Cyclosporine A( CsA) , as an immune inhibitor, is commonly used after organ transplantation. It has been found that the long-term use of CsA produced serious testicular toxicity and affected the fertility of organ transplantation patients. In order to investigate male reproductive damage induced by CsA, this article reviews its impact on reproductive organ development, its damage mechanism on the male reproductive system and drug research for alleviating its reproductive toxicity. It helps to make medical workers pay more attention to reproductive toxicity produced by CsA and make their efforts to develop some special drugs to lessen CsA reproductive toxicity.

Aim: To prepare a novel contraceptive patch containing gestodene(GEST) and ethinylestradiol(EE), and to study the in vitro characterization and in vivo contraceptive effect. Methods: Double-layer technique was applied to sustain steady 7-day permeation flux of drugs. Polariscope examination was carried out to observe the drug distribution behavior in the patch. Uniformity, adhesion, skin irritation, release and permeation tests were conducted to evaluate in vitro characterization. Anti-implantation and anti-fertility experiments were carried out to investigate its contraceptive effect. Results: The in vitro release profiles of both drugs were in accordance with Higuchi equation. The daily permeated amount of GEST per 10 cm2 patch was about 75 μg while the amount of EE was 30 μg.The in vitro transdermal permeation of both drugs from the patches displayed a zero-order process. Permeation rate constants were 0. 377 μg/(cm2·h) for GEST, and 0. 092 μg/(cm2· h) for EE, respec-tively. After transdermal administration, the embryonic number of the test groups was zero, and the uterus coefficients of those groups were significantly reduced compared with those of the control group (P < 0. 01). Conclusion: Double-layer transdermal drug delivery system(TDDS) could allow the steady 7-day permeation flux of drugs when the drug ratio between the immediate-release layer and the reservoir layer was 1:4. In vivo charac-terization demonstrated its contraceptive effects. The prepared novel patch might be a promising non-oral contra-ceptive preparation.

Objective:To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy and clinical applicability of the Simple Five item Scoring Scale for Sarcopenia (SARC-F) by systematic review and Meta-analysis.Methods:PubMed, The Cochrane Library, Wed of science, EMBASE, MEDLINE, Ovid, China HowNet database, China biomedical data, VIP database and Wanfang database were searched by computer, and all the researches related to SARC-F questionnaire's diagnosis of sarcopenia from the establishment of the database to March 1, 2020 were collected. Two researchers independently selected literature, extracted data, and evaluated the bias risk of the study. Revman 5.3 software, Stata16.0software were used to comprehensively evaluate the diagnostic value of SARC-F questionnaire for sarcopenia. Results:A total of 13 studies involving 8 860 patients were included. The results of meta-analysis showed that the sensitivity and specificity of the diagnostic criteria established by the European Working Group of Sarcopenia, the Asian Working Group for Sarcopenia and the International Working Group for Sarcopenia were used as the gold standard. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.71, 0.69 and 0.67 respectively, and the Q-index was 0.659 3, 0.650 9 and 0.631 6.Conclusion:SARC-F questionnaire has a certain value in the screening and diagnosis of sarcopenia. In the future research, it is suggested to add the simple measurement of muscle quality on the basis of this scale to improve the accuracy of the questionnaire screening

Influenza is a worldwide infectious disease caused by influenza virus. It has posed great challenges on public health and social stability since 1918. At present, vaccination is the most effective way to prevent and control influenza epidemics. Broad-spectrum antiviral drugs and neutralizing antibodies against influenza virus have been widely studied in recent years. Hemagglutinin (HA), which is on the surface of influenza virus, plays an important role in the stage of viral invasion into host cells. It is the main effective antigenic component of current influenza vaccines, as well as the main target of broad-spectrum neutralizing antibodies and broad-spectrum antiviral drugs. This review summarized the progress in the development of novel influenza vaccines, neutralizing antibodies, and antiviral drugs based on influenza virus HA, as well as other prevention and control measures, hoping to present new ideas for future influenza prevention and control.

Objective:To investigate the preoperative evaluation and treatment methods of non-firearm penetrating brain injury (PBI) in children. Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed. The clinical data of 18 children with non-firearm PBI admitted to our hospital from January 2012 to December 2020 were collected. Results:CT angiography was performed in 10 patients and MRI in 8 patients before treatment. CT angiography indicated that the intracranial large vessels were not injured by the foreign bodies. The foreign bodies of 7 patients were removed by craniotomy and the foreign bodies of 3 patients were removed directly under general anesthesia; the foreign bodies of 8 patients were removed directly outside the hospital without anesthesia. Cerebrospinal fluid leakage was noted in 4 patients and intracranial infection in 7 patients after surgery; no foreign body residue or intracranial hemorrhage after surgery was noted. After 3-69 months of follow-up, 3 patients had visual decline, one had limited eye movement, and one had olfactory decline. Conclusion:CT angiography is a safe and effective evaluation method for children with non-firearm PBI, and direct extraction of foreign body under general anesthesia is a feasible surgical method when CT angiography shows that the blood vessels are not hurted by the foreign bodies.
