Objective To study the effect of fluoride varnish on microconsistency of enamel after under irradiation in vitro. Methods Normal enamel samples were randomly divided into four groups: control group,irradiation group,fluoride varnish group and fluoride varnish-irradiation group.The microconsistency of enamel surface before and after treatment,after anti-caries test was measured by type MH-5 durometer. Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is the standard treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).However,high incidence of metastasis following TACE has much negative influence on patient survival.In this article,we reviewed negative influence of TACE on biological behavior of residual HCC cells to provide evidence for further application of TACE.

Objective To investigate the antioxidant ability and radiosensitivity in the malignant transformed human bronchial epithelial cell line BEP2D induced by α-particle exposure.Methods Glutathione Peroxidase (GPX),Catalase (CAT) and Glutathione (GSH) assay kits were employed to detect GPX and CAT enzyme abilities and the levels of GSH in BEP2D,RH21 ( passage 21 of α-particle-irradiated BEP2D cells),and BERP35T-1 cells (derived from nude mice bearing malignant transformed cells generated from cells of passage 35 of α-particle-irradiated BEP2D cells).MTT assay were used to test the growth rate of BEP2D,RH21 and BERP35T-1 cells treated with 0,30,60,90,120,and 150 μmoL/L H2O2.Colony-forming test and MTT assay were used to examine the cell survival fraction and the growth rate of BEP2D,RH21 and BERP35T-1 cells exposed to 0,2,4,and 8 Gy of γ-rays,respectively.Results GPX and CAT enzyme activities in RH21 and BERP35T-1 cells were obviously lower than in BEP2D( t = 5.75-67.92 ,P ＜ 0.05 ).CAT enzyme activity in BERP35T-1 was lower than that in RH21 cells (t =22.25 ,P ＜0.01 ).Compared to BEP2D cells,decreased level of GSH was detected in BERP35T-1 cells(t = 7.76,P ＜ 0.05 ),but there was no change in RH21.After treatment with 30,60,90,120,and 150 μmol/L H2O2,the growth rates of BEP2D were all higher than those of BERP35T-1 cells(t = 10.37-58.36,P ＜0.01 ).Meanwhile,the growth rates of BEP2D were all higher than those of RH21 cells after treatment with 60,90,120,and 150 μ mol/L H2O2 (t = 29.90-84.68,P ＜ 0.01 ).In addition,compared to BEP2D cells,decreased cell survival fraction and growth rate of BERP35T-1 cells were observed after irradiation with 2,4,and 8 Gy of y-rays ( t = 5.87-34.17,P ＜ 0.05 ).The cell survival fraction and growth rate of RH21 were all lower than those of BEP2D cells at 4 and 8 Gy post-irradition( t =6.33- 45.00,P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusion The function of antioxidant system decreased in the α-particleinduced transformed cells,which could contribute to the acceleration of cellular malignant transforming process and radiosensitivity.

AIM: To investigate apolipoprotein A-Ⅰ gene (Apo A-Ⅰ) polymorphism and its relationship with serum HDL subclasses in patients with hyperlipidemia (HL). METHODS: Apo A-Ⅰ genotype was assayed by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). The subclasses of serum HDL in 118 patients with hyperlipidemia and 109 healthy subjects were determined by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis conjunction with immunodetection method. RESULTS: Both in HL group and the control group, G/G and C/C genotypes were the most frequent at -78 bp and +83 bp of Apo A-Ⅰ gene, respectively. The frequency of rare A allele at -78 bp in HL group was significantly higher than that in control group. In HL group, subjects with G/A mutation had higher serum levels of TG, Apo C-Ⅲ, pre ?_1-HDL and HDL_ 3a , and lower levels of HDL_ 2a and HDL_ 2b compared to the subjects with G/G genotype. CONCLUSION: The G/A transition in the -78 bp position of the Apo A-Ⅰ gene promoter in patients with hyperlipidemia is associated with HDL subclasses. There is a general shift toward smaller sized HDL, which, in turn, indicates that HDL maturation might be abnormal.

In this article, we report the pancreatic islet cells function of newborn pig pancreatic tissues cultured by Ham F_(10), and the condition of graft survived into the bodies of Sprague-Dawley rats, and also study the influence of Glycyrrhiza uralensis to the grafts. The cultured islet cells of newborn pig were transplanted into the mesenteric cavities (the first & second group), kidney cystic(the third group) and brain tissucs (the fourth group) of the 4 groups adult Sprague-Dawley rats. The first group rats drank Glycyrrhiza uralensis water, after 8～11weeks of operation a examination pathological was made with the cut graft The results showed that the first and second group grafts survived over 11weeks, and survived better the group drunk the Glycyrrhiza uralensis water was much better than other. The purpose of this experiment is to find the heteropolar source of pancreatic tissues offering body.

Objective To discuss the value of combination of various clinical laboratory methods in the diagnosis of Mycobacteri-um tuberculosis(MTB) .Methods T-SPOT .TB ,sputum smear ,sputum culture ,and MTB-DNA detection were used to detect MTB .The sensitivity ,specificity ,rate of missed diagnosis ,coincidence rate and correct diagnosis index for tuberculosis diagnosis of the four methods and their pairwise combinations were analyzed and compared .Results Comparing with other methods ,T-SPOT . TB combined with MTB-DNA detection had the highest sensitivity ,coincidence rate and correct diagnosis index ,and the lowest rate of missed diagnosis ,with significant difference(P<0 .05) .Conclusion T-SPOT .TB combined with MTB-DNA detection could be used as an adjuvant method for the early diagnosis of tuberculosis .
