Hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide (HCN)-gated channels belong to a nonselective ion channel family,which are common in neurocyte and cardiac muscle cell.These channels play important roles in the nervous system because of their characterstics of hyperpolarization activation.Many studies have shown that HCN channels play key point in excitatory synaptic transmission and integration of output signal.With the development of research,more evidences have been found to prove that the motor learning is damaged and spatial learning ability is enhanced in HCN1 knockout mice.There are two potential mechanisms leading to these changes,one is the lack of HCN1 in cerebellum cell,and the other is the lack of HCN1 in trisynaptic circuits of hippocampus.

Objective To in ve stigate quantitatively the expression of pituitary transcription activator (Pit) -1 mRNA in different types of human pituitary adenomas by RT-PCR. Methods Samples were obtained from 35 patients who had unde rgone therapeutic surgery for pituitary adenomas. The type of pituitary adenomas was determined according to serum hormone levels and clinical features, and the grade and the stage of pituitary adenomas were depended on imaging and operatio n observation. Expression of Pit-1 mRNA of pituitary adenomas was assayed by RT -PCR. Results Thirty five patients with pituit ary adenomas consisted of 13 cases with PRL adenomas, 6 cases with GH adenomas, 2 cases with GH/PRL mixed adenomas, 11 cases with clinically non-functioning ad enomas and 3 cases of ACTH adenomas. Pit-1 mRNA was expressed in all PRL, GH an d GH-PRL mixed adenomas and in some non-functioning adenomas (9/11). No Pit-1 mRNA expression was found in ACTH adenomas. ObjectiveTo explore the influence of cognitive behavioral intervention on hospitalized patients with schizophrenia.Methods100 hospitalized schizophrenia patients were randomly divided into experimental group and the control group.Routine treatment given to the patients in the control group and cognitive behavioral intervention was applied to the patients at the same time based on routine treatment in experimental group.The patients were assessed with the mini-mental state examination( MMSE),activities of daily living(ADL) and WHO battery of cognitive assessment instrument(WHO-BCAI) pre-and post-cognitive behavioral intervention.ResultsThe expenrentcl geoup and ntrol group before and after the intervention the average MMSE score was(21.8 ± 3.9),(24.4 ± 4.7 ),(21.5 ±3.4),(22.9 ±3.8) ;ADL score an average of(28.8 ±7.9),(25.1 ±4.5),(27.9 ±7.1),(25.2 ±4.8) (t =6.89,11.13,all P ＜ 0.05 ) ; cognitive function in the auditory vocabulary learning,language skills,visual identification,the connection test and cancellation tests were different ( P ＜ 0.05 or P ＜ 0.01 ).ConclusionCognitive behavioral intervention had positive influence on cognitive function in hospitalized patients with schizophrenia.

AIM:To investigate the peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer ( RNFL ) thickness and the macular ganglion cell complex ( GCC ) thickness in primary open angle glaucoma ( POAG ) eyes and to compare them with normal control eyes, and to evaluate the diagnostic ability of peripapillary RNFL thickness and macular GCC thickness in POAG.
●METHODS:This was a cross-sectional study consisting of 56 POAG patients. The control group consisted of 60 normal subjects (60 eyes) were matched in terms of age, sex, diopter and axial length. The peripapillary RNFL thickness and the macular GCC thickness of POAG eyes and normal control eyes were measured and compared by RTVue-100 optical coherence tomography ( OCT ) . To assess the diagnostic utility of peripapillary RNFL thickness and macular GCC thickness in POAG, receiver operating characteristic curves ( ROC ) and areas under the ROC ( AUC) were used.
●RESULTS:The POAG eyes had a thinner peripapillary RNFL and macular GCC than the control eyes at all the regions ( P < 0. 001 ). Multivariable linear regression analysis showed that the peripapillary RNFL thickness and macular GCC thickness was significantly thinner in association with the POAG diagnosis. ROC and AUC analysis showed that the best AUC parameters were C/D (AUC=0. 936; 95% Cl=0. 903, 0. 964) and superior RNFL thickness (AUC=0. 910;95% Cl=0. 889, 9. 455). The AUC of nasal RNFL thickness, inferior RNFL thickness, temporal RNFL thickness, superior GCC thickness, inferior GCC thickness, and average GCC thickness were all above 0. 8 with a good diagnostic value.
●CONCLUSION:The peripapillary RNFL thickness and macular GCC thickness in POAG eyes are thinner than that of normal control eyes. Decreased peripapillary RNFL thickness and macular GCC thickness may be associated with POAG. The peripapillary RNFL thickness and macular GCC thickness have a good diagnostic value.
