60 years) received parenteral nutritional support in the period of perioperation. When parenteral nutrition was applied, average non protein calorie intake was 85.4 kJ/(kg?d), and NPC∶N value was 118∶1. Results:PA,TRF and electrolyte were significantly increased after parenteral nutritional support. The nutritional indices did not change and were kept within normal range during parenteral nutrition. Conclusions:Parenteral nutrition is one of the important perioperative treatments in elderly patients with obstruction caused by colon cancer. It is safe and effective to use parenteral nutrition with low fat and glucose in elderly patients.

To study the chemical constituents of Asarum himalaicum, fifteen compounds were isolated from a 70% ethanol extract by using a combination of various chromatographic techniques including column chromatography over silica gel, Sephadex LH-20, and semi-preparative HPLC. By spectroscopic techniques including 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and HR-ESI-MS, these compounds were identified as 4-demethoxyaristolochic acid BII (1), aristolochic acid I (2), aristolochic acid Ia (3), 7-hydroxyaristolochic acid I (4), aristolochic acid IV (5), aristolic acid II (6), debilic acid (7), aristololactam I (8), 9-hydroxyaristololactam I (9), 7-methoxyaristololactam IV (10), (2S)-narigenin-5, 7-di-O-beta-D-pyranosylglucoside (11), 4-hydroxybenzoic acid (12), 3, 4-dihydroxybenzoic acid (13), 4-hydroxycinnamic acid (14), and beta-sitosterol (15). All of these compounds (1-15) were obtained from A. himalaicum for the first time. Among them, 1 was identified as a new compound, and compounds 3-6, 9, 12-14 were isolated from Asarum genus for the first time. Since the kidney toxicity of aristolochic acids and aristololactams has been reported, the result of this investigation suggests that it should be cautioned to use A. himalaicum as a medicine.

Objective To explore the association of serum uric acid level with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) in Han and Uyghur ethnic groups. Methods A cross-sectional study was performed in the population in 2011 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University. The study included 2439 Uyghurs and 2285 Hans with a questionnaire survey, and body mass index (BMI),waist circumference, blood pressure, blood glucose, blood lipid, and serum uric acid (SUA) level were measured. The participants were divided into 4 groups according to the quartiles of the SUA levels within the normal range, and those with SUA levels above the normal range served as hyperuricemia group. The associations between serum uric acid level and prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver, hyperuricemia, and metabolic syndrome (MS,including each component of MS) were analyzed. Results Among Uyghurs and Hans, the detection rates of NAFLD were 26.7% and 23.6% respectively, the detection rates of hyperuricemia were 7.8% and 18.2%,and the level of serum uric acid in Uyghur group was lower than that in Han group (P<0.01).The detection rate of NAFLD in the hyperuricemia patients was significantly higher than that in nonhyperuricemia group.Among the Uyghurs and Hans, the detection rates of NAFLD in the hyperuricenia patients were 24.0% and 19.9%.The detection rate of NAFLD was positively associated with concentration of serum acid even that within the normal range. Conclusion The relationship between the level of serum uric acid and the prevalence of NAFLD is more evident in Uyghur than that in Han.

Objective To observe the serum cyclophilin A(CyPA)level change in the patients with coronary heart disease (CHD)and to investigate its clinical significance. Methods 64 patients with CHD(CHD group)were divided into three groups ac-cording to the clinical types:stable angina pectoris(SAP)group, unstable angina pectoris(UAP)group and acute myocardial infarc-tion(AMI)group;which were divided into three groups according to the coronary artery lesion range:single vessel lesion group, double vessels lesions group and multi vessels lesions group;while 26 controls with normal coronary arteries were select as the con-trol group.Serum levels of CyPA and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9 )were detected by ELISA,and C-reactive protein(CRP) concentration was detected by the immune scattering turbidimetry test. Results The CyPA,MMP-9 and CRP levels in the CHD group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.01);the CyPA and CRP levels in the AMI group and the UAP group were significantly higher than those in the control group and the SAP group(P<0.05),the CyPA and CRP levels had no statistically significant difference between the SAP group and the control group(P>0.05);serum CyPA,MMP-9 and CRP levels in the single vessel lesion group, the double vessels lesion group, multi vessels lesion group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),serum CyPA,MMP-9 and CRP levels were elevated with the increase of coronary artery lesion vessels (P<0.05).In the CHD group, serum CyPA with MMP-9 and CRP showed the significantly positive correlation(r=0.772,0.749, P<0.01).Conclusion Serum CyPA level is significantly increased in the patients with CHD,CyPA may have some relationship to CHD and the plaque stability.

Chinese Journal of Nephrology 2014;(12):925-932
Objective To explore the expression of DC?SIGN, the phenotype of dendritic cells (DCs), on podocytes, and its role in immune and inflammatory responses of lupus nephritis (LN). Methods DC?SIGN and IgG1 expression in renal tissues of lupus nephritis patients were observed by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. The 4?week old LN mice were randomly divided into the experimental group and the intervention group. C57BL/6J mice were used as normal control group. Mice of the intervention group were injected anti?DC?SIGN antibody at 6?week old. Mice were sacrificed at 16, 20, 24, 28?week old respectively, to observe the mice renal function and pathological changes. And DC?SIGN and IgG1 expression in renal tissue were observed by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. In addition, mice podocytes were treated with serum of LN mice. Flow cytometry was used to investigate the expression of MHC II, CD80 and DC?SIGN expression on podocytes. Mixed lymphocyte reaction was used to detect the ability of stimulating T cells proliferation. IFN?gamma and IL?4 in supernatant were determined by ELISA. Results (1) Expression of DC?SIGN and IgG1 was found in glomeruli of lupus nephritis patients. (2) Accompanied by increased proteinuria of LN mice from 20?week old (P<0.01), DC?SIGN and IgG1 expression was found in glomeruli, and the renal function deteriorated up to 24 week?old (P<0.01). Mice with anti?DC?SIGN antibody intervention appeared reduced proteinuria and remission of renal function (P<0.01). (3) After stimulated by serum of LN mice, the expression of DC?SIGN, MHC II and CD80 was up?regulated, stimulation of T cell proliferation was enhanced (P<0.01), and IFN?gamma/IL?4 ratio increased (P<0.01). Anti?DC?SIGN antibody treatment down?regulated the expressions of DC?SIGN, MHC II and CD80 on podocytes, decreased the ability of stimulating T cell proliferation and lowered the ratio of IFN?gamma/IL?4 (P<0.01). Conclusions Podocytes in lupus nephritis can play DC?like function through the expression of DC?SIGN, which may be involved in immune and inflammatory responses of renal tissue. However, inhibiton of DC?SIGN can depress immune function of podocytes and have prevention and treatment effect.
