3.Progression on response and prognosis of lung cancer and single nucleotide polymorphism
China Oncology 2006;0(12):-
Single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)is the single base pair variation in genomic DNA that occurs in more than 1% of the general population.SNPs sometimes cause structural and functional changes in protein encoded by the gene.In the treatment of malignant tumors,SNPs may be key factors in determining responses and prognosis of the treatment.Main genes that have been studied on the correlation of SNP with response and prognosis after the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer include:DNA excision and repair gene, matrix metalloproteinase gene, apoptosis related gene, drug metabolism related gene, cell cycle control gene, etc. This review will focus on the advances in correlation of single nucleotide polymorphism with response and prognosis of lung cancer after chemotherapy.
4.Native Research of International Affective Picture System:Assessment in University Students
Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology 2006;0(06):-
Objective:The International Affective Picture System (IAPS) is developed to provide a set of standardized emotional stimuli for experimental investigations of emotion and attention. However, the concerned parameters have not been systematically assessed or testified in Chinese people living in totally different culture from American.Methods:300 subjects were selected to assess the valence, arousal and dominance of all the 704 pictures in IAPS with the order to make the native assessment in China. Results:The results showed significant difference in dimensions of valence and arousal between assessed scores of Chinese subjects and the original data of IAPS,despite a high correlation was observed between them.On pictures containing intense feeling or sexy which contradicted traditional Chinese culture, the valence scores assessed in China were significantly lower than the original data while the arousal scores were significantly higher. Conclusion:It is concluded that native assessment should be seriously considered to select pictures from IAPS while making research for Chinese subjects allowing for the eastern and western cultural differences.
5.Mechanisms of transcutaneous immunization and its application in allergic diseases
Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2016;49(6):441-444
Transcutaneous immunization (TCI) is a novel immunotherapy approach that induces systemic immune responses via topical application of antigens and adjuvants onto the skin.It is a safe and effective method, and is expected to serve as an attractive alternative to traditional vaccination.TCI induces immune responses in different directions, but the exact mechanism of skin immune tolerance is still unclear. Most studies on TCI are based on animal models. However, there are structural differences between animal skin and human skin,so more researches are needed to achieve the translation of TCI from bench to bedside. Not all vaccines are suitable for cutaneous inoculation,so vaccines for TCI should be evaluated for their safety and efficacy.Various reformed vaccine delivery systems are needed to be further explored in related diseases.
6.Clinical value of automatic capillary serum protein electrophoresis in liver cancer
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2016;37(17):2389-2391
Objective To investigate the clinical value of 6‐indicator of albumin ,alpha 1 globulin ,alpha 2 globulin ,beta 1 globu‐lin ,beta 2 globulin and gamma globulin detected by the automatic capillary serum protein electrophoresis in liver cancer disease . Methods Eighty‐three hospitalized patients(51 cases of primary liver cancer and 32 cases of secondary liver cancer) in our hospital from December 2014 to November 2015 were collected .The automatic biochemical analyzer and automatic capillary serum protein e‐lectrophoresis was adopted to detect the 8 indicators of serum albumin(g/L for quantitative indicator and % for qualitative indica‐tor) ,total protein ,alpha 1 globulin ,alpha 2 globulin ,beta 1 globulin ,beta 2 globulin ,gamma globulin .And 100 individuals undergo‐ing the healthy physical examination were randomly extracted as the control group .The levels of above 8 indicators were compared among various groups .Results The level of albumin(% ) and gamma globulin had statistical difference between the primary liver cancer group before treatment and the control group(P<0 .05);the levels of albumin(g/L) ,albumin(% ) ,beta 1 globulin and gam‐ma globulin had statistical difference between the primary liver cancer group after treatment and the control group(P<0 .05);the levels of albumin(g/L) and albumin(% ) after treatment in the primary liver cancer group were decreased compared with before treatment ,the difference was statistical difference(P<0 .05);the sensitivity and specificity of gamma globulin for indicating primary liver cancer were significantly higher than those of the other three indicators;at the same time in the comparison of the positive rate of serum gamma globulin ,the positive rate of serum gamma globulin in the primary liver cancer group was higher than that in the secondary liver cancer group and the control group(P<0 .05) .Conclusion The automatic capillary serum protein electrophoresis detection finds that gamma globulin has some clinical value in the diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer .
7.Optimal management of benign thyroid nodules
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2016;32(8):707-710
[Summary] Thyroid nodules are a common clinical problem, the majority of which are regarded as benign nodules by initial fine-needle aspiration biopsy(FNAB) or ultrasound characteristics. Given the low false negative rate of ultrasound-guided FNAB cytology and the higher yield of missed malignancies based upon nodule sonographic pattern, a routine sonographic surveillance is recommended to the thyroid nodules with benign cytology. If there are any sonographic evidence of growth or development of new suspicious sonographic features, the FNAB could be repeated. Treatment for benign thyroid nodules includes medications, percutaneous ethanol injection, thermal ablation and surgery. In order to avoid over-treatment, the potential harm and benefits of any intervention should be assessed.
8.Application of Microperimeter in the Visual Function Evaluation
Journal of Forensic Medicine 2014;(3):194-196
In condition of direct vision on fundus of eye, microperimeter can quantitatively detect the retinal light sensitivity of macular area, and record real time tracking of the eye, automatically analyze the location and stability of fixation. Microperimeter matches fundus image with micro cyclogram point-to-point, thus it achieves the combination of visual function and structure. The characteristics of microperimeter have good relations with subjective vision, so it can be a new method for the accurate vision evaluation and has application potential to assess the visual function in legal medicine. In this ar-ticle, we summarize the principle, method and parameters of microperimeter. Also, the applications of microperimeter in vision assessment are focused in order to provide a reference for the assessment of visual function in the legal medicine.
9.Discussion of difficult problems of early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer
Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2014;30(8):734-736
Pancreatic cancer is a common malignant neoplasm of the pancreas with an extremely high mortality.Currently, the early diagno-sis of pancreatic cancer is still not ideal.Attention should be paid to some clinical warning symptoms, such as unexplained abdominal and back pain, jaundice, and unexpected diabetes.Additionally, the combined use of CA19-9,CEA,and other tumor markers, the attention to biochemical indicators, the detection of mutation in KAI1 or p53 gene, and the exploration of the value of miRNA in clinical diagnosis are of great significance. On the other hand,ultrasound,CT,MRCP,ERCP,PET-CT,and other imaging methods,as well as effective col-lection of cytology specimens, should be performed. Thus, there is hope for the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
10.Study of Mammographic Diagnosis and Technique in Mammary Tumor
Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(06):-
Objective To explore the mammographic characteristics and technique in mammary tumor. Methods The mammographic materials of 200 cases with breast tumors which were confirmed by surgery, ultrasonography, biopsy or clinic follow-up were collected and analyzed retrospectively. Results Benign mammary tumors were found in 138 cases. They were the masses with round or ellipse in shape mammographically and soft clinically. In 62 cases of breast cancer, the mammogram showed irregular masses in 37 cases (59.7%), oval in 25 (40.3%), clustered tiny calcification in 32 (51.6%) and local infiltration in 4 (6.5%). The masses were hard on palpation, and their sizes were smaller on mammogram than that on palpation. Conclusion mammography is the initial modality for breast tumor, which can demonstrate main direct and indirect signs of the breast cancer, and shares high value in early diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the disease.
