Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2000;0(06):-
Gene expressions of interleukin-6 receptor subunit gp130 and gp80 were investigated by competitive RT-PCR in the rat model of osteoporosis. A significant increase in expressions of gp130 and gp80 was found in bone marrow of osteoporotic rat, this change may be a possible mechanism in osteoporosis due to loss of estrogen.

Objective To establish the HPLC fingerprint of Taoren Xikang pills and provide the method for the quality control and evaluation of the preparation. Methods Methanol extracts of ten batches of Taoren Xikang pills were analyzed with HPLC-UV method. Analysis was performed on C18 column (4.6 mm× 250 mm, 5 μm) with the mobile phase of acetonitrile-water gradient eluted at the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The detection wavelength was 203 nm. Results A standard HPLC fingerprint procedure was developed for Taoren Xikang pills with 26 common peaks. The similarity of 10 batches of Taoren Xikang pills was not lower than 0.9. Conclusion The method is accurate, repeatable and can be used for the quality control of Taoren Xikang pills.

Objective To explore the efficiency of establishing regional critical neonate cure branch centers in decreasing the mortality of neonates and improving the neonatal emergency technology in the hospitals in primary level. Methods According to the admittance standards, critical neonate cure branch centers were founded in the qualified level II maternal and child health hospitals, meanwhile,a series of measures of quality supervision were adopted. We compared the situation of one year before the foundation of centers with that of after the foundation about the quality index of medical care, scientific research and teaching as well as economic indicator. Results During one year after the establishment of regional critical neonate cure branch centers, the annual amount of the inpatients and critical patients as well as the rescue achievement ratio increased, the annual mortality rate reduced, the rate of passing the new teaching test of asphyxia rescue increased and was above 90% in all centers except one,the incidence of neonatal asphyxia decreased in majority of the centers, both financial income and the capability of scientific research and teaching enhanced. Conclusion The establishment of regional critical neonate cure branch centers is beneficial to improve the provincial central hospital as well as the hospitals in primary level. It utilizes medical resource efficiently, promotes the maternal and child health hospitals in primary level to develop diagnosis and treatment as well as scientific research. The establishment is beneficial to raise the survival rate of the pathological neonate, degrade disability rate of the pathological neonate. The medical cost was expended appropriately,so it is worth to be spread generally according to Chinese situation.

AIM and METHODS: To investigate the expression of adhesion molecule β2 integrins (CD11a、 CD11b) and L-selectin(CD62L )on Acute Lymophocyte Leukemia(ALL) cells and its Clinical Implications. Adhesion molecules CD11a、CD11b、 CD62L of 45 ALL patients and 25 health people were measured by flow - cytometric analysis. RESULTS :①CD11a and CD11b expression were lower on ALL cells than the normal hematopoietic cells. The rate of low expression was 100% for CD11b, 50% for CD11a,respectively. CD62L expression were higher on ALL cells than the normal hematopoietic cells.②The CD11a was lower expressed on B - ALL than T- ALL. CD62L was higher on T- ALL than B- ALL. ③The expression of CD11a in the invasion group was much higher than that in the non - invasive group( P < 0.05).④The levels of CD11a,CD11b were returned to normal levels at remission. CONCLUSION: These results suggest that there are abnormalities in the expression of cell adhesion molecules in ALL which may help identify ALL subtypes and the treatment effect.

Objective To approach on the expression pattern of MMP-2 and E-Cadherin in the effects of gastrin on gastric canc-er cells ,so as to investigate their role in the metastasis and invasion of gastric cancer .Methods Genomic DNA modified by sodium bisulfite was used as a template .RQ-MSP detect the methylation status of the gene promoter .The relative amount of Methylation status was performed with comparative threshold cycle (2- △ t ) method .Results MMP-2 and E-Cadherin genes in gastric cancer cells were at hemimethylated status in gastrin before and after the intervention .Gastrin can reduce the methylation levels of MMP-2 gene(P<0 .05) ,but the could be effected by proglumide receptor antagonist to some certain extent (P>0 .05) .Gastrin can pro-mote the methylation levels of MMP-2 gene ,but proglumide decrease that effect (P<0 .05) .Conclusion Gastrin plays a certain role in the biological behavior of gastric cancer impact by changeing on the expression pattern of MMP-2 and E-Cadherin in the effects of gastrin on gastric cancer cells .
