectal adenomas and cancer.The serum C-peptide level may have relationship with colorectal adenomas and cancer.
10.The expression and significance of Smad4 and Smad7 in newborn rats with hyperoxia-induced chronic lung diseases

Objective To investigate the expression and significance of Smad4 and Smad7 in newborn rats with hyperoxia-induced chronic lung disease(CLD).Methods Sixty-four newborn Wistar rats 12 h after birth were divided into high-oxygen group (n =32) and air group (n =32,control group) by random number table method.The high-oxygen group was placed in the oxygen glass tank with continuous infusion of oxygen.And 1,3,7,14 d after experiment,tracheal separated,the chest opened to expose heart and lung,slices were Masson staining,undergo dynamic observation of the pulmonary pathological changes under light microscope.Lung fibrosis score was carried out to determine the degree of pulmonary fibrosis,and immunohistochemical technique was used to detect Smad4 and Smad7 protein expression in lung tissue.The expression levels of Smad4 and Smad7 protein in lung tissue were detected with Western blot.Results Compared with the air group,there was statistically significant difference in pulmonary fibrosis score on day 7 (2.67 ± 0.21 vs 0.58 ± 0.17) and day 14 (4.48 ± 0.24 vs 0.63 ± 0.13) in high-oxygen group (P < 0.05) ; Smad4 and Smad7 was main in visible lung epithelial cells and interstitial fibroblasts.Smad4 expression in the high-oxygen group gradually enhanced,compared with the air group (P < 0.05) on day 7 (122.35 ± 10.3 vs 140.08 ±7.77) and day 14(129.7 ± 7.33 vs 144.99 ± 6.49).Smad7 expression in the high-oxygen group first increased and then decreased,expression in the high-oxygen group increased on day 7 (122.35 ± 10.29 vs 130.56 ±9.8),and compared decreased with the air group(P <0.05) on day 14(132.16 ±4.38 vs 126.22 ±6.49).Conclusion The newborn rat exposed hyperoxia,the up-regulation of Smad4 protein expression and the down-regulation of Smad7 protein expression are imposible closely related to the happen and development of CLD pulmonary fibrosis.
