1.Factors related to the duration of forced eruption of impacted maxillary canines
Journal of Practical Stomatology 2015;(1):85-87
Objective:To identify the factors that affect the duration of forced eruption of the impacted maxillary canines. Methods:Data of 46 successfully treated impacted maxillary canines with forced eruption were included. The relation of duration of forced eruption and the age of the patients(y),the distance between the impacted maxillary canine cusp tip and the occlusal plane(d),the angle be-tween the axis of the impacted maxillary canine and the occlusal plane(α),mesiodistal position of the canine cusp tip in relation to the adjacent teeth(ZB),the angle between the canine axis and the lateral incisor axis(β)was analyzed. Results:The results indicated a direct correlation of the duration of forced eruption with the patient age and d value, the more mesial location of the canine cusp tip to the midline, the longer treatment time was needed. In contrast, there was an inverse correlation between the duration of forced eruption and αvalue. Conclusion:The patient's age and the position of the impacted maxillary canines are the important predictors of the dura-tion of the forced eruption.

This study descriptively illustrated the definition of certified hand therapist, eligibility requirement and accreditation system based on the official guidelines from American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT), Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC) and Handbook of Certified Hand Therapy Examination. Besides, this exam was compared with National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and Occupational Therapist Registered Examination (OTR Exam). The testing domains and contents may help the domestic teaching faculty to standardize the course syllabi, promote divided development of physical therapy and occupational therapy in a specialized manner, and ex-erted positive impact for promoting establishment of the hand specialists and accreditation system of China itself.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2017;23(7):859-864
Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) Exam is established and managed under the national certification body for occupa-tional therapy professionals-National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). The OTR Exam is designed based on reg-ular practical analysis on the entry-level front-line occupational therapists in the United States, conducted by the Certification Examination Development Committee (CEDC). The panel will follow four steps, including drafting the exam blueprint, designing the questions, rounds of discussion and validation and finally putting the questions into confidential question bank for random selection by computer during exam. The OTR Exam is featured by its close relevance and update with clinical status of the States, high-standard professional requirement based on broadest public consensus within the profession as well as its evidence-based and scientific procedure throughout the designing process, which may benefit the development and standardization of Occupational Therapy Profession in China.

Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2011;17(3):200-202
Objective To observe the anatomy of the inferior right hepatic veins (IRHV).Methods The IRHVs were divided into 3 groups according to the location where they entered into the retrohepatic inferior vena cava at: the upper 1/3, middle or lower 1/3. The incidence, number, caliber, extrahepatic length and the relationship between the major hepatic veins (the right, middle and the left hepatic veins) and the IRHV were observed and measured in 60 adult cadavers. Results The incidence of IRHV was 83.33% with an average diameter of 2.62-18.46(14.32±1.21)mm. Its extrahepatic length was 3.26-47.65 (10.78±7.81)mm. There was a marked negative correlation between the diameter of the IRHV and its number, a marked negative correlation between the diameter of the IRHV and the diameter of the right hepatic vein and a marked positive correlation between the number of the IRHV and the diameter of the right hepatic vein. Conclusions There were high variations in the incidence and anatomy of the IRHV which were related to the diameter of the right hepatic vein. The IRHV was not to be torn during liver resection and should be reconstructed in right liver grafts.

Xue MENG ; Zhensheng DENG ; Xin GUO
Chinese Journal of Medical Physics 2010;27(2):1726-1730
Objective: An automatic seamless stitching method with spinal X-ray image sequence is presented in this paper. Methods: First, biorthogonal wavelet transform is used to implement decomposing of the multi-resolution and the effective edge of the image can be extracted by this method combined with Canny operator. The feature points of the image can be obtained by calculating the edge contour matrix E and the value matrix H. Second, the roughly matching of feature points can be achieved by using Normalized Cross Correlation (NCC) algorithm and the random sample consensus (RANSAC) algorithm is introduced to remove false matching pairs and to achieve precisely matching. Third, the image sequence is automatically sorted with the improved genetic algorithm to achieve automatic stitching. At last, the weighted average fusion algorithm is appfied to achieve smooth and seamless image stitching. This algorithm is robust for the weak-contrast X-ray image sequence. Results: Experimental results show that high-quality and fast image sequence stitching can be obtained automatically by using this method. Conclusions: To a certain extent, it overcomes the shortcomings of X-ray image sequence such as the strong image noise, concentration of values ofpixels, blurred boundaries, large overlap area and the sequence constraint, and therefore it may be applied to in medical imaging field widely.

Modern Hospital 2015;(8):53-56
Objective To investigate the application value of Atlas titanium cable in the treatment of comminuted patellar fractures (CPF).Methods 80 patients with CPF in our hospital from January, 2010 to January, 2013 were randomly selected and divided into observation group (n=40) and control group (n=40) by digital random method.Observation group adopted Atlas tita-nium cable internal fixation treatment while control group adopted the improved tension band steel wire in the hollow compression screws fixation treatment.Preoperative (t0), postoperative 1 month (t1), 6 months (t2) and 1 year (t3) Bostman patellar injury curative effect score (BPICES), operation time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative knee joint exercise time for the first time, length of hospital stay, treatment costs and complications of two groups were compared. Results Preoperative BPICES of two groups had no statistical significant difference (p>0.05).Compared with t0, t2 and t3 BPICES and the rate of optimal curative effects, two groups increased; Compared with the control group, t2 and t3 BPICES and the rate of optimal curative effects of observation group also increased, and the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05).Operation time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative knee joint exercise time for the first time, length of hospital stay of observation group were (52.26 ±10.29) min, (70.48 ±10.49) ml, (4.78 ±1.48) d and (5.98 ±1.06) d respectively, which were lower than the (79.95 ±8.42) min, (123.36 ±21.18) ml, (9.14 ±4.48) d and (11.18 ±2.68) d of the control group;Therapy cost of observation group was (16 284.47 ±2 145.78) Yuan, which was higher than the (9 892.48 ±1 456.42) Yuan of the control group (p <0.05).Compared with control group, peptide wire/wire Piercing the skin, pain, infection, skin irritation, slippery bursa phlogistic, internal fixation of fracture parted, fracture end separation and other complications total incidence of observation group were lower (p<0.05).Conclusion Atlas titanium wire trea-ting of patients with CPF had shorter operation time and hospitalization time , less postoperative complications. It can promote the rapid recovery of knee joint function, but its cost is higher. Thus it is suitable for CPF patients with better economic conditions .
